I’m pretty sick of our president turning his office into a pulpit to preach in favor of Islam. We didn’t elect him to whitewash Wahhabism while ducking out of National Prayer day.

Whatever happened to the separation of church and state on the left? I guess mosques don’t count.

Our ‘enlightened leader’ is forgetting that some Muslims could care less if it is Ramadan. They’ll commit an act of violence against a fellow Muslim regardless that it’s Islam’s holiest month. A truly great religion doesn’t harm it’s followers if they disagree on a few points. During my lifetime I’ve yet to see true believing Christians kill one another during Christmas or Easter. Nothing against the Islamic faith but I can recall from memory more achievements in our country that came from the Christian community and from Non-Christian people who still held to a set of basic morals.

Ahh, the missing Andre Carson, the “Rep” from my area. Had wondered what had happened to him, he must have been hiding out in Washington, must have never came home after all the faxes I sent him demanding he host a townhall meeting here. And I was under the assumption tha the very title, “Representative” meant that he is supposed to represent us, the taxpayer. Stupid me. Oh, and he keeps the fact that he is a muslim very quiet.

Lest we forget, nearly two years ago the US House of Representatives passed a motion 376-0 recognizing Ramadan and expressing “the deepest respect to Muslims in the United States and throughout the world”.

-To me, this is mocking Christianity. While we may not technically be a Christian nation (for which I am grateful, theocracies are doomed to failure), Christianity has played an undeniable (though liberals will try) role in our history.

“A few years ago,” Obama said, “he explained this view — and this is part of why he’s The Greatest — saying, ‘Rivers, ponds, lakes and streams — they all have different names, but they all contain water. Just as religions do — they all contain truths.”

-Not even Muslims believe this non-sense. While we may grant that most religions contain a speck of truth, almost every religion (and in particular Islam and Christianity) insists on being the only bearer of all truth. Which only makes sense, unless you have the only path, what’s the point?

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama on Tuesday praised American Muslims for enriching the nation’s culture at a dinner to celebrate the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

“The contribution of Muslims to the United States are too long to catalog because Muslims are so interwoven into the fabric of our communities and our country,” Obama said at the iftar, the dinner that breaks the holiday’s daily fast.

The president joined Cabinet secretaries, members of the diplomatic corps and lawmakers to pay tribute to what he called “a great religion and its commitment to justice and progress.”

Attendees included Congress’ two Muslim members — Reps. Keith Ellison and Andre Carson as well as ambassadors from Islamic nations and Israel’s ambassador to the United States, Michael Oren.

Obama shared the story of Bilqis Abdul-Qaadir, another invited guest, who broke a state record for most career points as a Massachusetts high school student.

“As an honor student, as an athlete on her way to Memphis, Bilqis is an inspiration not simply to Muslim girls — she’s an inspiration to all of us,” he said.

Obama also noted the contributions of Muhammad Ali, who was not in attendance, though the president borrowed a quote from famous boxer, explaining religion.
