"Organize America"? Obamy couldn't organize a ham sandwich.

He preaches the politics of fear-baiting, talks down the stock-market daily, and warns of economic catastrophe...

Let the "catastrophe" come. I much prefer working my way out of that than the alternative Dear Leader would impose upon us all.

Can we just get rid of this commie clown?

A jewel from the webpage above: "Reason governs the Imagination"

That's why libs are so wacky. They don't use reason for judgment and decision making--they use it for imagination.

Obama is acting as if he is the only one in Washington that was "chosen" by the people. Every Senator and Congressman must do what's best for the people who "chose" them also. I am already sick to death of hearing this President rant whenever he is not agreed with. It's going to be a looooooong four years. Yes, I said four years.

Other than the Shiria law part, the whole thing is dead on accurate.

The first paragraph in particular is an accurate reflection of our government or any government. It's such a truism that I would say it DEFINES what government is. That's why we need less of it, not more.

The Dope hasn't figured a few things out yet:

As a "constitutional lawyer" - does he grasp the concept of seperation of powers? Why does this dolt continue to reference "he won, get behind me, voters chose me, me, me". I suggest he retakes Civics 101 - and not in Chicago , NYC or Indonesia.

What part of DEMS in the Senate not going along for the HopeyChangey ride has he not figured out?

Bashing Bush is fodder for Kos kids and sub 75 IQ liberals - which is a good chunk. When people still dont have jobs, are working their asses off to pay the mortgage without a bailout (most honest Americans), paying down debt - they will not give 1 second of thought to how Bush - who I might add flourished leading our economy over 8 years - "screwed them up". No - the first hammer to drop will be their local representative, 1994 redux.

Time to put up or shut up dope, get a clue on how government works, bills are passed - in fact can someone send him School House Rock's "I'm Just a Bill"... it will be eye opening to Bambi.

one trillion dollars to stimulate the economy. only 120 billion actually being used to prevent this catastrophe being shouted from the rooftops. Ok, how about allowing a one time grant of 50 thousand dollars, tax free of course, people who can produce a W-2 form , or a copy of their 1040a from any of the past three years, and let the private sector choose which businesses will fail, and which will survive. People will pay off bills, catch up on mortgage payments, refinance, whatever. It will infuse that lofty trillion dollars directly into the economy, businesses will begin to thrive again, consumer confidence will go way up, durable goods will again be in demand, and all of the ancillary small businesses that rely on larger corporations doing well would benefit immediately.

The way the stimulus bill stands now, those magic four million new jobs touted by the Obama administration stand to cost about 225,000 each. divide that by four, for ease of math, and you quadruple the actual beneficiaries at 50k each...and 12 million people get a head start. Since the hidden costs of the stimulus package amortized through the next four years is actually a hell of a lot more than 1 trillion, again, one can easily give over 50 million households 50k without missing a beat. The HUGE reason this would work is, there is no "group", or "project" that would get a large lump sum to spend on whatever they wanted.

The businesses existing would have to actually compete for consumer dollars..dollars they have and will eagerly spend, and the sense of entitlement would fade as the businesses who cant or wont offer the consumer something of value would fold. NO bailouts of any kind. This "catastrophe" that Obama is warning us of is of the democrat's own making. Their party will suffer a loss of power and a dependent voter base if people are allowed to determine their own financial future without the safety net of governmental entitlements. The aspect of people acting unfettered from governmental largess frightens them, for their grip on power depends on them controlling every part of potential voter's lives. Voters, not human beings.

YES!! My idea is fraught with pitfalls! YES! My idea is probably way too simple. BUT, at least my idea is more sound than the lunacy that is before the Senate right now. AT least my idea actually empowers the people to stimulate the economy by purchasing what they need, rather than depending on the institutions and the government to cherry pick which businesses stay and which fail. It's too easy, kind of like a fair tax system where everyone just pays a certain percentage, and the government gets what used to be called a budget. What scalds my ass is how easily it could be fixed if we had elected officials who were actually concerned about fixing the huge problems they are directly responsible for causing, but instead are more concerned about keeping their offices and perks while the rest of the nation is allowed to atrophy and hemhorrhage to keep their egos viable.

If our government was truly for the people, this entire debacle could be fixed in under two years.....that is why we, the people, will never be allowed an opportunity to fix it ourselves. See, that would be capitalism....at it's best. That flies in the face of the ongoing rush to socialize and paralyze the system before the population figures out what is happening to them. This isnt the first time a group of power hungry people have sacrificed an entire population to remain in power.

And it wont be the first time that population decides they have had enough. Just wait.

I'm not a CEO nor have a received a hefty CEO bonus, but I've seen reports on tv such bonuses do indeed stimulate the economy; the local governments want the tax money that will be paid on it, as well as it buys luxury items - that keeps quite a few people employed, actually - not to mention this kind of money is spent on electronics, restaurants, , investments, etc. . the list is endless, of course. As well as your comments about McCain - there's nothing wrong with being short, no one can help being old, and although I opposed McCain quite often and was not happy with him, I know he's not 'spineless' and it's obvious he's not spineless - . To my understanding, the weak link in the primaries was when any party could vote and the Dems and independents selected McCain. I don't have a clue how it could be done, but steps should be taken to insure the voting isn't swayed. I'm not sure how this would work since there are many questions and issues involved.
