Obama Demanded Bush’s AG Resign Back In 2007

From Breitbart:

2007: Obama Demanded Atty Gen Resign For Carrying Out ‘Political Vendettas’ Of Admin

May 23, 2013

On Larry King Live in 2007, presidential candidate Barack Obama attacked Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and called on him to resign for carrying out the President’s "political vendettas."

Lest we forget, this was because President Bush had asked for the resignation of seven US Attorneys General, back on December 7, 2006. And never mind that upon taking office, Bill Clinton had Janet Reno fire all 93 of the current US Attorneys General, back on March 24, 1993.

Oh, and never mind that the racist Senator Obama was calling for the resignation of our nation’s first Hispanic Attorney General, Alberto Gonzales.

Our transcription:

KING: The major issue at hand these days is Alberto Gonzales, the firing of the eight U.S. attorneys… What’s your read?

It was actually only seven.

OBAMA: Well, I voted against Alberto Gonzales’s confirmation for precisely the reason that we’re seeing now. My… and I said this on the floor of the Senate, that although he seemed to be a capable attorney, he seemed to conceive his role as being the president’s attorney instead of being the people’s attorney. And part of the role of the Attorney General is to say to the Executive branch: ‘Here are the limits of your power. Here are the things that you can’t so.’ I don’t think Alberto Gonzales ever told the president that there was something he could not do.

Meanwhile, has Eric Holder ever stopped Obama from doing anything? Such as giving backdoor amnesty through his executive orders?

And so as a consequence, when the White House decides that a U.S. attorney is not carrying out the political vendettas of the White House… then there are some questions as to whether Gonzales was encouraged to fire these individuals.

You’ve got a situation in terms of the FBI where the procedures used for issuing national security letters seemed to have been completely sloppy and based on erroneous fact, there doesn’t seem to be any oversight there.

And never mind that Eric Holder signed off on the request for a search warrant for James Rosen that claimed Rosen was a co-conspirator in a crime. Which is completely untrue.

What you get a sense of is an Attorney General who saw himself as enabler of the Administration as opposed to somebody who was actually trying to look out for the American people’s interests. And for that reason I think it’s time for him to step down and for another Attorney General who can exercise some independence to be put for the remainder of this president’s term.

Testify!

I’m going to hold my breath until somebody from a major news network confronts nerobama with his own words and asks him if Eric WithHolder should be fired under the standard laid out in nerobama’s interview above.

    Really…I’m going to do it.

    See, I just took a big breath…I’m holding it…

Now that Mr. Bill has expired from holding his breath, let me jump in and ask, Major News is something about the kardasians or Miley Cyrus or which star showed more skin at some gala event isn’t it? Oops, forgot the hubbub about the judges on, is it American Idol or America Got Talent? Just wish it was, America wake the________ UP!
