I’m sorry, maybe this memo wasn’t released to the public because it would probably be a waste of time to release a whole lot of memos to the public, but what is the big secret here, anyway? Everybody knows that Bush and everybody with a brain believed that the powers of the president to conduct a war allowed for the search and seizure as well as wiretapping of terror suspects without a warrant. That’s what the last 7 volumes of the New York Times have been about. So why is this a revelation at all? What’s next, a secret Bush memo saying that terror suspects could be held as unlawful enemy combatants at a U.S. Military installation not in sovereign U.S. territory without a trial indefinitely?

Pelosi should be tried for treason after that stint of running off to the Middle East when she was first crowned high queen in 2006 without the president’s consent. Well, among many other things. And then Obama needs to be impeached. There seems to be no bottom to this man’s low. What is so frightening is how methodical this whole thing is and, not to quote Michelle, but “mean” and driven this is. This man is a complete mission of complete and total annihilation of this country. And for what?

oOllah’s Obama’s complaints might also be a smoke screen, so Americans think he is for American’s rights, while on the other hand he seems to be wanting to force Americans to be dependent on the the government, like the Soviet Union was.
On the bright side, this will help me deal with some tree hugging liberals who believe Bush caused 9/11. I just can’t see Obama stopping attacks. Most of the security are focusing on protecting ollah Obama who seems to like to eat out alot, and go to parties.

To Mr. Right of the People- the biggest problem is that the elected majority see our constitutional rights as tradable rather than sacred. From where I sit I initally missed the economic factor but have long held that first we would surrender Iraq (seems Gitmo was first..), then we will surrender Afganistan and combined with 9/11 the hardline muslims would then have at least three major victories against the US with which to use as recruitment tools. I have said for at least 20 months buy ammo (something common), buy seed, and have some good ground with water and be ready….as our weakness broadens our enemies will come…..Treason is afoot,God help us all!

I think this is crap he released this stuff but…..

I have always thought the Patriot Act went too far. I never thought it to be constitutional to allow the president to declare a terrorist and imprison him without charges. People may have felt it was ok when Bush is in power because he seemed “trust worthy.” However this could be used to create dictatorships. This is where I am more libertarian than republican.

I’m with Rush – I hope Obama fails.

There I said it – take a look at history people we can take Germany pre WWII and see the economic disaster that allowed the rise of Hitler so quickly – look where that lead to.

Fast forward to the 60s and we have a National figure (Walter Cronkite) declare the War is lost – sound familiar. Then we withdrew. And after that Congress cut our promised financial aid to South Vietnam – and the killing fields bled dry. So now, let’s see Senator H. Reid declared the War lost, The One ™ has announced withdrawl – bet the cuts of funding to Iraq isn’t far behind (probably hidden in the Generational Theft Act of 2009).

How sad it is that these dangerous, out-of-control thugs call themselves progressives – there is nothing progressive, postive or moving forward on any issue, policy or legislation that they promote – it is a step backward in history. And we know how it turns out – We Read the Book!
