U.S. Withdraws July 4th Invite to Iranian Diplomats

So much for “hot-dog diplomacy.” The White House announced today that it had withdrawn invitations to Iranian diplomats to attend Fourth of July festivities at U.S. embassies around the world.

The United States and Iran have not had diplomatic relations for nearly three decades, but Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton authorized the invitations as a way of reaching out to the Islamic Republic. But U.S. officials said no Iranian diplomats thus far had responded to the invitations.

“July Fourth allows us to celebrate the freedom and the liberty we enjoy,” White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said. “Freedom of speech. Freedom of religion. Freedom to assemble peacefully. Freedom of the press. So I don’t think it’s surprising that nobody’s signed up to come.”

Gibbs added: “Given the events of the past many days, those invitations will no longer be extended.”

During a news conference on Wednesday, President Obama had indicated the invitations were still being extended. Asked if the July 4th offer still stood, Obama responded: “That’s a choice the Iranians are going to have to make.”

Obama could sure use someone with a little foreign policy knowledge and experience. It is mind numbing to watch this administration’s incompetence.
A coup has taken place in Iran. Hardline factions of the mullahs have taken control in order to do what? Continue what they publicly state they want to do. Usher in the twelfth imam.
Obama would be wise to get advice from someone who knows what that means.
Yet, he does not want to “offend” the tender sensibilities of a hardline regime that is slaughtering its own people in the street.
He is afraid, yes afraid, that even speaking out against the brutal slaughter of protestors will upset those ordering the slaughter.
Obama might also get advice from someone who knows how things might change if Iran didn’t fund Hezbollah. What if Iran didn’t prop up Syria? Would the world change if Iran stopped cooperating with North Korea on nuclear weapons development?
Is Obama’s staff so utterly clueless as to think the Iranians will come to his July 4th parties while this is going on? Mr. President, the people you invited are busy planning the violent seizure of absolute power by killing anyone who voices opposition. They are not sitting around laughing with their press about implementing some lame central planning scheme to secure power by making people dependent on politicians for a necessity of life. No, they kill and torture (real torture, not a tortured definition of torture for political gain) their opposition. They laugh at you. You are weak.
Is the President aware that Hezbollah has operatives in Central and South America that are sponsored by Chavez?
Is the President aware that Ahmadinejad talks about striking the United States? If the protestors are successful, what does Obama think Ahmadinejad might do as a last gasp?
I’m sorry I ask these things. It simply appears we have no foreign policy at all. Perhaps we have no legitimate foreign interests, should be ashamed of our past, and need to spend more time apologizing. Or, perhaps, maybe we need to focus of crippling, once and for all, capitalism.
You know, American style Marxism really sucks.
Lying little effeminate narcissistic whiners spending all their time trying to manipulate others. Pathetic.

Can you imagine how much Obama hates the 4th of July, when he blames America’s Democracy for the rest of the worlds poverty and woes. How we stole from the Indians and Mexicans. Actually, the land he thinks was Mexican belonged to the Indians. Obama really is smitten with Ahhmadman #3 BBF.

It might be in the best interest of America, for Obama to allow Ahhmadman to come on our America’s birthday. Maybe it would make some American’s wake-up.
Obama has taken over all authority as far as local on up to federal law enforcement. The latest indication aside the border controllers (to thwart Bush’s bill and measure passed before he left) the most recent Homeland Security announcment of removing satellites, Look at the Statue of Liberty flight he joked publically about. Obama lied, because the President of the U.S. always knows where his Air Force 1’s are at. News reports were clear that law enforcement were not to warn the public. Law enforcement failed to tell the mayor.
Saudi Arabians were flying those planes into the buildings.

In Sept of 2001 Columnist Mahmoud Abd Al-Mun’im Murad, of the Egyptian-government sponsored daily Al-Akhbar, wrote “The Statue or Liberty in New York Harbor must be destroyed…”

So, maybe the Air Force 1 photo-shoot was just a Jones kool-aid run. Most apt a childish cruel Obama’s game. He laughed about it.

And I found another quote by him, about inspite of us giving all that money and help America gave to Indonesia after the tusmanie won’t make Indonesia like America. disastor to his beloved Indonesia (which he is working on a trip to go to, this time taking his girls) that even our helping with their tsunami, won’t erease decades of trust against America. Obama’s mother hated America but finally worked for Americans in Indonesia to get more money. His step-father worked for American oil company and they lived higher. Step-father was mean to servants. His father, and grandfather were mean prospered more working for the white man and his grandfather beat the blacks for the whites.

Obama can call is mother an atheist, but no one in Indonesia was unregistered, and none would list themselves as atheist or they’d be purged.
So, Obama knows these muslim terrorists are incurable. They will spread and fight to the death. He lived with them. He chose them in America to live with. He chose to be with Jew haters. Obama has always chose to be with his peers. Now he has a chance to be in the circle with his peers most powerful leaders in the world.

Yeah, well Obama’s moral compass is starting to rub him the wrong way so he’s no longer sure whether or not to rescind the invitations.

Only dictators who kill fewer than 1000 people in the span of a week are invited to participate in July 4 festivities. And only if they torture / kill journalists and students in private political prisons, instead of in public. And if they don’t leak videos of hangings and stonings.

(just going by the Iranian record before the election, which apparently made Iran acceptable July 4 guests…)

Sometimes I’m waiting for Obama to look right into the camera and say, “I’M SOOOO CONFUSED!!!” I’m wondering if he can make a decision on his own in the best interest of this nation, even a “no brainer” like this one.

A positive out of this, shows this president is beginning to wear on people, in the wrong way. I think the GLOW is starting to fade and folks are looking at him like a human being, like they should have been from the outset of his campaign. All one has to do is listen to an unscripted press conference without his teleprompter and the man sounds like a complete dolt. I thought GW was bad on the fly, but he has nothing on Obama.
