Once again, sir, you are correct. Part of the anger for him lies in the realization that we aren't just going to roll over. I don't think he's ever experienced this type of resistance, and it is, at once, coming from everywhere and nowhere. He'd love to lash out, but he's never faced an adversary that he either couldn't charm or threaten into doing his bidding.

Now that people know just how pissed he gets, they'll frustrate him for the pure hell of it. Game on!!

Every picture I've seen of him in the last several days shows his angry, hateful glare. The corners of his mouth are turned down in a bitter sneer. He can't get over it, pro. His body-language is unmistakable.

I hope he is in charge because he either cannot, or no longer wishes to, hide this side of his personality from public view, and the public doesn't like what they see. If he hadn't been so adroit at concealing this characteristic from the public, he would never have been elected. Even dour, bitter Harry Reid can't match Obama for pure sourpuss expression.

The State of the Union address will be interesting. So far there are mixed signals.

Some indications of temperance (which, of course, will be just a sham), and some indications of full-steam-ahead to Marxist Nirvana.....even though they have seen the whites of our eyes and they aren't white, they are angry red.

If they ratchet up the daily minute of hate against bankers (to be followed with minutes of hate against baby-sitters and hamburger flippers), it will be fantastic news. Remember that there is only one thing a Community Organizer knows how to do, and that is fan the flames of hatred. If that is the strategy they go with, then it will mean that OBAMY IS IN CHARGE. And that will be a very very good thing, because, obviously, he is an idiot without the common sense god gave a slug. Republicans will win both houses if he is in charge for another minute.

But if they pull back their horns and go with the strategy of smaller changes "for the middle class", then it will be a very bad sign. It will mean that the grownups in the Cabal have overruled the Moron, and they are putting him back in his play box while they give the yokels time to let the steam out of our ears. As I've said before, 7 more years with the WH as their weapon while moving the shells zippedy zip around the board to confuse us rubes will allow them to multiply the damage they have already done to the country.

He'll show up at the CMA presentation to pick up his 'entertainer of the year' award in a pair of Tony Lama's and some Wranglers, and sporting a Resistol. You won't be able to tell him from George Strait........except that he'll be a little darker-skinned and won't have a southern drawl--unless he wants one.

I guess he will mention some hunting and drinking stories this time around and how he and Michelle are looking forward to going to Daytona this year. He may even try some Negro dialect! Nothing like a desperate elitist! (Hilary and her shots of whiskey, Negro dialect, Kerry and "where can I get me a hunting license?")

"So we need someone to explain the SOTU first? It must be either full of lies OR like the Bail outs and Health care bills..too convoluted to understand…My bet is on both."

Jo, we have no idea what we're in for starting with the SOTU. Gibbs says its about "jobs" and I hear his budget is supposed to be very "urban centric," but with the hints he dropped last week I'm guessing this is about targeting the "origins of our economic situation" - bankers. Financial law is very complex and draining for the average American's attention span. as they're probably more pissed than anything at the banking system and so inclined to support sweeping regulation. To generate or regain support - to "reconnect" - Marxists always redirect populist outrage from them to some enemy, and during economic hardship public enemy #1 is always the fatcat bankers. How convenient is it that Goldman Sachs' obscene behavior, profits, and bonuses seem more than willing to publicly represent the face of that excess. Maybe, along with Bernanke and Geithner - all of whom even have the Left after them - they'll go down in the name of "reform"?

Regarding the reform, if Bernanke bites the dust then "Too Big to Fail" goes with him and Geithner's now warning Wall St. with him. Many wonder if Barry will renominate Paul Volcker in an attempt to salvage fiscal credibility and realign with the base while appearing moderate (but can a former Fed Chairman be reppointed? Do the rules matter at this point?) Of course fiscal credibility to a liberal means taxes, and the new banking legislation will be chalk full of them, along with being longer and more confusing than HealthCare, more devastating to Wall Street, lending and housing (thus construction, etc etc). It will of course probably be another backdoor take-over of those big banks that didn't fall to TARP; nevertheless it will pass with bipartisan support because of Washington elites under the guise of 'maverick centrists.' He'll add fuel to the recent ruling on the McCain-Feingold Bill, probably using spin similar to what Alec Baldwin says :

"Do you really want the sociopaths from AIG, Wall Street trading firms and bailed out banks, who have driven the US economy off a cliff, to have an insurmountable war chest with which to campaign for candidates of their choice?" Come on Alec, as opposed to the Hollywood and media war chests? Get serious.

Last time I checked, McCain (along with Volcker) specifically supported reinstating the Glass-Steagall Act, which has to do with banks dealing in securities. The important thing to know is that because it was repealed, our system may actually be weathering the collapse better because banks are able to absorb toxic assets.

But it's impossible to get into this without spending hours and losing focus. Obama knows it, so it's very easy to make a rational case for very bad regulation. That's what I'm expecting this SOTU.

It will of course probably be another backdoor take-over of those big banks that didn’t fall to TARP; nevertheless it will pass with bipartisan support because of Washington elites under the guise of ‘maverick centrists.’ He’ll add fuel to the recent ruling on the McCain-Feingold Bill, probably using spin similar to what Alec Baldwin says :

“Do you really want the sociopaths from AIG, Wall Street trading firms and bailed out banks, who have driven the US economy off a cliff, to have an insurmountable war chest with which to campaign for candidates of their choice?” Come on Alec, as opposed to the Hollywood and media war chests? Get serious.

Last time I checked, McCain (along with Volcker) specifically supported reinstating the Glass-Steagall Act, which has to do with banks dealing in securities. The important thing to know is that because it was repealed, our system may actually be weathering the collapse better because banks are able to absorb toxic assets.

But it’s impossible to get into this without spending hours and losing focus. Obama knows it, so it’s very easy to make a rational case for very bad regulation. That’s what I’m expecting this SOTU.

Folks, you are really helping me to maintain my sanity through all this. I think it would be a good thing for the response to this coming charade (SOTU address) be given by a committee of bloggers from S & L, who would, with characteristic tongue-in-cheek, humorous sarcasm, refute the Moron point by point. Not only would the truth go before the public, but the thoughts and feelings of countless thousands would be given voice.

Now THAT would be speaking truth to power.
