Perhaps playing that card too soon will indeed derail his "health scare" box cars of the unwitting..

Anything... is proof to the brain-dead minions.. It simply must make the news, and it is automatically replete with marching tunes.

Yes - you are right. His true colors are showing.

He is playing by "The Rules for Radicals:"

Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it (Alinsky 1972: 130). This is perhaps Saul Alinsky’s most controversial rule and is the counter to the common idea that we should not make things personal. When pursuing the changes in the inheritance law for paintings he targets one individual. He will often find out who the CEO is in a company and hound that person. In the organophosphates debate it is one scientist that he targets and the validity of his findings.

"It was most definitely a major screw up "

Maybe yes, maybe no.

The race card was bound to be played about Health Scare, and this is the way he has played it for now.

At the very least, it's a distraction from the Health Scare "conversation".

It bothers us, of course, but do you honestly think his brain-dead minions are disturbed by the Gates episode? Hardly. They LOVE it. To them, it's just further proof of white racism.

I wonder now if this isn't even a little bigger than most would expect out of such a "minor" incident..

It was most definitely a major screw up on O-Who's part. He has revealed a (dare I say) darker side that is very unlikeable.

I wrote on this and decided to not publish, but as it was discussed more, I decided to post.. http://michigantaxes.com/wordpress/the-pigs-were-stupid/ I hope the title isn't too offensive.. It DOES MATTER that our president lowers himself to this level. In a way its a shame, as I thought we were over this type of race baiting.

I would love to see a reformed black liberal, now conservative, come out with a book titled: 'Squandered Dreams of Our Fathers.' And have it subtitled 'How the Black Community forsook the moral high ground in favor of racial and political payback.' As a side note. Gates would never had done this to the German police if he were in Germany. Because they would have beat the living hell outta' him for being unruly and uncooperative. In America it's known as police brutality. In Germany it's called police tactics.

Many are suggesting that the officer should have exercised discretion and let the prof go. Discretion was thrown out the door a long time ago. It seems that civil rights advocates and others insisted that whites received more lenient treatment than African-Americans. Strict procedures - similar to those "zero tolerance" instituted in the schools - were instituted so that all were treated equally by law enforcement. All were cuffed: men, women, old men and adolescents.

Madoff was made to do the same perp-walk as say Jeffrey Dahlmer. In each encounter the suspects are supposed to be treated the same: whether you are Harvard professor or a young punk with 9 miles of bad attitude. In this case it was a Harvard professor with 9 miles of bad attitude. The case was handled according to "standard procedure". It ironic that equal treatment that was lobbied for by the civil rights establishment resulted in Professor Gate's a trip to the police station.

As a Rev Wright would said, "dem chickens have come home to ROOOOOOOOOOOoost!"

What Rusty is talking about is "affirmative lieing". To do it, you maintain the lie, but give ground serially, with the expectation that you will wear the questioner down.

- I didn't rob the house. I was out of town.
- I was in town, but I didn't rob the house. I was at home in a different neighborhood.
- ok, if was walking in that neighborhood, but I have several witnesses who can vouch for me every second.

etc.

Obama does this all the time. Rev Wright and Bill Ayers are notable examples.

He has many other techniques to lie as well.

Even considering Clinton, nobody has ever lied like this guy.

Every word he says is a lie of some sort.

His entire life is a lie.

C-bear. Some. I noted the big O's press secretary's weak defense...and fell back on some of my racial relations/ethics training from the military. I was still in the midst of editing my post when I saw yours and had to think about it. And yes, I have been watching the news....but not the MSM. Never pay any attention to the MSM.

I think he's going to try to hide in plain sight while fueling a racial feud. He hates the criticism he's received of late and would dearly welcome the spotlight being removed from his gray/not-gray scalp. Unless, of course, it's unwavering fawning praise.

*Addendum:

You give me too much credit. I am not psychic. So far as I know my dog is the only one who can read minds in my house. But thanks.

Indeed. But like the bully who gets caught in a simple war of words, and accidentally admits to something he'd rather not, Blammo has taken off the mask of "unifier" and shown he really is "the dark knight" so to speak.

The next few days will prove to be very interesting as right this very minute, I am sure he and his toadies are laboring over how to spin this so it appears to be less of the crap-bomb it very much is.

Step one, like any true racist does, is to downplay it.

"Oh come on...who hasn't said something they wish they hadn't? We're all friends here, right?"

If that fails, it's on to step two: Admitting fault but qualifying it with that's not what he really meant.

"OK...I said that, but what I REALLY meant was that the whole incident was stupid...not that the COPS were stupid"

Then step three: reverse the blame

"Look, white people do this kind of thing all the time....why isn't it ok for black people to do it?"

And on and on. From the "it's not you, it's me" to the "I really mis-spoke" defense.

But before I get too lost in the psychobabble/mechanics of a losing argument, I have to point out that at EVERY OPPORTUNITY when whites have this problem, even in the midst of a genuine faux-pas, blacks afford no quarter. I refer directly to Howard Cosell's, "Look at that monkey run!" , Sept 5, 1983 for which he was fired two months later. And thus, none shoud be granted to Obama.

And so this becomes a test of real equality; A real opportunity for him to put his money where his mouth is. If he comes out and says, "I said it, and I meant it to mean that the officers were being stupid racists. However, it was a knee-jerk reaction and I was foolish to say it and have thought better of my words since then. I apologize and beg forgiveness". Well, one might see their way clear to cautiously let it pass. Give him the benefit of the doubt in a mea culpa sort of way.

Which, we know he will never say. His inability to admit fault of any kind will see to that.

Therefore, we're left with the psychobabble and weak mechanics as mentioned before. And thus, no matter how much spin is placed on it....it is as plain as his choice for the next supreme court justice's words were just days ago.

And, going further, as had been pointed out, everyone is racist...or at least prejudiced somehow. It's just a matter of degree. The difference is about a person's character and willingness to overcome that racism in order to get along and take the chance that maybe that person isn't as they initially see them.

Reaching across the aisle and being a unifier means that they must do so by example. Blammo has done none of this. In fact, so-called card-carrying racists of the past have done more and better on an individual basis than this narrow-minded son-of-a-bitch.

Unfortunately, he fails to realize, or maybe he does, that he is in a position to ignite a very serious fire. In fact, that may be his plan all along as when the voices of criticism become too loud, like a spoiled manipulative brat, such as he is, can pit two dogs against one another and fade into the fog whilst they go at it.

So he may be starting a diversion. Get the country all riled up about race and have them fight it out while he hides his incompetence in plain sight. I used to observe that ploy on many the sitcom and most obviously on such shows as Lost In Space and Gilligan's Island. There's no doubt that he would prefer the NAACP go after everyone and put the rest of whitey on the defensive and who knows, Gates may be a willing dupe....allowing himself to be scrutinized in order to take heat off of Blammo..while simultaneously garnering publicity for his upcoming documentary.

Such things happen all the time in politics...though seldom on this subject...that of racism.

In the long run, I would hope that everyone at the table is wise to the ruse and simply gives it little attention and thus, continues the scrutiny of Obama's failed policies and politics. That's usually where America shines...at least, after a fashion.

The "master of distraction" may find he's bitten off more than he can chew and will be forced to swallow a huge amount of (jim) crow.

The difference is about a person’s character and willingness to overcome that racism in order to get along and take the chance that maybe that person isn’t as they initially see them.

I used to observe that ploy on many the sitcom and most obviously on such shows as Lost In Space and Gilligan’s Island. There’s no doubt that he would prefer the NAACP go after everyone and put the rest of whitey on the defensive and who knows, Gates may be a willing dupe….allowing himself to be scrutinized in order to take heat off of Blammo..while simultaneously garnering publicity for his upcoming documentary.

Such things happen all the time in politics…though seldom on this subject…that of racism.

In the long run, I would hope that everyone at the table is wise to the ruse and simply gives it little attention and thus, continues the scrutiny of Obama’s failed policies and politics. That’s usually where America shines…at least, after a fashion.

The “master of distraction” may find he’s bitten off more than he can chew and will be forced to swallow a huge amount of (jim) crow.

The purpose of "African American Studies" is to prevent real integration of blacks into American society. Success of the civil rights movement saw blacks entering the middle class in numbers, and to the horror of the left, liking it. (Q.V.: Michelle Obama - 'avoiding middle-classness") By demanding segregation or integration as fits the political moment, "civil rights" leaders are assured a firm and reliable political base that will not question them in public. These bases are akin to Mao Ze Dong's "Liberated Zones" in Hunan and serve much the same purpose.
