Not the time to rest on Our Laurels – I guess the translation to that is – I’m not el Presidente for Life or el Presidente of the World (yet) so I must keep on keeping on.

I think (see related article on Census) that the key to breaking down this house of cards that is The One ™ is ACORN – seems that all things bad lead back to this vile ‘community organization’ and back to it’s vile head ‘community organizer’. More than Glenn Beck and Bill O’Reilly need more everyones. Indys, Repubs, Conservs, Libertars, anti-Taxers, Fair Taxers, Flat Taxers, Anti-IRSers – you know, the average American to stand up and scream – Investigate, Press Charges and Find out who is at fault for this disgrace upon American non-profits, charities, voter/election fraud and citizens rights. ‘Cuz if we don’t felons and the dead aren’t going to be the only ones Voting Early and Often in 2010 and we will not rid this land of the fake known as The One ™ – who can’t be eloquent without a teleprompter.

Must be done Now to insure that anyone other than a D wins in 2010 – so that the fixing and real solutions can begin.

Pro, this is a remarkable list. I’m glad somebody is keeping score. At the risk of some redundancy, I’d like to tack onto your list. Nerobama has:

Repeatedly disrespected / refused to support America’s three most important strategic allies, Britain, Canada, and Israel.
Refused to support Netanyahu against Iran, which may prove to be the single biggest blunder in recent history.
Suspended the USA’s missile defense system.
In space of 100 days spent the USA into bankruptcy, with no ammo left for emergencies.
The blame-Bush-apology-for-America tours.
Release of top secret CIA memos and techniques.
The ongoing threat against Bush-Cheney attorneys and staff with investigations, Truth Commissions, and criminal prosecutions.
No response to Daniel Ortega’s 55-minute anti-American harangue.
Open hostility to business leaders (sacking GM’s CEO, and threats against AIG execs, bank execs, credit card company execs, bondholders, hedge fund mgrs, et al.).
Politicizing the census.
Going after Americans with foreign bank accounts.
DHS targeting veterans, pro-lifers, Ron Paul supporters, et al. as suspected / potential terrorists.
Covering up the name of Jesus and Christian symbols at Georgetown University speech.

But at the risk of repeating myself: It’s not just these programs and policies––although those things are bad enough. It is the way it’s happening. The shock and awe approach, as jobeth calls it. The blatant lies and propaganda, the arrogance, the threats, the thuggery, the no-opposition-will-be-tolerated and in-your-face conqueror aspect has to be seen as something novel, as something which has never happened before, but which will happen again. And again. And again. A line has been crossed.

Back to your point above concerning bottoming out. Obama is all about illusion. People are mesmerized by this con artist. Any slight indicator of an upward tick is jawboned into a miraclous turn-around due to his efforts. Such ARE his laurels. And the Obamabots, with nothing but mush in their heads, take another swig of the Kool-Aid. They’re convinced he’s magic.

“I will admit here to just being frustrated as I can be. We’re watching the greatest economy in the world crumble right before our eyes. Every promised fix is failing right before our eyes. We have thrown trillions of dollars that no doubt cannot be tracked at all of these failing industries and the industries continue to fail and get worse. We have authorized a Porkulus bill of near $1 trillion to get shovel-ready projects going, to get the economy going, it’s not working. There’s no new employment to report out there, unemployment at 25-year high last month. None of it is working. And what angers me is I think this is by design.

Nobody in their right mind, I don’t care, liberal, socialist, communist, everybody with half a brain knows that what is being done right now to fix the economy doesn’t fix an economy. But it does a lot of other things. It empowers the people who are spending the money. It keeps the people who are the supposed recipients of the money impoverished. It keeps them nervous, it keeps them on edge. Those people are happy and very, very comforted that the government is trying to do something. And so far it hasn’t worked and so Obama said, “We’re working on this, you ain’t seen nothing yet,” so they’re going to be content to sit there and wait for more assistance to come and it won’t come because it cannot come. ”

So we can’t rest on our laurels eh? First of all, you’ve got to do something incredibly significant that places you above everyone else to earn your laurels. And spending money that we don’t have, like a drunken sailor is hardly what I’d call significant.It amazes me how much of a pass this guy continues to get. His smug arrogance is only surpassed by that of the MSM. Of course for Obama it’ll always be that way with the press and their love fest for their boy. Or should I say a wad fest? Because after every speech he gives the press just blows their wad over his masterful oratory skills. PR, as always, you nailed it. Don’t ever stop posting your observations of the obvious that the media seem to turn a blind eye over.

As has been so eloquently stated, the country has been put in a most precarious position thanks to an egotistical idiot and his willing accomplices in the media and congress.
Soon we’ll have more people than ever dependent on the government for their every need. The Republican party needs to grow a set and grow it now before it’s too late!

I didn’t say we had hit the bottom, pro. I said this bottom would have been reached sooner had he done nothing. I neglected to put quotation marks around “this bottom”, for I, too, believe it to be a momentary blip on the downward spiral. And I tend to agree–we have miles of rocky road ahead. I, for one, would appreciate seeing some of this “consumer confidence” of which I’ve been hearing, for it sure isn’t apparent in my business. From my viewpoint, it is non-existent. My clients are holding tight to their shrinking dollars in anticipation of seeing them evaporate in a surge of inevitable inflation.
