no doubt….but the immediate purpose is probably to distract attention from the Obamy economy, and the massive taxes they are trying to sneak through before the public catches the drift. That’s the shell with the pea at the moment.

It will be the Scooter Libby treatment––special prosecutors, grand jury indictments, show trials in the Washington DC Federal criminal court system, and the same predictable results from all-black DC juries. Perhaps with Congressional Democrats running Truth and Reconciliation Commissions as well.

There seems to be a clear pattern emerging. This is one of several steps in a deliberate program to criminalize, outlaw, and marginalize conservatives and Republicans.

Other, similar measures in the works are DHS targeting veterans, Ron Paul supporters, et al.; fairness doctrine (or one of its variants); demonization of wealthy Americans; civil and criminal litigation against wealthy Americans with overseas assets; hate crimes legislation; and threats against bankers, bondholders, AIG executives, and hedge fund managers.

This shock and awe approach to governance, this no-opposition-will-be-tolerated and in-your-face-conqueror aspect of Nerobama’s Administration, signals America’s slide into tyranny. It is difficult to imagine a program that would be more destructive to civil society and freedom. But I’m sure they will think of something.

Bush officials who deliberated over national-security policies that prevented another 9/11 (many of which the Holder/Obama DOJ have defended in court and, however inadvertently, in Congress) — under investigation.
