However, there is no doubting that the Soviets cheated in both SALT and the ABM treaties.

Reagan withdrew the US from SALT in 1986, because of Soviet cheating.

And the Russians themselves eventually admitted that Krasnoyarsk violated the ABM treaty.

I do not use the word “stupid” to describe mental defect. I use it to describe incompetence.

In my previous comment, I use it pointedly to insult the useless boobs who voted for Obama and that raging incompetent of an affirmative action hire, Mr. Obama himself.

Mr. Obama has poorly handled the economy, Gitmo, North Korea, Honduras, China and Russia. He should have known his choices were poor because history has told us so. And to repeat them is sheer incompetence–i.e. stupid.

I do not underestimate Mr. Obama. He is after power, and armed with those particularly wicked defects, he is dangerous. Very dangerous.

START and INF did work—but with very strict rules and processes (I was an arms control inspector under both treaties for five years). The Soviets/Russians didn’t cheat, because there was no room in the agreement to cheat. However, anything with Bill Ayers/Rev Wright’s man’s finger prints won’t cut the mustard. But, Confucius, while a great many people displayed a great deal less than what I’d call intelligence in putting a pleasing baritone in the White House, I wouldn’t call Obama stupid.

A whiner, certainly. Immature, most definitely. A brazen thug who hobnobs with the worst leaders humanity has to offer, absolutely. But not stupid.

You see, his track record as Teleprompter in Chief can only be explained by one of two things – maliciousness or incompetence. If he was merely stupid, the laws of statistics say that at least some of his actions should be to the benefit of the people he was elected to represent.

I think the past few months have shown we should not underestimate this man in his lust for power, his need for control or his avoidance of responsibility.

So, let’s see … at the end of Times, Russia is a key player in forming the great army that attempts to annihilate Israel and seal the city of Jerusalem and the Temple for the AntiChrist. Hard to see how we’re going to prevent any of that if we disarm and Russia goes right on building and distributing nukes.
