Obama Vows To Push Amnesty After Budget Deal

From The Hill:

Obama to push immigration reform ‘day after’ budget deal

By Justin Sink | October 15, 2013

President Obama vowed Tuesday that he would pursue an immigration reform vote in the House the "day after" Congress reached an agreement to reopen the government and raise the debt ceiling.

"Once that’s done, you know, the day after — I’m going to be pushing to say, call a vote on immigration reform," Obama told Univision’s Los Angeles affiliate.

Notice that Obama made this promise on a Spanish language station.

"And if I have to join with other advocates and continue to speak out on that, and keep pushing, I’m going to do so because I think it’s really important for the country. And now is the time to do it."

What is the rush? Illegal aliens don’t even face the Obama-Care penalty if they don’t have insurance. They don’t have to pay income tax. And yet they still get free healthcare and all the benefits of US citizens. They probably aren’t in that much of a hurry to get ‘out of the shadows.’

In any case, at least the Republicans’ fight to defund Obama-Care, the government shutdown and the debt ceiling fight have delayed amnesty for a few weeks, anyway.

The president reiterated his claim that the only thing holding back passage of the Senate’s immigration bill is "Speaker Boehner not willing to call the bill on the floor of the House of Representatives."

Gosh, those House Republicans are wicked. Why won’t they give these 11 million people amnesty so they can vote Democrat?

Earlier this month, House Democrats introduced their own version of an immigration bill in an attempt to spur Republican action after it appeared that momentum had stalled for immigration reform. The bill largely mirrors the Senate effort, while stripping out some border security provisions added to win Senate GOP votes…

Why would anyone oppose amnesty and open borders? We thought the Republican Party wanted to reach out to Hispanics?

Republican leaders have instead favored a piecemeal approach to reform, saying that big legislation would be too unwieldy to implement…

They want to cherry pick? We can’t have that. Everyone must get immediate amnesty. The midterms are coming!

But Democrats believe that Republicans simply hope to vote for beefed up border security and employment verification measures without also providing a pathway to citizenship for the nation’s undocumented workers.

In other words, to use ‘liberal speak,’ the Democrats want to hold the country’s borders hostage until they get 11 million new voters. They are putting a gun to the head of our borders, until they get their way.

But of course our side never talks that way. That would be too inflammatory.

Two of the reasons for the fall of the Roman Empire were
excessive social services, and unrestricted immigration, such
as the Gauls, Vandals, Huns, Teutons, Eastern religions, &c.
History may not repeat itself, but it sure does rhyme.

Building the Tower of Babel was halted when people who spoke different languages became confused.

I think the amnesty is a decoy and gun control will be the next priority.

John McCain said to day that Obama never once spoke with the Republicans during the gov shut down.

He said the Democrats kept sneaking in all sorts of things in their proposals. So many they couldn’t even keep up with it.

He mentioned building a dam somewhere he’d never heard of.

Why not call what it really is, Dimocrap voter recruitment?
