Obama Church Requires Black Christian Class

As we noted back in January 2007, this ad showed up in an earlier Trinity bulletin:

So did Michelle and Barack take this course? Have their children?

What is the curriculum one wonders?

More importantly, would a white politician who belonged to a white church that required a ‘White and Christian Class’ get a pass?

The rest of the advertisement can be viewed here.

This is a sick church.

Keep ‘em coming guys and gals - this can only insure that He Who Cannot Be Named will not be our next POTUS. . .

No Ist, I tend to slightly disagree with you - this is an abomination of the words Christian and chuch.

And I seriously question the United Church of Christ for allowing this to continue using (and defaming) their name as I do with the Westboro clan tearing down the name Baptist Church.

But until the Church Organizations themselves speak up - they deserve the bad rep they are getting for not speaking out against it - much like HWCBN got for not speaking out against Rev Wright.

Vacation Bible school must be a real hoot for this bunch.

I’d seriously be interested to find out what they “teach” in that “class.”

Can anyone imagine the level of outrage if McCain attended a church that had a “class” in being white and Christian?

The double standard toward race in this country is sickening…and I’m getting especially fed up with blacks saying that only whites can be racists (usually delivered as “Don’t you be callin’ me racist, you cracker honkey mofo! Don’t you know that only you white cracker rednecks are racist? Callin’ me black ain’t PC…you better call me ‘African American,’ you hick whitey KKK’er!”).

God, how I hope something good comes out of this…like getting blacks to see how hypocritical they sound sometimes. Not all blacks, just the racist ones…like Obama, Jesse Jackson, Moss, McKinney, Waters and apparently most who follow those sleazeballs…(and I keep praying that it’s not greater than 50 percent of the 13 percent of our population which happens to be black)

Yeah, I bet they hire homeless white guys to act as targets for their shive 101 training.

“I must tell you that Israel was the closest ally to the White Supremacists of South Africa. In fact, South Africa allowed Israel to test its nuclear weapons in the ocean off South Africa. The Israelis were given a blank check: they could test whenever they desired and did not even have to ask permission. Both worked on an ethnic bomb that kills Blacks and Arabs.”

Why would a Christian Church post this letter in their Church Bulletin

wardmama4 - they are speaking out - they’re the victims and currently being “crucified”…

I see the reverend is coming baccccckkkkkk to their radio by popular demand. I didn’t figure he was retiring.

Petra; Wright disappeared from the radar for the same reason “Maudlin Michelle” did. Damage control. Both will return, just as a bad penny always turns up. Our job is to assure that these issues don’t fade from the public awareness.

Diane -> I’m still perplexed about the racial composition of that church. I have yet to find anything resembling statistics, but I keep running across the word “multiracial” with respect to the church (and the reference to that lone white member). Did the non-black members get a special membership class? No doubt a separate but equal class.

Excellent points!

Trinity Church requires a “Black Christian” class in order to a become member????????

Let me tell y’all a little story.
Yesterday, Easter Sunday, My mother and I attended sunrise services at one church, 11 am services at my nephew’s church and 7 pm services at our church. Towards the end of the 11am service the pastor stood with a couple by his side and announced that they wished to join the church. He asked the congregation to vote, not with their hands or mouth, but in their hearts and he quickly announced their acceptance into the congregation. Everyone broke out into rousing applause and many “praise Jesus’” could be heard echoing off the 150 year old walls of the church. At this point, every person in attendance, including me, went forward and hugged, shook hands, prayed with and welcomed the couple to their fold. It was a moving experience and quite reassuring of the love and acceptance of God. That’s how easy it was for this couple to join the church. No “class”. No test to take. Only acceptance. On the ride home my mother stated that she had seen them in many services at various churches and was glad they felt so accepted by our townsfolk and that she was, despite all she sees in the news, still hopeful for mankind’s ability to live in peace with one another under God’s rule. I agreed. There still exists that love in this often warring world.
Oh…. did I mention the couple was black? It doesn’t matter, but it proves these idiots, Wright, Moss, Cone and Obama, wrong. I wonder if I would be so easily accepted into their fold? Doesn’t matter. I would never take part in such a racist enterprise.

I’m white and I’ve actually taken this course. I was only able to reach “stage 2″ as I had to frequently urinate from all the Kool Aid that was a prerequisite beverage, forcing me to miss stage 3. What I did learn was that holding your hands together like Oprah, is actually the “white method” of praying and not considered as effective as the preferred”crossing of the fingers black church method”. (Jesus was black) I passed the “Walk the Isle” test with flying colours though. My church membership is still pending. Turns out I may be too white…..

Seriously, I grew up in a Pentecostal church whose racial make up was about 75 % African Americans and we sang , danced and rocked out to The Lord -together. Never in my time there did I hear any racial, divisive preaching as these loons are spewing. It was a shame the town drunk brought a snake to service one Sunday and ruined it all.

The class covers the history of the United Church of Christ as a denomination. It also goes over the history of TUCC including all the pastors prior to Rev Wright. they explain the history of the Black church in America and also explains how a worship service at TUCC differs from other UCC’s. Every member Black, White and Hispanic must take this course to join.

Doc, You want to know what the biggest lie is? We republicans and conservatives are racist. The truth of the matter is that it was the demonicrats who passed all those Jim Crow and school segregation laws. It was Democrats who fought tooth and nail against civil rights legislation. People like Al Gore’s father, http://larouchepub.com/other/2....._gore.html

and Robert Byrd (former KKK).
http://www.capmag.com/article.asp?ID=383

July 2, 1964: Democrat President Johnson signed the 1964 Civil Rights Act after former Klansman Robert Byrd’s 14-hour filibuster and the votes of 22 other Senate Democrats (including Tennessee’s Al Gore, Sr.) failed to scuttle the measure. Illinois Republican Everett Dirksen rallied 26 GOP senators and 44 Democrats to invoke cloture and allow the bill’s passage. According to John Fonte in the January 9, 2003, National Review, 82 percent of Republicans so voted, versus only 66 percent of Democrats
http://www.nationalreview.com/murdock/mu...

What really irks me is that blacks in this country vote %90 for democrats and think republicans are racists when all the evidence is to the contrary. You couldn’t get any other race in one room and they agree on anything %90 of the time. Nothing! How is it they have been bamboozled for so long? They’ve been voting this way for over fifty years and they still complain about the same old things. If I voted for a party that long and nothing changed I would be looking for a new strategy because that one isn’t working. Blindly following these liars only begets more misery for them and yet they still follow, even cheering their masters on. The democrat party is the new Plantation and you guys just take what the “massa’” says as truth and believe the people trying to liberate you are really your captures. Republicans freed African slaves once in this country and we’d gladly do it again if only you all would gives us a little help. Until then, I don’t feel any sorrow for the plight of inner city or any other blacks. None. We’ve tried to bring you school choice, which most black parents want, but you keep voting in the people who deny it to you. Why is that? Ask yourself why they oppose it. It’s because they would no longer be able to dumb down your children enough to buy the lies they keep telling them, they would no longer have control over your destiny and they would lose their power over you, but you still continue to allow it because it’s easier to allow someone else to run your life than it is to be self reliant and have personal responsibility for ones self.

Booker T. Washington wrote….
“Think about it: We went into slavery pagans; we came out Christians. We went into slavery pieces of property; we came out American citizens. We went into slavery with chains clanking about our wrists; we came out with the American ballot in our hands…Notwithstanding the cruelty and moral wrong of slavery, we are in a stronger and more hopeful condition, materially, intellectually, morally, and religiously, than is true of an equal number of black people in any other portion of the globe.” - in Up From Slavery
And this one says it all. Booker T. Washington said…
“There is another class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs….There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who do not want the patient to get well, because as long as the disease holds out they have not only an easy means of making a living, but also an easy medium through which to make themselves prominent before the public.”

Liberalism has been the downfall of many peoples in this country and one, hopefully soon; the people of this country will wake up to this fact.
“The tone and tendency of liberalism…is to attack the institutions of the country under the name of reform and to make war on the manners and customs of the people under the pretext of progress.”

Noyzmakr - Very informative post - will read later.

Obama links cost of war to economic hardships:
http://weblogs.chicagotribune......log/obama/

…in the bulletin:

Jeremiah Wright ->”Billions of dollars have been diverted from education, health care, and the needs of the poor in this land and around the world.”
See pdf link to thread starter above.

Same ideology, at least, where the economy is concerned - The Redistribution Doctrine - one for you and ten for me.They’re both millionaires!

Jeremiah and Obama are cut from the same cloth w/ similar backgrounds in middleclass suburbia - good schools/colleges but give the ‘impression’ they’re ghetto.

Pastors Note:
Jeremiah mentions the “trans-Atlantic Slave Trade” but doesn’t appear to implicate Islam. (He’s doing his readers a disservice as I’m sure he knows the history, but in his mind according to his letter, we’re the ones who are “only fed a media diet on Islam as it relates to the “war on terror” and the Palestinian muslm problem in the “state” of Israel.” He then directs his readers to “a very helpful article on one branch of Islam in 2007″ - by Omid Safi. “Progressive Islam seeks to stand in opposition to allf orms of economic exploitation as well as imperialism including today’s most dominant variety: American.

Omid Safi continues with the Marxist doctrine disguised as progressive Islamic doctrine and ends with - though we’re progressive muslims we must hold onto OUR basic Islamic doctrine. He slips in Gandhi, peace, love etc., and ends with - “this movement (progressive) can mature into a force that embodies the teachings of compassion and justice that stand at the very heart of the Islamic tradition.” They’re banking that the majority don’t know much about Islam - indoctrination. This is how Hitler infiltrated the churches in Germany. Socialism is a disease and when coupled with Islam it’s a cancer.

More trouble for presidential hopeful: Inquiry by conservative US media outlets reveals that Obama advisor Merrill ‘Tony’ McPeak is a longtime anti-Israel critic who slammed American Jews for acting against US interests

It all ties in…anti-American, anti-Israel, pro- any country who hates the USA and Israel.
And this is what Obama supports! No wonder he has the radical lefties kissing his butt.

“The class covers the history of the United Church of Christ as a denomination.”
Rev Wright seemed to feel that much of what is being taught in the class comes from the Nicaragua history of 26 or so years Ago

“WRIGHT: The black value system, which was developed by the congregation, by laypersons of the congregation, 26 years ago, very similar to the gospel (INAUDIBLE) developed by laypersons in Nicaragua during the whole liberation theology movement, 26, 28, 30 years ago, yes.”

Since the only thing being developed in Nicaragua doing that time frame was the Marxist movement known as the Sandinista ” Communist Nicaraguan Dictator Daniel Ortega. Ortega, head of the notorious Sandinista party, seized power in a coup in 1979 and quickly consolidated power. Torture, prison, and the execution and imprisonment of thousands of Nicaraguans soon followed. Private property was seized and media, banks and factories nationalized. The Sandistas were especially brutal towards some of the native Indian tribes, liquidating their leadership, imprisoning, and displacing them. In 1984 Ortega held a fraudulent Presidential election and claimed victory, but the opposition boycotted the election and began armed resistance. Before and during his revolution and rule Oretega was supported by Communist Cuba and the Soviet Union. (9) The Sandinistas also began supported the Communist revolution in neighboring El Salvador. From 1980 to 1992 over 75,000 people died in El Salvador. Link

Shouldn’t we be hearing more about this part of the TUCCs history?

“10. A congregation working towards ECONOMIC PARITY.”

The only way to achieve economic parity without seeking middleclassness is for the middle class to become impoverished. American haters will not be happy until we’re all EQUALLY impoverished

Michelle caught on video calling Americans ignorant and stereotyped.

A new video has surfaced showing Michelle Obama in a January 2008 speech in South Carolina, saying the following about America:

“We don’t like being pushed outside of our comfort zones. You know it right here on this campus. You know people sitting at different tables- you all living in different dorms. I was there. You’re not talking to each other, taking advantage that you’re in this diverse community. Because sometimes it’s easier to hold on to your own stereotypes and misconceptions. It makes you feel justified in your own ignorance… That’s America. So the challenge for us is are we ready for change?”

Keep your mouth shut just for 8 months Michelle, will ya? We need to win this thing.

22. Noyzmakr

A real eye-opener is right. This guy has a recorder in his head and just repeats everything he hears.

Michelle….what can I say. Did you notice on the DemU site all the “She’s Right” comments. What idiots.

It seems Michelle was really paying attention at Rev. Wright’s sermons.

Way to go Petra! ;0)
