Online Petition Claims Boston Suspects Innocent

From the Daily Caller:

Change.org hosts petition claiming Boston bombing suspects ‘wrongfully accused’

By Patrick Howley | April 22, 2013

The online activism organization Change.org currently hosts a petition to President Obama asking him to guarantee “wrongfully accused” Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev a “fair trial,” citing a lack of evidence to condemn Tsarnaev.

Change.org, which receives funding from groups including Amnesty International and the Humane Society, features a petition entitled, “Petition to guarantee Dzhokhar Tsarnaev the right to a fair trial,” created by Anita Temisheva of Chicago, Illinois.

The petition has already netted more than 2,000 signatures.

“We believe that within the chaos caused by the Boston Marathon explosion, two young men were wrongfully accused of something they did not do, and one of them has lost his life before even getting the opportunity of a proper trial. We do not wish to see blood of yet another innocent victim, someone who, by U.S. law, is innocent until proven guilty,” reads the petition’s introductory statement.

“It is vital to end this persecution, as all the conflicting information shown by the media, and footage from the incident, seen by people from all corners of the world, doesn’t manifest itself as enough evidence to condemn Dzhokhar Tsarnaev of this heinous crime. You promised to the world that you would get to the bottom of this, and we hope you keep your word. We want evidence. We want truth. We want justice,” the petition says…

Great. We now have a new breed of ‘Truthers.’

In March 2012, a petition on Change.org was instrumental in pressuring for the arrest of neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman, who claimed that he shot Florida teenager Trayvon Martin in self-defense after Martin attacked him and reached for Zimmerman’s gun. The Change.org petition “Prosecute the killer of our son, 17-year old Trayvon Martin“ received more than 2.2 million signatures…

What were they saying about "innocent until proven guilty’?

Meanwhile, social media is running true to form. Also, via the Daily Caller:

Online supporters rush to declare Tsarnaev not guilty

By Caroline May | April 21, 2013

With Dzhokhar Tsarnaev in custody, some on social media have already reached the conclusion that the 19-year-old suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings is innocent.

Tsarnaev, a naturalized U.S. citizen who tweeted under the name “Jahar,” has been receiving support in recent days from people on Twitter, many tweeting under the hashtag #freejahar.

Slynn @Shauntelx3: "Call me crazy, but I know Jahar is innocent. There is no evidence whatsoever, you’re all going by what the police SAID. #freejahar"

#musicismylife @Nevan_W: "Don’t believe everything you hear and see on the news. Governments have lied to us before. #FreeJahar He is an innocent man!!

Dilveen Darwesh @dilveend: "Still convinced it’s all a set up #FreeJahar"

Others tweeted #PrayforJahar.

ChaeMorgann @ChaeMorgann: "America tells you to stand up for what you believe in, and that’s exactly what I’m doing! #FreeJahar HE IS INNOCENT!!!!!!! #PrayForJahar"

Nour Issa @NourIssaaa: "That would be plain stupid. Obviously its a set up. But no one can say shit since the government has its hands on everything #prayforjahar"

At least one Twitter user suggested making t-shirts:

Mariammm @WTHHH_: "We should make "free jahar" T-shirts :) ! #jaharisinnocent"

Another user determined that Tsarnaev is so innocent he will be able to turn a hefty profit following his release.

Sabrina ™ @Saberella_ "@J_tsar #JaharIsInnocent he’s gonna get so much money out of this when they let him go"

As of publication a Facebook group titled “Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is innocent” had over 4,790 members. The “About” section of the open group explained in five words, “this is a set up!” …

Another “closed group” on Facebook with 31 members declares, “Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is Innocent Until Proof is Shown!!” …

Another group with 76 members named simply “Dzhokhar Tsarnaev” features the creator of the group posting comments praising Tsarnaev as “the hero, our hero” and “the legend of the boston marathon.”

What a sick social media world we live in.

  1. Even if there is no evidence that this little bastard bombed the marathon, they’ve got him dead to rights for running over his own injured brother in his effort to get away from police. There is also the fact that as they fled police they were chucking pipe bombs and even one pressure cooker bomb (identical to the device that blew up at the marathon) apparently went out the window at police.

All these tweeters twitting their support for Joker prove one thing without a doubt. P.T. Barnham was right. There is a sucker born every minute. Let’s update that quote for the 21st century to read, “There’s a useful idiot liberal moron tweeting every second”.

They should have just shot him in the head when they had the chance. THAT would have been justice. Now we’re going to be inundated with ACLU legaleze and a long drawn out circus trial to rival OJ Simpson… did he ever find the real killer? No, but at least we can be sure that the real killer wasn’t on any of the local golf courses. Whew.

Most of signatures are from around the world with foreign names about everyone deserving fair trial.

I imagine youtube won’t let people post their personnel videos. You can imagine all these people standing there with cell phones just as the pictures in “Benghazi” showed the war torn impoverished Libya people all with cell phones in the air taping the U.S. ambassador being dragged.

The sad thing is these monsters get the fairest trials than anyone in the world and even if his brother swayed him and he is 19. All the more to make our youth more responsible. I am surprised they have not changed the age of adulthood to 26.

And where’s the concern for the rights of the dead, their survivors,
and those with their legs blown off, and the horror of it inflicted on us?

  4. Since government has now given the #2 bomber “enemy combatant” status………….why didn’t the cops and FBI just shoot the boat he was hiding in full of holes and quit wasting time with robots and helicopters and infra-red cameras. If they don’t want to extract information from him then why didn’t they just shoot the boat full of holes then?

    • No enemy combatant status…….correction!

Well, if it were my boat, and I saw him, I’d have shot holes in the boat, except the possibility he might have a bomb that might hurt others. I would certainly be posted at the window ready to shoot him if he came towards my house. There are many stories the reporters reported as to the owner and what the police told them. At one point the dozens of shots rat tatting, and explosions the reporters said it was a common practice for the police to do this without hitting him, to make him surrender. No telling. I am just thankful they caught them.

  5. Right of the People

Last week as soon as I heard the “suspects” were Chechnyan (read Mooselimb) that’s all I needed to know. Pretty boy like him will be popular in prison if he doesn’t end up on death row.
