Obama Wants $500K To Fight Palin ‘Lies’

An email from Mr. Obama’s perpetual campaign site, Organizing for America and his uber stooge, Mitch Stewart:

Right now, Sarah Palin is on a highly publicized, nationwide book tour, attacking President Obama and his plan for health reform at every turn.

It’s dangerous. Remember, this is the person who coined the term "Death Panels" — and opened the flood gates for months of false attacks by special interests and partisan extremists.

Whatever lie comes next will be widely covered by the media, then constantly echoed by right-wing attack groups and others who are trying to defeat reform.

As we approach the final sprint on health reform, we can’t afford more deception and delay. We need to be ready for anything — and have the resources to respond with ads, events, and calls to Congress when the attacks come.

So we’re setting a big goal: $500,000 in the next week to help push back against Sarah Palin and her allies. Please chip in $5 to help reach our goal.

Earlier this month, Palin publicly said that she hopes health reform will be "dead on arrival." And since then, she’s been working fiercely toward that goal.

On Tuesday, Palin went on Rush Limbaugh’s radio show where she outrageously — and falsely — suggested that Americans could "face jail time as punishment" if they don’t buy insurance.

Palin has many more interviews scheduled on Hannity and other conservative shows in the next few weeks, with more platforms to go after the President. As soon as she does, the rest of our opponents will likely parrot those attacks.

We need to be prepared. And we’re counting on you help. Can you chip in $5?

Director, Organizing for America

Has a President of the United States ever leant his name to fundraising against an individual? For writing a book?

It is another step down the totalitarian road.

Remember, this is the person who coined the term "Death Panels" …

And never mind that they can’t even get the most basic facts straight.

Will there ever be time for the “Jet Setter” to do the job he ran for?

  2. Rusty Shackleford says:

The difference is: Obama’s lies are certifiably and provable lies. Palin’s “lies” are truths. All you have to do is listen, look and turn off the emotion machine. That’s the mark of critical thinking.

The lackluster toadies of the DNC believe strongly in saying a thing is so makes it so. Not only is that grandiose thinking but it’s an affront to every thinking person in America. Slowly, they are catching on as they take just the smallest amount of time to examine things rather than take the MSM at face value. They are learning now that they cannot do that.

The the 500,000 will be for thugs traveling expenses to follow and spy on Palin, on her book tour.

Obamy has now topped Bill Clinton.

Bill taught us that “is” can mean anything he wants it to mean.

Now the Moron has taught us that “lie” has a new meaning.

Lie: something the Obamy, or the Obamy Cabal either disagrees with or which they believe damages their mission to acquire total power.

Ever notice that Republican’s claims about the socialist healthcare bill aren’t actually debunked by the left? Instead, the left attacks the people making the claims, often calling them names or making false claims of their own.

Poll after poll shows that the majority of the American people (who–surprisingly to myself–actually must be employed) are against the idea of “national healthcare”. Part of our defeat on this subject is that the Republican establishment (that’s the DC insiders who supported McCain for president) have allowed the democrats to frame the argument. It’s presented to the public that you either support heathcare “reform” or you’re a rich, evil supporter of the status quo.

This of course isn’t true. There are many things that conservatives would change about the current system, they just don’t want to completely hand such a major chunk of the economy over to the socialists in charge right now. Personally, I think they are in control of way too much as it is, and the results of that management show us clearly that they shouldn’t be trusted for anything else.

Note to Republicans in charge of policy representation like Micheal Steele: The GOP needs to start showing a backbone like Sarah Palin is showing. Forget what Katey Couric or Chris Matthews thinks or what they will say about you and start representing Constitution-loving patriots like we expect you to do! Get some nuts and go after these scoundrels like talk radio does and you’ll be surprised by the mass migration to your party. Once the majority speaks at the ballot box, we can start to change the way the media represents us to the public by sheer capitalism: If nobody is watching, they will have to make changes or disappear.

    I love a good type-rant.

  7. 12 Gauge Rage says:

I thought it was already in the bill that if you didn’t purchase the health care you would either be fined or face jail time. Is this true or is it just an internet myth? And if it is true why should Palin be vilified for speaking the truth?

    • Liberals Demise says:

I will use their very own words, 12GR.
      “Truth is not an option!”

    • beautyofreason says:

As for Palin, she will be vilified by the left for many reasons. Most attacks are personal and directed at her family, religion, appearance, intelligence, and sometimes gender (guess the left isn’t so tolerant). Very few criticisms deal with specific political issues. It is kind of like all of the anti-Bush liberals who called Bush a dumb cowboy or compared Cheney to Darth Vader – or more recently, leftist newscasters referring to the tea party protesters as “tea baggers.” What’s the point?

  8. Rip Cord says:

Let’s see, Barak, you have ABC, NBC, C-BS, CNBC, AP, MSNBC, HLN, CNN, USA TODAY, PBS, and did I leave anyone out? And you NEED more coverage for you Orwellian doublespeak? Please, cry me a river! ROFLMAO

  9. bronzeprofessor says:

Palin isn’t lying, but let’s pretend for a moment that she were lying. What difference would it make, since the Democrats have a filibuster proof majority and control the White House and at least 80% of the press and academia? Why do the liberals keep complaining about right-wing smears, unless the reality is that the Left doesn’t really have a plan and the only thing they do well is complain about us?

    • proreason says:

      Hey professor, welcome back.

      How’re things going for you?

    • bronzeprofessor says:

Hi pro, things are going great, actually. I love the Army, and am shipping out for active duty in less than 2 months. At my job I survived a full frontal assault from liberal colleagues — and I survived! I managed to hold a pro-defense conference on national security and got a measly group of 15 protesters, all of whom dissipated quickly. So I’m happy. Right now I am getting a nice extended leave and spending some time with my wife and daughter. :)

How are you? how have things been here?

    • proreason says:

Professor, great to hear the army is suiting you and that you will be getting some time to be with the missus and beautiful daughter.

Do you know your first assignment yet? We thought about you during the Ft Hood attack and shameful aftermath. God bless those heroes. Personally, I think that one is fully on the administration. The bad stuff about Hasan started coming out last December. I’m speculating higher ups in the admistration knew about him and said to let it lie. I can’t believe the agencies would ignore red flags waving that wildly.

Since you’ve been gone, Steve and S&L posters have driven the Moron’s numbers down more than 10%.

Now we are busy blocking the fascist takeover of American Health Care. And of course, we all love Sarah. She is really the only national political figure who doesn’t pussy-foot around the issues. You gotta love her.

My brainstorm for 2012 is TWO women. Sarah and either Michelle Bachman or Liz Cheney. Unbeatable!!

Good to know you’ve got our back covered.

Thanks for walking the streets at High Noon.

    • bronzeprofessor says:

Thanks for thinking of me after the Ft Hood incident. I was actually doing reserve duty at my unit when the news broke. We were gravely affected, for sure. Our top NCO asked us to observe a moment of silence and we flew the flag at half mast, but mostly my unit was dedicated to not letting the event throw us off course. We refused to get freaked out and were determined not to let all the accusations about the Army being “racist” get to us; we know we aren’t racist and won’t go hunting down Muslims for stupid reasons, so we ignored the race-baiting from the press. It bothered us, though.

The way it currently looks, I’ll be doing a bunch of intensive training through 2010, including OCS (I’m currently E-4 but being groomed for officer rank), jump school, and Transportation and/or Civil Affairs officers’ training. It seems my first assignment will involve building schools for girls in remote areas of Afghanistan, where i’ll probably have to be dropped in because the insurgent activity is so treacherous. I’m excited and have gotten my wife to a peaceful place about it all, since we are both aware that my assignment will be extremely high risk.

Building schools for girls is meaningful to me, because my Puerto Rican and Filipina grandmothers were both the first female generations to be taught reading and writing back in the 1920s, specifically because the US Army built schools for girls and broke with Spain’s policy of forbidding female literacy on a large scale. I have a photo of my Filipina grandmother in the eighth grade, with a bunch of other Filipina girls, and very pale American Christian missionary and Army officer at the center of the pic. Whatever the feelings people have about American “imperialism,” I am happy that by building girls’ schools in Central Asia I will bring my family’s history full circle, and it is an honorable endeavor. I have come to believe, anyway, that regimes/cultures that oppress females to disgusting extremes are usually the same ones that terrorize their neighbors, so women’s rights are an excellent focus for the US as it intervenes in Afghanistan.

I am glad that you all have been so diligent! Even with my whirlwind schedule I have been able to check in with S&L 3 or 4 times since the summer. You are making conservatives proud!

And I hope you all can fight for Sarah Palin, who is coming under such unfair attacks by the people around me. It is inspiring and disgusting all at once.

God bless America and all of you.

    Gotta love that Palin girl!

Every time she opens her mouth the bad guys bust a hemorrhage.

Don’t flame me too badly but I can’t help wondering … If this keeps up I suspect our Anne Coulter is going to get a wee mite jealous.

So…who wants to be the one to e-mail ol’ Mitch the article quoting Pelosi Galore about being jailed for not purchasing health insurance?

Or has that article already been erased from existence?
