Obama Pushes Amnesty At July 4th Citizenship Swear-In

From an irony proof Associated Press:

Obama: Don’t Make It ‘Harder for the Best and the Brightest to Come Here’

July 4, 2014

WASHINGTON (AP) — Celebrating the ethnic diversity of America, President Barack Obama said more than two dozen foreign-born service members who became U.S. citizens at a White House ceremony on the Fourth of July are vivid reminders that the country is, and always has been, a nation of immigrants.

As is every nation on earth. But the legal immigrants who took the time and trouble to enter our country legally, and who then took the time and trouble to become citizens, certainly are vivid reminders that it is incredibly unfair to grant amnesty to illegal aliens who have done none of that.

He said the vast range of backgrounds and experiences that made America a melting pot for more than 200 years also makes it stronger, but that the immigration system has to be retooled for the U.S. to keep its place as the greatest nation on earth.

Obama doesn’t believe we are the greatest nation on earth. But, even so, the US currently has the most generous legal immigration system in the world. Every year we admit more than 700,000 legal immigrants, which is more than the entire population of the city of Boston. And it is almost more immigration that the rest of the nations of the world combined.

"If we want to keep attracting the best and the brightest from beyond our shores, we’re going to have to fix our immigration system, which is broken… We shouldn’t be making it harder for the best and the brightest to come here, create jobs here, grow our economy here. We should make it easier." …

Are the illegals currently swarming over the border really the best and brightest? And even if they are, how would we know it? Is there a “best and brightest” test they administer at the border? Besides, when did liberals start supporting the idea of a nation built on meritocracy?

Obama announced earlier this week that, as a result of inaction on Capitol Hill, he will pursue non-legislative ways that he can adjust U.S. immigration policy without waiting for Congress to send him a bill.

"I’m going to keep doing everything I can to make our immigration system smarter and more efficient," Obama said.

Yes, just look at how much smarter and more efficient our immigration system has become under Obama.

Thanks to his executive orders and other illegal actions, we now have an open border. And it doesn’t get any more efficient than that.

    The pResident is a tyrant.

But what’s really stunning is that he’s a very “unconventional” tyrant though a tyrant nonetheless.

In the past, in nations of questionable repute, their own tyrants administered violence, edicts and constraints with the notion of bettering their own nations, warped though their actions may have been. They all, at least, had some form of patriotic slant to their obscene actions.

But president Angrychild hates this nation. This is what makes him different than any other tyrant that’s every walked the face of the earth. And, there’s probably a good helping of self-loathing in there as well.

For self-loathers are replete in their ability to tell others how to “do it better” or what “the right thing to do” is and danged if this dork hasn’t done that since day one of holding office.

But he has set forth into motion historical things that presidents normally don’t do, except with the possibly misbegotten notion that it will somehow help the nation. A good example is the national 55mph speed limit that produced no fuel savings whatsoever and also resulted in making highway driving feel like an exercise in futility by losing ground against the clock for those of us who understand that 60mph is one mile a minute. Going slower is tantamount to making the clock run faster and the whole “keeping up with daylight” a lost cause.

But I can only surmise that obama’s actions and attitude are equivalent to a petulant child having a tantrum. Whatever he sees that has something nice about it, he wants to destroy or disfigure it somehow to make it ugly. It may be he’s employing the Cloward-Piven stratagem to result in enough chaos in the nation so that, by the time he leaves office, he can smugly climb into his limo, and smirk as he rides by all the destruction he’s caused.

That’s the signature of a true misanthrope. It doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have friends but friends, to a misanthrope, is something entirely different to them than it is to the average human being.

He requires lackeys, sycophants and constant reinforcement that he’s better than anyone else. However, such people as he eventually and always, run out of butt-kissers because they eventually discover there’s nothing in it for them.

Such dysfunctionality is not uncommon anywhere but for the first time, we’re seeing it in the highest office in the free world. It’s sickening and has also proven to be very dangerous.

“Criminal alien” is more accurate. Calling these people “undocumented immigrants” is like describing a home invader as a “surprise houseguest.”

    • Petronius says:

Liberals believe that if you call a thing something else, it will become something else. And it often works. It’s like magic.

Thus: illegal aliens = dreamers = U.S. citizens = Democrat voters.

      See? Magic.

Political Thesaurus –– a guide to understanding Nerobama’s Fourth of July remarks and the Progressive mythology underlying his remarks:

“the country is, and always has been, a nation of immigrants” = a tired, old Progressive slogan which has the unmitigated audacity to overlook the first 200 years of America’s history as a British colony.

“melting pot” = another Progressive myth and euphemism for the dispossession, race replacement, and genocide of white Americans.

“immigration system has to be retooled” = but only because Nerobama has wrecked it.

“attracting the best and the brightest” = (1) a euphemism to describe unskilled, uneducable, and diseased foreigners from primitive tribal villages who are illiterate in their own languages and undocumented in their own homelands; and (2) implies that, by comparison, those already here are somehow inadequate in the best-and-brightest department (and, judging from the results of the last two presidential elections, he may very well be right about that).

“have to fix our immigration system” = amnesty, which is neither a fix nor a system.

“which is broken” = broken because Nerobama broke it by dismantling the Border Patrol and throwing the borders wide open.

“create jobs here” = adding foreigners to the ranks of the unemployed.

“grow our economy” = bankrupt the Treasury and taxpayers by more welfare spending on foreigners.

“make our immigration system smarter and more efficient” = destroying the immigration system established by law and the country’s economic, social, and political infrastructure.
