US Would Bankrupt Without Obama-care

From an unflinching Associated Press:

Obama: US would go bankrupt without health changes

Apr 2, 2010

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama says he did a full court press for a health care system remake because "this country was going to go bankrupt."

At the same time, Obama said in a nationally broadcast interview Friday he isn’t worried that his bold reach for a $1.3 trillion, 10-year makeover might cause his public approval ratings to plummet. He told CBS’s "The Early Show" that forcing changes in the system was "the right thing to do."

The president also said he remains confident that "if you have a good policy and you’re trying to do the right thing, over time the politics works out." He was asked about polls showing his own standings in descent and a continuing revulsion among some elements of the public over the sweeping health care measure.

You know, even in the Muslim faith it is especially egregious to sin on a holy day, of which there are many.

And yet here we are on the most solemn of Christian holy days being told the most foul lies.

By the way, isn’t the US already ‘bankrupt’? Or do you have to ‘file’ to make it official?

If so, that is probably the only thing that is stopping it. There is no one to file to.

“if you have a good policy and you’re trying to do the right thing, over time the politics works out.”

Yep, this demonstrates why social security, medicare, medicaid, cobra, schip, welfare, wic, masscare (the mini obama care), affirmative action, etc; have worked out so swimmingly. That sentiment right there explains the whole flaw of the weak minded liberal thought process that allows the nanny state to take utter control.

I love HotAir’s headline for this……”This just in from Bizarro World”

You know, I’ve never believed this guy could possibly believe his own bullshit, but I’m beginning to question that assumption.

As I’ve reviewd how stupid he is over the last few days….I’m beginning to think he does believe himself.

    God help us.

I know what you mean. Last weekend I saw one of the 1000s of books on him at Barnes and Noble. I picked up one with his speeches in it, opened it up to a random page, and it was all full of broken promises, sometimes called LIES.

“We can’t continue to spend money outside of our budget. We can’t keep spending on foreign wars!”

~Really now. . . It’s like the guy says one thing and does another.

“By the way, isn’t the US already bankrupt?”

    Yes, yes, yes it is.

    You kan look it up.

  4. mr_bill says:

File this one under Joe Biden’s “We’re going to go broke unless we spend more [borrowed] money” file.

  5. Mithrandir says:

Like Limbaugh says, “Whatever room this guy walks into, he is the least experienced person there.”

What a dumb thing to say that America will go bankrupt without his 2,700 page monster-bill that even he never read or understands, and no one was given the 5 days to read it in Congress, nor was it posted online for the public to read! – remember those campaign promises? Maybe he should look up the debt clock on line, to see how bankrupt we already are.

Well then, we all need to thank God in heaven his health care plan pulled us back from the brink of financial ruin! Where is my prayer matt, so i can point it towards Washington and bow down in thankfulness?

Sheesh! This is the kind of person you get when he was raised by no father, a single child, and spoiled by his white mother’s family, and coddled all through college with affirmative action—-you get this arrogant mess of a man.

  6. beautyofreason says:

We need to spend a trillion dollars on a peripheral issue or we will go bankrupt.

    Huh?

How does this kind of logic make sense to the president, or even an average person?

The original estimates for Medicare were off by hundreds of billions per year, so how much is the new health care bill going to cost us in the long run?

I foresee many destitute people in the future. Debts must be repaid, eventually.

Something every non-muslim needs to remember: islam encourages muslims to lie, cheat and steal from non-muslims. As long as it somehow ‘benefits’ islam somewhere down the line, then it’s all okay – including holding grudges, and planning to kill unbelievers.

In fact there’s a special place of hatred inside the koran for Christians and Jews because they are Children of the Book (Bible/Torah). First you ‘offer’ to ‘teach’ them about islam, then when they reject the ‘offer’, that’s when you put them into a kind of protective custody for the day when you can kill them. After all the koran says: slay them where you find them.

I would like people to prove this to themselves, to their satisfaction instead of just believing what I wrote. The koran is online, and you can listen to ‘The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam and the Crusades.’ Very informative; and it’s all over the ‘net if you know how to look.

even private doctors will have to get approval from the government to do certain precedures according to a Doctor on FOX. He didn’t think the government should have his patients health records either. I believe he said it was approx pages 147-149 ish. Not sure if that’s the first bill passed, or the longer bill two days later signed.

Obama never came out and said he was a true Christian before the election, and he never said the words that a true Christian believes as far as Jesus was son of God, died for our sins, and on 3rd day came arose from the dead. He just thinks Jesus was a good man.

  10. pamypo says:

You sure joe Biden didn’t say this. or Gibbs, or Axelrod, or maybe Mrs V Jarrett. Obama is the President of the United States and the CIC, he can not be this stupid. Or is he?

    • proreason says:

Well….he was pissed off when he bought the cheapest possible auto insurance (collision), and they wouldn’t pay him when someone ran into him. He had graduated from Harvard when that happened.

And oh yes, the other guy rear-ended him, which anybody with any common sense knows is almost always the other guy’s fault, and the other insurance will pay.

But they tell us he’s the smartest man to ever be in the White House. Even though all he ever does is read the words somebody else writes for him.

He’s a dolt. If he didn’t have a smoke-induced baritone voice and the ability to seem calm, he would be considered a male version of Maxime Waters.

  11. canary says:

Obama said we’d be bankrupt at the beginning of his term if his health care and environmental programs weren’t approved, we would be bankrupt within 2 years. No SS, no pay for soldiers, national parks would close.
It didn’t take him long, and this is just the begginning we are told.

The nerve of the dishonest Obama to claim temporary census jobs as new jobs created in March. Census is downplaying the number of workers they hired too. Cooking those books.

RE: “What if you are hit by a truck and you don’t have health insurance?”

    Answer: The truck driver pays.

Or, the federal governemnt pays because it passed a law that said emergencty rooms must provide treatment to all.

And then when you get out of the hospital you sue everyone because, why not, there is no tort reform.

Even Greta asked the stupid question last night and her stupid guest tried to answer it. Or were they ignorant?

  14. John The Builder says:

The way I see it, medical insurance coverage (the proper way to describe health care in this context) was not part of the US budget or even on it’s books, aside from the previous medical programs, like Medicare. For them to say that the US would be bankrupt without Obamacare is a complete fabrication. We were going bankrupt from a variety of other government programs, but medical insurance was not one of them.

Until now. Now the bankruptcy of the US is virtually assured.

    • proreason says:

The Moron probably means that the people of the US would go bankrupt.

And that is based on the fallacious idea that if medical costs are increasing faster than inflation, then at some point in the future, medical costs would consume 50,60,70% or more of a family’s budget.

But that of course is the thought process of an 8 year old.

The only reason that medical costs currently consume 16-20% of a family’s budget is because of the wealth of the country. Obviously, people aren’t going to give up food, shelter and transportaion so that they can buy health insurance.

So the country wouldn’t go bankrupt. People would give up overpriced procedures, just as people have done forever. My illustration of that is to consider what you would do if there was a procedure that would add 10 years to your life, but at a cost of a billion dollars. Would you buy it? Well Warren Buffet might. For the rest of us, of course not.

So no rational person buys the lie that health insurance would bankrupt the country. It’s impossible and only an idiot would even say it…….or a marxist whose sole purpose in life is to generate crises to trick people into giving up their freedom.

    • JohnMG says:

…..”But that of course is the thought process of an 8 year old……”

I’ve never heard a more grossly inflated assessment of the Moron’s mental capability. Shiny things and gadgets entrance him–thus his enslavement to the tele-promp-ter. I liken this infatuation to that of an infant in a crib, mesmerised by the twirling mobile suspended overhead.

He’s the penultimate sock-puppet-cum-welfare recipient. He’s got, and will have, his until whomever is REALLY in charge cuts his water off as well, yet he’s too stupid to realize it. He couldn’t be the smartest man in the room even if he was in a room full of mirrors by himself.

Obama care isn’t a huge, bitter pill to swallow, it’s a huge bitter rectal suppository. Bend over!!

    • Rusty Shackleford says:

“…then at some point in the future, medical costs would consume 50,60,70% or more of a family’s budget.”

But, my medical insurance premiums are due to go down 3000%. So, it’ll all work out.
