Rusty – Here in North Carolina it is just as easy to impress agenda’s upon the proletariat. Here in the “Triangle,” Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, there is supposedly the highest concentrations of Ph.D.s in the country. And these people are usually a bunch of lefties. You see reading at the 8th grade and being “educated” are really no different for I have come to learn those who consider themselves to be “educated” are really only people who are good at listening, then parroting back what has been told to them. Sadly, independent thinking is not taught in school anymore.

Here in South Carolina, where the average academic achievement level is the 8th grade, it’s easy to impress upon “the people” that the drought of 2004 was the result of SUV’s as well as the current excess of rain is also the result of SUV’s.

I also enjoy the fact that they trump evening TV programming so they can put up the radar of their “severe weather alerts” instead of “King Of The Hill” in order to warn me that I might get wet if I go outside due to excessive SUV-induced “climate change”.

C’mon folks. You bitch when the drought kills the crops….then you bitch cuz it’s raining…..and by golly that might be a tornado-causing weather system because Algore sez so.

I mean…when you were a kid and doppler radar on the TV didn’t as yet exist ….What did you do then?

I read Red Hot Lies, which I got from the Conservative Book Club. It’s a quick read, and written very well; the author gives endless examples of hoaxes and unprofessionalism surrounding the eco-crisis industry. I would recommend the book — and the Book Club, too, which has been my saving grace for quite a while. My favorite day of the month is when my box full of conservative books comes in. (Right now I’m getting through Sowell’s Black Rednecks and Stephen Slivinski’s Buck Wild.)

The document, a climate status report required periodically by Congress, was a collaboration by about three dozen academic, government and institute scientists. It contains no new research, but it paints a fuller and darker picture of global warming in the United States than previous studies.

So people with an agenda presented their case in such a way in order to persuade others of the aforementioned agenda? Shocking. I am not sure anybody who promotes this stuff ACTUALLY believes it… but it’s certainly imperative that they convince “us” it’s true … that’s how they do “terror” in the West… not with bombs, but with “news”

If Obama really believed in this stuff enough to do what’s politically painful, yet completely logical, he’d immediately halt any and all funding going to New Orleans for Katrina rebuilding efforts. The map clearly shows that the Big Easy will be competing with The Lost City of Atlantis for the Underwater Tourist dollar within a lifetime. So why are we putting ANY money into it? It would be cheaper to write checks to everyone living there for $100k and tell ‘em to get the hell out.

Let me see if have this straight? We are in the midst of man-made global warming, except that there hasn’t really been any warming for about 10 years now. But that’s to be expected as part of global warming, we’re told. So, when it’s warm it’s because of global warming and when it’s cool it’s because of global warming. Got it.
