Obama Slams McCain Campaign’s Tone

From a similarly outraged Associated Press:

Obama criticizes McCain on tone of their campaign

WASHINGTON (AP) — Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama says he can’t imagine saying about an opponent some of the things that his Republican rival, John McCain, has been saying about him.

In an interview aired Thursday on CBS’ “The Early Show,” Obama points to recent charges on the campaign trail that he is “socialistic” and that he “pals around with terrorists.”

Obama says that the campaign for the White House has been tough — but he adds that he believes there is no equivalence between what his campaign has been doing and what the McCain campaign has been doing…

Hey, never mind this campaign ad run by the Obama people starting back on September 14th:

OBAMA: I’m Barack Obama and I approved this message.
MCCAIN: I will not take the low road to the highest office in this land.
ANNCR: What’s happened to John McCain? He’s running “the sleaziest ads ever.” “Truly vile.” “Dishonest smears” That he repeats even after its been “exposed as a lie” “truth be damned” A “disgraceful, dishonorable campaign.” After voting with Bush 90% of the time…proposing the same disastrous economic policies… It seems “deception” is all he has left.

Sure the Obama people call Mr. McCain “dishonorable.”

Of course they promote flat out lies about him, such as: “after voting with Bush 90% of the time…”

That’s no where near as low as pointing out that Mr. Obama is a socialist who has a terrorist as a friend.

You see, the truth really does hurt.

I’ve been thinking about this statement. And I know what he meant, but if you really delve into it Bush was a governor, then President. He never voted in the congress, he only has veto power. They only votes he cast were in general elections. And of course he will vote with Bush 90% of the time. But they fail to mention Obama votes with his party 98% of the time. But remember, it is Obama who is “reaching across the isle.” At least that is what the people who are responsible for disseminating information want you to believe.

What matters is that the tone is working? Squeeky wheel gets the grease—the anointed thug is squeeling because McCain is slowly gaining on him.
