Obama Knew About Syrian Poison Gas For Weeks

From a very sympathetic Associated Press:

US options limited on Syria despite weapons report

By DONNA CASSATA and BRADLEY KLAPPER | April 26, 2013

WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House disclosure that the Syrian government has twice used chemical weapons still leaves the Obama administration stuck with a limited choice of military options to help the rebels oust President Bashar Assad.

Arming the rebels runs smack into the reality that a military group fighting alongside them has pledged allegiance to al-Qaida.

That didn’t stop Obama from aiding the Libyan rebels, who were almost all allies of Al Qaeda. And who later rewarded our kindness with their attack on Benghazi.

Establishing a no-fly zone poses a significant challenge as Syria possesses an air defense system far more robust than what the U.S. and its allies overwhelmed in Libya two years ago.

Thanks to our good friends, the Russians. Who demand we give up our defense systems.

President Barack Obama had declared that the Assad regime’s use of chemical weapons in the two-year civil war would be "game changer" that would cross a "red line" for a major military response, but the White House made clear Thursday that even a quick strike wasn’t imminent…

Mr. Assad is not a US ally. So Obama has no real interest in overthrowing him.

Reflecting a strong degree of caution, the White House said the intelligence community assessed "with varying degrees of confidence" that the Syrian regime had used chemical weapons on a small scale. The White House said in a letter to two senators that the "chain of custody" was unclear and that the determination was based on physiological samples…

Hilarious. They only ‘crossed the red line’ a little. Would this would Obama’s response to a ‘limited’ nuclear attack, too?

The information had been known to the administration and some members of Congress for weeks despite public pronouncements from the White House

Isn’t that funny. Especially, since they have been specifically asked by the news media about the use of poison gas and denied they knew anything.

But the AP buries this revelation. And they only mention it in passing. We suppose the AP is so used to this White House blatantly lying to the press, it doesn’t faze them anymore. But if Mr. Bush were President, would the media be so forgiving about having been lied to?

By the way, lest we forget, the only other country to use Sarin gas in the history of the world has been Iraq, which used it on Iran during their war in the 1980s.

You may recall that some crazy conspiracy theorists even wondered if the convoys of trucks photographed going from Iraq to Syria, before and during the US invasion, might have been carrying Iraq’s chemical weapons program to Syria.

But none of the media’s reports about Syria’s Sarin gas program ever mention that. Why is that?

“NONE” except for the fact of offering up Americas soft underbelly to our enemies.

Let the Arab nations handle the issues with Syria. We’re broke, and we don’t need to sacrifice our military for people who despise us.

I recall when that rumor was spread, but was decided they had not been used. I’ve been following Israel news over this, since we can’t trust the U.S.

Obama stuck his foot in his mouth for siding with Syrian rebels and Al-Qaeda. I just kind of see Russia’s and Assad’s point to include Israel’s concern that Al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood will take over Syria. Syria rebels have been happy to have Al-Qaeda’s aid, but days ago, announced they would not allow Al-Qaeda to assist them anymore, since that has been the key problem in doing anything about Syria.

I’d like to hear more of reports when their Syria’s offense began that the chemicals were moved there from Iraq by Saddam Hussein and Assad. The media sure didn’t want to pursue that.

Obama had already mentioned the red-line being crossed before the previous incident happened and Israel was warning the U.S. not to believe it was necessarily Assad who used the chemicals.
Obama warned that they not even be moved, but way before this when radical rebels closed in taking over where the chemicals were kept, Assad moved them, and there was the question to punish Assad for moving them as to whether it was to use them or keep them out of the rebels who were taking over that town where they were kept. Nothing was done, when they were moved, and Assad did not use them.

Obama is under pressure and just chomping at the bit to get involved in Syria, since for instance Romney said he’d waited to late, and all his Arab Spring is backfiring, which does not bother Obama one bit. Hillary has consistently lied about all the non-lethal help from the US when in fact we’ve been delivering drones and bombs for months and months and set up camp in Turkey under the rough Turkey is America’s friend, when Turkey has never been America’s friend and
have been attacking American citizens and the U.S. Embassy lost in the Boston bomber’s news.

So, I will trust do we trust Israel over anything Obama or the UN says?

REUTERS: ‘Evidence’ of Syrian WMDs use not up to UN standards

    04/26/2013 17:10

AMSTERDAM – Assertions of chemical weapon use in Syria by Western and Israeli officials citing photos, sporadic shelling and traces of toxins do not meet the standard of proof needed for a UN team of experts waiting to gather their own field evidence.

The White House and Western diplomats at the UN said they believe Syria had “probably” fired chemical munitions, but failed to name the chemical in question.

REUTERS: White House: Evidence Syria used chemical arms not airtight

WASHINGTON – The White House said on Friday it continues to study evidence that the Syrian government has used chemical weapons and would not set a timetable for corroborating reports.

“I’m not going to set a timeline, because the facts need to be what drives this investigation, not a deadline,” White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters at a briefing.

It’s a double edged sword. Even the news differs on Mali Africa that they’ve moved Al-Qaeda out and that more Al-Qaeda keeps moving in.

But, until this world stops it’s political correctness and acknowledges if not from religion, but from genes or a violent bloody abusive environment Muslims have practiced for centuries, they are a great threat to the world practicing their religion to take over the world.

Islam beliefs are exactly that of Hitler’s.
