Obama Rewards Egypt And Libya With More Aid

Clinton reassures Egypt’s Mursi on U.S. assistance

By Andrew Quinn | Tuesday Sept 25, 2012

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Secretary of State Hillary Clinton reassured Egypt’s new Islamist president on Monday that the United States would forge ahead with plans to expand economic assistance despite anti-American protests that cast new shadows over U.S. engagement with the region.

Thank Allah Egypt will allow us to give them another billion dollars! We thought they might not like us anymore.

Clinton met Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi in New York, where both are attending this week’s U.N. General Assembly meeting, and reinforced the Obama administration’s continued commitment to provide both military and economic aid for Cairo, a senior State Department official said.

"What he heard from the secretary is that she is committed to following through on what she has said we will do," the official said following the 45-minute meeting.

U.S. officials said earlier this month they were close to a deal with Egypt’s new government for $1 billion in debt relief to help Cairo shore up its ailing economy in the aftermath of its pro-democracy uprising, which ousted autocratic President Hosni Mubarak.

The aid package had languished during Egypt’s 18 months of political turmoil and progress appeared to reflect a cautious easing of U.S. suspicions about Mursi, who was elected in June…

Bear in mind, this is another billion dollars in aid on top of the $1.6 billion dollars in aid US taxpayers give them every year. All of which is burrowed from the Chinese.

The senior official said Clinton, who has personally lobbied lawmakers to keep U.S. aid to Egypt and other Arab countries on track, believed these concerns had been laid to rest

As long as no one ever says anything untoward about Mohammed.

Mursi will use his New York trip to appear at former President Bill Clinton’s annual philanthropic summit but has no plans to meet U.S. President Barack Obama, who is forgoing individual meetings with world leaders during his own brief stop at the United Nations on Tuesday…

What’s the expression? ‘One hand washes the other’? Mrs. Clinton gives Mr. Morsi another billion and Mr. Morsi helps the Clintons fundraise for their own ‘foundation.’

In his talks with Clinton, Mursi outlined his government’s plans to enact economic reforms as part of a broader push to win a $4.8 billion loan package from the International Monetary Fund, which the United States supports, the official said…

Of which we will also pay the lion’s share. But it’s not like it’s really money. And it’s not like we aren’t getting our money’s worth.

Meanwhile, Egypt isn’t the only country being rewarded for their recent behavior.

Clinton offers more U.S. help as Libya battles militias

By Andrew Quinn | Monday Sept 24, 2012

NEW YORK (Reuters) – U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton offered Libya more help on Monday as it seeks to rein in militias, stressing that Washington will remain a firm partner despite this month’s deadly attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi…

Thank Allah Libya will allow us to give them another hundred million dollars! We thought they might not like us anymore.

A senior U.S. official said Clinton reviewed U.S. assistance to Libya as it works to secure chemical weapons and other dangerous armaments and to crack down on armed militia groups that have sprung up since the ouster of longtime leader Muammar Gaddafi.

"The secretary offered to intensify our support and help for the Libyan government in all of those areas," the official said following the meeting

Let’s hope that other nations don’t take note and decide that the best way to boost their foreign aid from the US is to kill our ambassadors.

By the way, notice how Obama’s name is never mentioned in either of these two articles. Instead, the reports make it sound like this is all Hillary’s doing.

In fact, the additional billion dollars in aid to Egypt was Obama’s idea, and he has been pushing it ever since our (real) ally Hosni Mubarak was overthrown.

There has never been any doubt as to the allegiance of Mrs. Clinton. She has never had our interests at heart, nor will she ever. Her pathetic performance as Secretary of State during the past month leaves no doubt about her abilities and qualifications for higher office. She is a disgrace!

Arabia should not receive one dime from us. It’s past time for us to get our bumbling fools out of office.

    1. Arabs don’t seem to mind accepting CASH from “the great satan.” In God We Trust, isn’t Allah, it’s a different God. –Strange how all that flag-burning rain-dancing they do, showers them with greenbacks in the end.

    2. Hillary Clinton is a bigger failure than Obama. Honestly, let’s stop pretending. This women is the laughing stock of the world. What has she done other than threaten sanctions with one hand, then act as an ATM machine with the other? Wow, what skill!

    3. We have gone way beyond appeasing crocodiles, we are just trying to stuff their mouths with $100 dollar bills so that they can’t bite down on us.

It’s likely that the stupidity in which our government carries out our business is far worse than we will ever know about.

I don’t recognize this America anymore.

Our motto used to be : “Millions for defense but not one cent for tribute.”

    Whatever happened to that America?

    Going, going, gone.
