I'm waiting for the day the government or some other group tries to ban the Bible (the Truth, not the abridged humpin'-homo-lovin' lib-version sure to appear at this rate) as a book worse than Mein Kampf. May be paranoid, but I keep one of mine hidden, just in case.

By the way, I seem to recall reading somewhere that homosexuality used to be considered a mental disorder. Just wondering if anyone here recalls the names of any medical books debating that.

When you give your mind, body and soul over to depravity you open the door for other darker acts to follow. And you commit these acts without conscience because your conscience has been seared and calloused by indifference.

Steve's comment makes an excellent point.

The Bibles explanations of those that strayed from God, led to depraved or stupid minds, leading to abnormal and sexual acts that lacked cleanliness. (Homosexuality, Bisexuality, orgies, sex with animals, incest, etc. were part of a full context with vanity, idolatry to cows, creeping things, murdering, slandering, whispering, disobedient children, stealing, etc. I think the sexual acts for most leads to thoughts of eeww. yukkie, grotesque. Some of the sins give us thoughts of sadness, anger, & grief. Some in the U.S. lead to punishment, poor health, death. We are fall short and we are all sinners. A sin is a sin, but some have stricter consequences than others. Some, the man made laws do not involved in. With the Ten Commandments now illegal, things may get worse. We’ve got some extremist Obomies that think murdering a homosexual is okay if it‘s a culture religious belief. Some, Obomies think only mutilating children's bodies should be respected, and not considered an extreme crime. The Bible explains that without following Jesus’s instructions that human minds can become depraved, stupid, mean, harmful, and lead to death.
The government says prostitution is against the law. It bears snowball harm. But, they leave, orgies, swingers, alone. They have prosecuted carriers of Aids, who have proven to intentionally spread it. The context of the unclean, harmful behavior of people, have different consequences as we see.
Whether homosexuality is something you are born with, or do to our society saying appeasing your sexual desires anyway you want, can be debated. My personal feelings were that have feeling sorry for those that struggle with this temptation. But, I believe a lot of is from addiction to sex period. And we have a generation, where without stigma are experimenting, and have no idea what they are. Treat gay people, fairly, respect them, as you would anyone. So, I don’t’ understand all this bringing the law into making
It lawful. We aren’t going to bother passing laws that it’s legal to drink coffee, be unfaithful, be cranky and rude. This is just a subject that does not need to have laws on. We already have laws not to discriminate, or beat someone up., equal pay. Many abnormal and unhealthy behaviors have their own consequences. I don’t believe the constitution or laws should be changed to allow marriage between
Two men, or two women, anymore than I believe there should be a law that a parent can have sex with
Their child, or siblings allowed to have sex. Let them get their own church and preacher and get married, just as gay people are already doing. And earlier before it was a crime to discuss Aids origins, scientists had opinions that it came from sex with monkeys. There’s been talk among equine owners that a disease equine has to be vaccinated for, came from human sexual acts, like the ole Mexican donkey and woman, act. We may never know. But, Obama’s church has already blamed aids on the U.S. so at lest one less world ’blame it on the U.S. speech. For awhile, teenagers were leading the epidemic. It’s back to the men. But, the new global one world religion of Obomyism will probably give us another federal holiday called Gay’s Day.

I guess the Reverend Billy Graham was either too old or too conservative for Obama to handle. So instead he chose a more 'progressive' minister. Obama's new Christian advisor must have a different Bible than the one I grew up with. Maybe he has the Revised Gay Standard edition.

Amen. I like the part where the ObomieZombie's will argue "but Lord didn't I give medicine...,but Lord didn't I feed poor...but..didn't I, but,..? And the Lord answer's "I do not even know you".
There was a time when the Universal Psychololigy Manauls, agreed that homo-sexualism was "abnormal, deviant behavior. The bible had nothing to do with doctor's findings and opinions of abnormal sexual relations. This subject should not be such an issue in politics either.

People like him like to cherry pick the Bible.

"Let's see, I like that part, but not that part.

"So in so is much smarter than God and he agrees with my perversions so I will toss that part out.

I'll just keep the parts that I like. And tell you what YOU have to believe to conform to my beliefs."

Yeah, yeah, THATS the TICKET! LOL

I could make a long list of things he does Baptist's don't support, beginning with A - abortion....but you get the picture!

So he must be something else...ummm let me see...muslim?

I'm still trying to figure out what is taking so long to select a church. The president has been in DC for well over two years, so it can't be because he hasn't found the time or had a chance. And as a Catholic (well...I've been bad about going to mass lately), it seems odd to me that the list of churches you hear that Obama's team is considering for his attendance include different denominations of Christianity. He's not sure if he's Baptist or something else?

What strikes me is the hypocrisy. Is he even hearing himself..? Oh silly me...it doesn't have to make sense. He's a gay lib.

First he says that the program will be based on lies that say that Christians are being silenced.

Theeeennnn...he goes on to tell you to call the station to tell them to silence the program about the Christians being silenced!

Hellllooooo! Dumbo!

I do think I will take his advice though. I am going to contact the station and put my two cents in on this program! I am going to tell them how much I appreciate them being brave enough to speak the truth. I hope others will do the same!

Yeah, I can't figure that one out either. In fact, someone could easily make the argument that WOMEN are denied more equality than gay people. This is how I see it...say a black man, a white woman, and gay white man interview for the same job. Who is LEAST LIKELY to be a victim of prejudice in this situation? Obviously the gay man! You can't disguise the fact that you're black. You can't disguise the fact that you're a female. But if you're not dressed in a tu-tu singing show tunes, it's not likely that the interviewer is going to know you're gay.

Good question! I love how these radical "Christians" like Knox and Wright mold the word of God to fit their own agenda. So, if it's wrong to be gay according to the Bible, let's just say that the Bible is wrong in this one instance. We may as well throw the Ten Commandments out the window.
