This o-blah-blah dude can be downright darn depressing; but ya know what .. I’m seeing a lot of ‘good’ comin’ out of it. Look how good & honest Americans are coming alive and engaging in maybe some ‘fixes’ .. some action.

Sadly .. maybe we all got a little more complacent than we should’ve; but look at the energy that is truly being re-ignited. Let’s keep it alive! .. and grow it! Keep connecting with like minded people .. go to the tea parties .. share ideas .. and stay informed .. stay connected.

It’s terrific that Steve got the (well deserved) recognition he did at CPAC. I’m guessing we’ll be seein’ some more and newer faces because of that.

And look at what’s happening here in this very thread. People coming together helping and encouraging each other. We really are blessed. And besides .. we got SJ and his tater stick! Does it get any better?!?!?!?

We got some work to do. But we’re not alone; and we’re moving in good directions. A gracious and loving God is really on the job .. so I’m thinkin’ that we just gotta keep doing our part the best we can. We can overcome.

God Bless us, all .. God Bless America!!! … and SJ … I’d be honored and happy to go with ya’ on that tater stick trip! … the Helen Thomas party woud be fun, too! Would we have to wear coat and tie?!?!?!? lol BTW .. s’pose we could stop by Franken’s office and say hi???

dulcigirl/well at least one thing good about the Catholic faith, is that suicide is a big no no, and try to think of this. You don’t know what might come around the corner. But, you have a child. And if you kill yourself, this can scar you child, and he can develope depression. It’s a fact, that many who commit suicide leads to their children commiting sucide. And your child will probably be really angry at you. Depression can be so overbearing at the time, that the present moment in this deep state of mind, you can not see your life, or the pain, getting better. So, you must make lemonaid from these feelings. Be aware and encourage others. And since the world sucks so bad, and danger is bad, why not let things take their course. Why not try to the end. Focus on something that you want to live for. Your child. Think of future grandchildren that will really need you too. Write a list of 100 things you’d like to do before you die. Think of things that make you happy, and try to do them. Your purpose might not be to have riches and fun, but you have to live life that you must endure. Think a year from now, your life could be totally different.
P.S. try and read Psalms in the bible. Look til you find one that understands you. David was very depressed when he wrote them. The end in victory.

I had an enjoyable evening with my son and his school band. Hanging around with a bunch of teen age band geeks cheers me up in ways that can’t be described. There is hope for the world after all.

Thanks Barbie. What you said makes a lot of sense. I was listening to Dennis Miller on the car radio the other night, and someone was complaining about the jerks in Washington, and how he felt so powerless about the situation. Dennis said something like “don’t let Nancy Pelosi take your power. You still have your life and your family and whatever talents and skills you have. Neither she nor anyone else can ever take that away unless you let them.” It wasn’t exactly those words, but it really made me think. I don’t want to go on and on about it, but I think for me at least, these past few months have been transforming. It was kind of like after I had my first kid; everything looks different to me now. We are seeing a seachange in the world, and we all need to hang on for dear life. You all are helping me more than I can say. I hope I can do the same for you.

And yes, I am a person of faith (Catholic). That helps too.

dear dulcimergrl, I hope you don’t mind my jumping in on this post, but of course, I can relate to your suicidal comment. My sisters and I discuss the ‘political scene’ quite often. I tell them I had to cut back on alot of it because it was driving me crazy and making me way too depressed. And I do mean WAY too depressed. Remember, life can be good regardless of what Odumbo does, we can still be happy with our lives and our family and, if you’re a person of faith, you can be happy with God in your life; Odumbo can try, but he can’t take Him away. Besides, I’m gonna stick around to make some liberal miserable (HAH), if in no other way than to post here. I hope you do not mind but I, like the others, hope you take your medicine again. However, I have to admit I like Sheehanjihad’s comment about beating a liberal with a tater stick. HAH we can all use a laugh. And, SJ, Gibbs is indeed a punk bitch.

It’s astonishing, the speed he is working. He’s slashing and burning way to fast to know what he is destroying.

Well, yes he knows, but any legitimate prez would at least want to sort out the bad from the good. And that takes time.

Not to mention the size of his bills and pushing so fast that no one could begin to read them.

Sort of tipping his hand to exactly what you said about why he needs to proceed so quickly. He knows well he will be found out and wants to get as much done as possible before he has to fight impeachment.

(BTW, Is it too early to say “IMPEACH THE BUM! ?)

You know, I’ve been thinking about the elder bush and his “read my lips, no new taxes”, and then he was led by the libs to place new taxes on us. They quickly turned on him and said “see how he lied”.

I get the feeling that W was done the same way with the stimulus bill he passed. I’m wondering how much of that was the libs suckering him into doing it as well.

This must be Obalmy’s version of “shock and awe”.

When I was about 8 years old, one night my Ma and Dad had a late-night show on. There was a guest who, for some reason, sang “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands.” I did not know anything of Jesus or God back then, but the song must have spoken to me, ‘cuz I danced through the house, singing it. Years went by, and I always had a fear of a communistic-type government. Then Clinton was campaigning and my fears seemed to be coming true. One AM I called a radio station and said, ‘It doesn’t seem to matter what the guy has done, people don’t care.’ It was early AM. Sometimes, before stations power down from nighttime power, you can hear stations from hundreds of miles away. A guy called up and said that while I was talking, he could hear ‘bleed-through’ from another radio station coming through. The song he heard them play: “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands!” This was special!

I am with pro on this one. As depressed as I get over all this stuff, I know that there are enough of us sane Americans left we can fight all this. This country has been thru a whole lot and this is just one more thing to conquer. We’ll do it.

I think S & L is what keeps me sane sometimes.

Sometimes I take a day or so break from the news,regroup and come back. Right after the election I had to completely pull back. I knew what was coming. But when he took office I was back and ready to get back in the fray.

Besides…its either let off steam here or burst! LOL.

If you ever want someone to talk to, Steve has my permission to give you my email address. Sometimes it’s good to be able to dump on a “like minded” person! Besides, we are like a family here.

He wouldn’t be moving so rapidly if he weren’t cognizant that he is only a minority president (36 percent, plus voter fraud and illegals) and that real Americans would rebel against him.

Of course, an alternate explanation is that he’s fearful that one of the lawsuits against him will stick, he’ll be compelled to release his records (although with appeals, stays and continuances, such compliance wouldn’t happen until 2099), and he’d be found to be completely ineligible to be president, so he figures he’d better move fast in order to get his communist plans implemented.

Yeah.

Like the ‘rats would ever turn on one of their own hardcore Marxists. And don’t bet that we’ll have free elections in 2010. They’ll pull something, and elections will be a thing of the past, as will our military.

Thank you, my and pro, for your thoughts. I understand how SSRIs work, having been on them for probably 7 or 8 years. It is evident that I can’t do without them, and like you, my, it’s a subtle thing. They never worked like “happy pills”, just took the edge off without my really noticing. But if I’m slipping into suicidal thoughts, it’s past time to get back on them.
