Obama Resorts To A Soros Funded Smear

From a cheering New York Times:

Obama Ratchets Up Tone Against G.O.P.

October 10, 2010

PHILADELPHIA — With his party facing losses in next month’s election, President Obama pressed his argument Sunday that the opposition is trying to steal the election with secret special-interest money, possibly including money from foreign companies.

In a speech to a large rally here and in a new television advertisement, Mr. Obama and the Democrats escalated their efforts to present the Republicans as captive to moneyed interests…

“You can’t let it happen,” Mr. Obama told thousands of supporters gathered at a school park in a predominantly African-American, working-class neighborhood in northern Philadelphia. “Don’t let them hijack your agenda. The American people deserve to know who’s trying to sway their elections, and you can’t stand by and let the special interests drown out the voices of the American people.”

So sayeth a man who taught ACORN how to steal elections.

Mr. Obama has increasingly turned to the issue of campaign finance to motivate his supporters as the elections grow nearer and the polls remain bad for Democrats. With his party outmatched in advertising sponsored by groups that do not have to disclose their donors under a Supreme Court decision issued earlier this year, Mr. Obama has suggested that the sponsors of campaign advertising have sinister motivations.

Of course it is a laugh to talk about the Democrats ever being "outmatched" in advertising. The Democrat Party has outspent the GOP by a wide margin in every election since at least 2000.

But, naturally, the money the DNC gets from Mr. Soros and the unions and Allah knows where else is as pure as the ‘driven on’ snow.

“You don’t know,” he said here. “It could be the oil industry, it could be the insurance industry, it could even be foreign-owned corporations. You don’t know because they don’t have to disclose. Now that’s not just a threat to Democrats, that’s a threat to our democracy.”

Mind you, this is coming from a man who accepted donations to his Presidential campaign from Palestinians (Hamas) – and other foreigners, including his very own illegal alien, ‘Aunt Zeituni.’

But we will never know the details, since the Obama administration refused to track its foreign donations, even though they had the computer technology to easily do so.

Still, in saying it “could” be foreign corporations, Mr. Obama softened his language from last week after the original assertion was disputed, and was more equivocal than a new Democratic National Committee advertisement that asserts the involvement of overseas money more directly. The advertisement attacks the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Karl Rove and Ed Gillespie, two former aides to President George W. Bush who have helped groups supporting Republican candidates.

The commercial calls Mr. Rove and Mr. Gillespie “Bush cronies” and says the chamber “shills for big business,” then shows a woman having her purse stolen by a mugger in a parking garage. “They’re stealing our democracy, spending millions from secret donors to elect Republicans to do their bidding in Congress,” the narrator intones. “It appears they’ve even taken secret foreign money to influence our elections.”

That’s the Democrat Party, honest as the day is long.

The Democrats have offered no evidence that the chamber is using foreign money to influence the elections. The chamber has overseas affiliates that pay dues to the main organization but says it has a process to segregate those funds from any used for electioneering.

“The D.N.C. is going to exhaust itself trying so hard to change the political conversation,” Thomas J. Collamore, the chamber’s senior vice president of communications and strategy, said in a statement. “Its ad attacking the U.S. Chamber is a blatant attempt to avoid a serious discussion of Americans’ top priority — creating jobs and growing the economy. The ad is ridiculous and false.”

David Axelrod, the president’s senior adviser, was asked Sunday by Bob Schieffer on “Face the Nation” on CBS if he had any evidence that the chamber was using secret foreign funds to influence the election.

“Well, do you have any evidence that it’s not, Bob?” Mr. Axelrod replied. “The fact is that the chamber has asserted that, but they won’t release any information about where their campaign money is coming from. And that’s at the core of the problem here.”

By the same token is there any evidence that Mr. Axelrod is not a pederast and a secret Hitler fan? Just look at that mustache.

Still, imagine saying something so mendacious that even Bob Schieffer chokes on it.

The Democratic committee’s spokesman, Hari Sevugan, likewise offered no evidence and suggested it was up to the chamber to disprove the assertions. “Serious questions have been raised,” he said in an e-mail. “If they want to clear this up, they can open up their books.”

Well, we assert that Mexican drug cartels fund the Democrat Party. So let’s see the books. Let’s have the FBI investigate immediately.

Meanwhile, the New York Times neglects to mention that this entire allegation is the brainchild of the radical left George Soros-funded blog, Think Progress. Back on October 5th, the Soros stooges alleged that the US Chamber paid for pro-Republican political advertising from the same general 501(c)(6) account where its donations from foreign businesses and foreign governments are received.

But even above and in an earlier article on the subject The Times has had to grudgingly admit that the blog had "provided no evidence that the money generated overseas had been used in United States campaigns."

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has responded, via the Washington Post, by noting that "AmChams [foreign chapters of the Chamber that raise money from foreign corporations and send dues to the Chamber’s American headquarters] are independent organizations, created to represent American companies in overseas markets, and they do not fund U.S. Chamber political programs. Collectively, AmChams pay nominal dues to the Chamber — approximately $100,000 total across all 115 AmChams. Those dues fund our international programs and have nothing to do with our voter education programs."

And even if these ‘foreign dollars’ were somehow co-mingled, $100,000 is a laughably small drop in the bucket compared to the vast sums that the evil US Chamber of commerce has at its disposal. Just as the Chamber’s entire war chest is dwarfed by that of the unions.

By the way, isn’t BP a foreign company? Also, Johnny Chung, Charlie Tree say ‘hello.’

At this same event Obama went into a rant comparing our country to a car and telling people to vote for “D” to keep us moving forward instead of “R” to move us backward. He failed to mention the fact that he and the Dems have our country “car” parked facing the edge of a cliff…

  2. Mithrandir says:

They don’t want to disclose BECAUSE Obama and his thug buddies keep enemy lists.

Look what happened to Joe-the-Plummer? He got harassed and investigated.

Look what happened to churches who have money in California to oppose gay marriage? They got harassed by gay people.

    *Add more!

Obama can’t win in the arena of ideas so they have to whip up people into a fear frenzy, whatever it takes to control trillions of dollars of YOUR money, they will do it.

  3. Right of the People says:

So this is what our society has degraded too when someone can make ludicrous claims and statements then it is up to you to disprove them? If that’s how the game is going to be played then I’d like to claim that Barry is a cross-dressing, dope smoking pedophile who is infected with the HIV virus and wears silly hats. There, now he has to prove that he isn’t, that ought to keep him busy for awhile..

This whole thing is so damned silly. God I miss when the country was run by adults.

    • Adam Moreira says:

That would be easy – no criminal record, and a blood/hair test.

I wonder though if this can be construed as exceeding Presidential authority and thus not subject to immunity.

    • Mithrandir says:

I know! Can you believe what passes for ‘running our country’ these days? This is what we are paying for? –For people to act like Junior High School all over again, find petty, meaningless things to tease and squabble about?

It’s no wonder empires have fallen. The enemies at the gate were more rational than the nit-picking elites who were more than happy to rid themselves of the other……and the citizenry let the barbarians in.

One word and one word only – projection.

As I’ve said before – It would be funny if this wasn’t the (faux) Leader of the Greatest Nation in the World and our future wasn’t at stake. My only solace in this whole sordid Administration is that I do believe that ‘his’ masses have bought the DNC line that the President is the be all/end all and won’t bother coming out on Nov 2nd – since they can’t vote for President. And as I’ve got some ‘history’ as a Poll Worker – it is true that the majority of people who vote in the mid-terms are the elderly who take their right to vote seriously – and of course this year – the TEA Party has the rest of We The People ginned up.

So in my mind – unless Obama & Co use some of that stimulus money to fund a Vote Early/Vote Often bus Tour, I don’t see a big win for The Won – but I think he is salivating at the prospect of a Repub majority – he sees it as his ticket to a win in 2012. A lot can happen between now and Nov 2012. Most especially an even greater rise of the TEA Party (most especially if they win in Nov & are successful in the Congress).

ASTOUNDING AND UNBELIEVABLE as it may seem, even the NY Times and Bod Schieffer are laughing at White House/leftist claims about foreign money driving Chamber of Commerce advertising. You know it has to be REALLY pathetic and transparently phony when the principle organ of the left and a dedicated lib news reader attack their own party and people!!!

His life is a lie. Every word that comes out of his mouth is a lie. If he says it, it’s a lie. He doesn’t know how not to lie. He lies so much he can’t even remember whether today’s lie is a lie or not. He doesn’t believe truth is even possible. He doesn’t know whether his past lies about his life are lies or not. If he was somehow unable to lie any longer, he would die.

    • Rusty Shackleford says:

Interesting point, Pro. I think that perhaps the basis for his well-practiced lying comes from all the adults he observed as a child. Think about it and the type of people who he lived with and tell me they, themselves were not pathological, if not simply very well-practiced liars. A skill he learned well, apparently.

  8. untrainable says:

“suggested it was up to the chamber to disprove the assertions.” So much for innocent until proven guilty. Can someone make that same point to the Federal Reserve. I assert that the Fed is a criminal organization and is assisting in the destruction of the economy of this country. If they want to prove me wrong, just open up the books!

Dems are just ticked off because their message (BUSH’s FAULT, and things would be even worse if we hadn’t wasted 2 trillion dollars.) isn’t resonating with the people. Republicans shouldn’t have to spend much money on their campaigns this year anyway. Just show a nice slow pan of the Arizona desert with a voiceover that says “Do you want the rest of the country to look like the Arizona Desert? If so, Vote Democrat.” Or how about this. The same slow pan of the desert and the voiceover that says “Obamacare. Turning our country into a barren wasteland (dramatic pause) for you and your children”

    • proreason says:

Carville did a poll that shows that blaming Bush actually hurts the libwits. People are tired of juvenile tactics.

The “moving forward” meme also hurts the libwits. People would prefer to go back to the days before Obamy. Gee, why would that be?

But liberal life continues as it did in junior high school.

    • untrainable says:

Pro. The junior high reference brings to mind an old saying. If you’re a republican before you’re 20 you have no heart. If you’re a democrat after you’re 20, you have no brain.

Those old sayers sure know their stuff.

    Bwahaha, bow before Steve.

But yeah that’s what Soros does. Frames the Jews and accuses the Capitalists of everything he does.

This time they’re completely delusional. Everybody knows the tidal wave that’s coming is 100% genuinely American. It’s the most authenticly American political movement arguably since the original.

  10. Mae says:

“God I miss when the country was run by adults.” Indeed!

Going all religious on you, these lying children are going to end up in hell where they’ll be right at home having served their Master with each stinking bit of the spoiled rotten devotion they could muster.

Someone please kick the liar square between the legs to remind him that we are “NOT” a democracy.
We are a “REPUBLIC” for good reason!!

Get back to being an Arab houseboy and leave America alone!!

  12. Natural Born Citizen says:

General Petraeus was right, David Axelrod is a complete slimeball. The progressives are projecting all of there sins on their enemy. When Axlerod said I don’t know why the Chamber of Commerce just won’t release the documents I could not believe the audacity. (Where is the Long Form Birth Certificate and all of BHO’s personal documents?) And thats the key to their message. It is two part; to the uninformed they may believe the progressive spin that the Chamber of Commerce is illegally using foreign funds for the upcomming election. And that to the informed it is intended to make blood spurt out of your eyes. Keep the faith, contact your neighbors, vote early and lets send these vermin home permanetly.

    • wardmama4 says:

Not to mention that Obama promised to take public funding and then rejected it – managing somehow to turn off the little addy verify macro – so that no one knows exactly where the money was coming from but with the odd dollar & cents amount – probably translated into foreign exchanges. Where are those records?
And yes BP is a foreign company.

Obama does not know how to tell the truth – and I do believe that these fools think that having all 3 seats of government in their control – that they are invincible. I just can’t believe how quickly they are moving to self-destruct mode. Why we are almost to the election and they are simply projecting their own failures into accusations against the GOP.

Problem is that the stupid masses who will buy this crappola don’t vote in mid-terms – so what does it matter that they are spewing this drivel. What they also don’t grasp is that it may backfire horribly against them – rather than ginning up the Obamabots to get up off their dole kept asses – it will instead gin up We The People to Take Back America.

    *Gay issues
    *Past comments in life
*Losing the ‘progress’ Dems have made in 18 months
    *Scare tactics

People don’t care about anything but getting their country back……that’s what matters, and keeping these bozos in office won’t achieve that—-period!

  15. misanthropicus says:

Aside of Axel’s act that leaves Isuzu Joe way, way back in the dust, the idea of attacking the Republicans on this line is simply bizzare –
I mean, did Obama really want to remind everyone about his mystery Internet fundraising campaign?

I don’t think so, yet this brings in an even more serious issue here – do we have in the White House someone who is simply DEAF and BLIND to the American reality?
Is in the White House someone that simply HAS NO GRASP of what’s going on around?
Is in the White House someone THAT STUPID that he thinks that telling people that Republicans collect mystery money elsewhere, will electrify this nation and so they’ll vote for him this November, and in 2012?

Is this country CEO really an imbecile?

Rush, in one of his brilliant asides, suggested recently that the Moron may indeed think everything he does is mainstream……since he hasn’t known anybody in his life except people who share his views.

I would change the word ‘share’ to ‘taught’.

It explains a lot of things that otherwise are straight from Alice in Wonderland.
