Obama Calls Putin ‘Slouching, Bored Kid In Class’

From the UK’s Daily Mail:

Obama hits out at Putin for having ‘that kind of slouch, looking like the bored kid in the classroom’

By David Martosko In Washington | 9 August 2013

In a stunning dismissal of a head of state  with whom he has to work on pressing international matters, President Barack Obama referred to Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday with language more descriptive of a schoolboy than the leader of 143 million people.

Asked whether he can get ‘big stuff done without having a good personal relationship with Putin,’ Obama responded by noting that ‘I know the press likes to focus on body language and he’s got that kind of slouch, looking like the bored kid in the classroom.’

Mr. Obama sure has a big mouth when he knows he isn’t going to meet Putin, face to face. Besides, Obama is no ‘West Pointer’ when it comes to posture. Moreover, his own usual attitude is that of sullen student who already knows everything and can’t be told anything.

But as shutters snapped and reporters shared wary glances, the president insisted that ‘I don’t have a bad personal relationship with Putin. When we have conversations, they’re candid, they’re blunt; oftentimes, they’re constructive.’ …

They are also cringingly submissive. (Such as his message to Putin of his promise to be more ‘flexible’ after the elections.)

Obama insisted that his administration will continue to ‘calibrate the relationship’ it has with the Kremlin.

‘There’s always been some tension in the U.S.-Russian relationship since the fall of the Soviet Union,’ he said. ‘There are just going to be some differences, and we’re not going to be able to completely disguise them, and that’s okay.’ …

The only tensions we have been able to discern is over Russia’s treatment of homosexuals. Obama has been hunky dory with everything else.

Obama addressed the increasing attention placed on the 2014 Winter Olympics scheduled to be held in Sochi, Russia. ‘I do not think it’s appropriate to boycott the Olympics,’ he said.

Why not? He’s done just about everything else that Jimmy Carter did.

But rather than attribute the decision to his position on the chilled U.S.-Russia relations, he emphasized that he made it in spite of the Russian government’s stance on prosecuting homosexuals.

‘If Russia doesn’t have gay and lesbian athletes,’ he said, ‘it’ll probably make their team weaker.’ …

Thank goodness Obama has his priorities. He is no slouch when it comes to defending gay rights. America national’s interests, however, not so much.

‘There’s always been some tension in the U.S.-Russian relationship since the fall of the Soviet Union,’

yes mr president, you are constantly faced with new and unprecedented situations never before seen or imagined by your predecessors. U.S. soviet relations were absolutely fraternal during the previous 5 decades.

I suppose if one could provide evidence that some of russia’s top athletes are gay, maybe you could make the case that it would hurt the team’s overall performance by prohibiting their participation. the whole thing is a canard.

  3. Greg Gutfeld said his wife, who is Russian, told him that the translation of what nerobama said was much more insulting than just being called a slouch or bored. According to him it was more like nerobama called the president of Russia an unkempt schoolboy insinuating he was lazy and/or stupid.

We can only imagine what type of insult this translates to in other languages. Putin’s ego won’t allow that to slide by without a response. We may never know what harm these remarks have caused.

This idiot’s going to start a damn war without even realizing it. Not that I give a damn about Putin but other world leaders have to be wondering what names Obama calls them.

I’d go on Pay Per View to see the both of them
put on the gloves and get in the ring! Probably
wouldn’t go three rounds though, considering
the physical development of both men. Always
said international relations are much like children’s
    interactions.
