Yeah…And my husband and I won’t forget my father – in – law laying there starving to death (NHS refused him nourshment) because he had the audacity (you seem to like that word) to live to be 85 and have a TREATABLE stroke after the Brit Health service refused to treat him for TIAs!!!! Inconsiderate old guy took six weeks to die from starvation! That’s murder in my eyes!

At least your mother knew she would be treated regardless of her health insurance status.

No harm, Obama was telling his empathy at recent town-hall meeting, although he has a doctor and ambulance follow him everwhere he goes, it might not always be that way. Just a kleenix needed to get the bird poop off his head.

Obama recent statement: my grandmother was dying from a terminal illness, and broke her hip 6 months before she died. We had to decide if it was worth fixing since she only had 6 monthes to live.
again doesn’t tell the end of story. Something tells me she laid in pain in a bed for 6 monthes, after all he loved his reverand more than his “typical white grandmother”

The first one was priceless. As I watch it I couldn’t help thinking, would you talk to your bosses like that? naw…you’d get fired.

I also noted that when he was making the point on how many constiuents he had in his district, the crowd all chimed in that it was them too! (assume they were the anti HC bill folks)

When he said something pro HC bill that a few liked they applauded…kind of weak wasn’t it. How many do you think backed him…10? maybe 15? The room looked pretty full and when he said something the rest of the crown took exception too, they were threatened by the underlings that the meeting would end.

As to the meeting in the latter part of the month…wanna bet it gets canceled? I can see a bad case of sniffles for the dear rep!

After taking a good look at it, what I see is a document that is at least double spaced, with about 25 printed lines to a page and each line taking up only about 50% of the space on that line.

Squeeze it down to the average size page I can’t see that thing being more than 200 to 300 pages long. Bet they don’t let a 300 page novel throw them.

Please explain why these so called public servants can’t be expected to do the job we hired them for and read the damn thing?

Now that they have an entire month at home, that removes any and all excuses for not reading the thing. Not that they would break rank and actually disagree with the “ONE” anyway.

Seems they are only thinking of how to stay relevant enough to secure all those juicy committee posts.

Well, if most of Americans are where I believe we are…they don’t have to worry about that for more than about a year now….Come November 2010….we have some pink slips for the lot of you….Even and especially any of the cowardly Republicans who can’t garner up enough gonads to do the right thing!

Meanwhile the doctor in the follow-up interview with the tv station states he has called the Congressman on several occassions to talk about the issue, but to no avail so he decided to show up at the meeting to talk about it (you have to wait a few seconds before the video screen truncates then push play):
