Obama Concludes Fundraising Trip – With A Photo Op

From the Washington Examiner:

After saying he’s not interested in photo-ops, Obama concludes Texas trip with … a photo-op

By T. Becket Adams | July 10, 2014

President Obama ended a visit to the Lone Star State with an impromptu photo-op at Franklin Barbecue in Austin, Texas, rounding out a two-day trip that included numerous speaking engagements, raising millions of dollars for Democratic candidates and complaining loudly about Republican opposition.

The president’s BBQ photo-op comes less than 24 hours after he said during a press conference Wednesday that he would not visit the U.S.-Mexico border because he’s not “interested in photo-ops.” …

But we are supposed to laugh along. It’s all good clean fun to watch Obama ignore this invasion. It’s sort of like skipping a close friend’s funeral to go to a party next door. Except Obama never really liked this close friend. (America.)

But, oddly enough, even the Washington Post is noticing the absurdity:

Is every Obama visit a photo-op?

By Colby Itkowitz | July 10, 2014

President Obama didn’t visit the U.S.-Mexico border on his trip to Texas this week because he said a “photo-op” would not solve the immigration crisis.

This is undoubtedly true. It wouldn’t. But would a “photo-op” create jobs, fix bridges, clean-up the Gulf after the BP oil spill, rebuild the Jersey Shore after a hurricane, stabilize the Korean peninsula? …

In September 2011, with the economy still struggling to recover, Obama gave a speech in front of the aging Brent Spence Bridge on the Ohio River to make the case for creating jobs and rebuilding our infrastructure.
In April 2010, the President went down to Louisiana to survey the damage caused by the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

He was trying to find out who’s ass he needed to kick.

In May 2012, Obama took a quick trip over to Afghanistan on the one-year anniversary of the death of Osama bin Laden…

Oh, come on, he had to take another victory lap.

In October 2012, Obama visited the devastated Jersey shore after Hurricane Sandy.
In June 2012, Obama went to Colorado to see the areas ravaged by wildfires.
In March 2012, Obama visited the tense border between North and South Korea…

It’s clear none of those were ‘serious issues’ for Obama. In fact, it’s clear nothing has ever been a serious issue for Obama, except maybe his election and re-election, and ‘fundamentally transforming America.’

He WILL go down in history as either the worst, or second worst US President. Of this fact, I have no doubt.

    D.

  2. Obama’s entire presidency has been about optics, not substance. What is perplexing to me is that the media sees the same optics that we do and have yet to ask themselves… Is this guy a traitor, a moron, or just a garden variety puppet for some other traitor or moron.

They have up until now turned a blind eye to the optics, and stood fast for the myth that has been created that the man is even remotely capable, or even interested in running the United States of America for the benefit of its’ people. He puts more effort (and more time) into his freakin’ golf game.
