Obama Camp Uses WWII Vets In ‘Shutdown’ Ad

From an unfazed Politico:

Closed memorial in OFA shutdown ad

By TAL KOPAN | October 7, 2013

Organizing for Action, the nonprofit advocacy group that grew out of President Barack Obama’s campaign, is out with a new ad attacking Republicans over the government shutdown that includes footage of closed monuments on the national mall.

The ad, titled “Irresponsible,” will run for a week on national cable channels including MSNBC and CNN, an OFA spokeswoman said.

In the 30-second spot, the words “irresponsible”, “reckless” and “destructive” appear onscreen spliced with clips of Republicans including Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) talking about the shutdown, with Bachmann saying how happy Republicans are.

As the narrator says the shutdown and a potential debt default will hurt families, seniors and children, video rolls of a closed monument on the mall and a World War II veteran trying to visit the war’s memorial.

Now that is chutzpah. The Obama campaign is using the same WWII vets that their boss is purposefully locking out of the Washington Mall’s monuments and memorials for the first time in history.

None of these monuments and memorials have ever been closed in any of the previous 17 government shutdowns.

The veterans at the monument last week became a symbol of the shutdown, with politicians from both sides of the fight showing up to help them past barricades and to blame the other side for the damage done.

There were politicians there from the left? We never saw them.

The ad closes with a picture of House Speaker John Boehner and Majority Leader Eric Cantor with the narrator urging, “Tell them to stand up to the tea party: Enough already.”

Plagiarists. The Tea Party stands for ‘Taxed Enough Already.’

It sends viewers to a website where they can sign up with an email address and zip code to “add your name.”

This will backfire on the Obama campaign, big time. Because most Americans don’t believe the Tea Party would do anything to hurt our veterans. Most people don’t see Tea Party supporters as the type who want to shut down our national parks or any of the monuments to our history.

Most people believe the Tea Party supporters actually love this country. Unlike the other side.

This ad reminds me of one of those stories about a drunk, abusive, live-in boyfriend that beats his wife for no reason and yells at her, “look what you made me do!” That’s essentially what nerobama is doing here.

Vindictive, that is the one word that describes Barry the Bungler to a tee.
