Guess how The Moron plans to save $2 trillion over the next two years?

First you have to assume that we would have spent $170 billion per year in Iraq for each year of the next 10.

Then you assume that goes away. Keep your eye on the pea now. Presto, he “saves” nearly 1.5 billion.

The rest of the “savings” is done by…….keep your eye on the pea………Increasing taxes.

I’ve no idea about brad’s like or dislike of the military, but his frustration with the Iraqi’s and Arabs is certainly understandable.

I think will be fools if we leave Iraq, but because of the strategic value of the country and the huge investment we have made in American blood. It’s a certainty that if/when we leave that region will blow up again and become just as dangerous as it was before we went in.

As for the Iraqi politicians, they are scum and ingrates. The people may be a different story.

Where are the howls of hypocrisy? He got elected in part on his claim to get all troops out in 16 months.
And what, pray tell, is a combat troop versus apparently a non-combat troop? If he can get all the “combat troops” out, what will the remaining 50,000 people in U.S. armed forces uniforms around the place be? Will the commanders go down the line and pick the puny looking ones to stay behind? Only Soldiers on profiles and pregnant women?
On a more serious note, I’m sure he’ll enact some sort of RoE that says these troops will not fire unless fired upon, etc. etc, because that has always worked SO WELL!

So now you’re here. I see you’re still on the band wagon about how terrible Iraq is and I don’t think you really like the military that much either no matter what you pretend. It’s all about money for you isn’t it? I know you claim to care about their lives but really, what’s your skin in the game? If I remember correctly you had no one or maybe it was a neighbor or some distant cousin or former friend? I received an email after this speech from the father of a friend of ours who was KIA. Just saying that it seems to be following the Bush timeline but he hoped that his son didn’t die in vain and that if we leave and it falls apart, he fears for those people who will be left behind.
