Both are relatively simple for normal people - hey, I would understand a 100% if he had been honest and said - I'm not a pet person - sorry, even with staff to help care for it - The Obama's aren't getting a pet. But no, The One (tm) lets himself get suckered into the promise to his daughters ('win or lose by Jan 31st) which begs me to ask the follow up question - If The One (tm) reniggs on promise to his daughters - how can anyone else <b>ever</b> believe his promises to them? And he expects and apparently is getting a pass on this issue from the Obamedia. And even more sacred is his promise to God - which apparently he 1) never made, 2) is afraid to publically indicate what God he made it to or 3) really never made a promise at all but like so much else in his life, just used the church to his own purpose. The One (tm) is not a man of his word in any sense at all - and these two 'simple' issues are prime proof of it. I’d buy it (the dog being a non issue) except:

But as someone else pointed out, President Obama was Senator Obama for two years before becoming president. Washington, DC shouldn't be a brand new place. And the issue isn't just choosing a particular parish, it appears to be also picking a denomination. Shouldn't you at least know what your religion and beliefs are by now?
