Reading the fracas about Chik-Fil-A and the utter hatred being spewed from the rational and enlightened left I both feel disgust, but also how blatantly clear their tactics and strategies are.

I propose a new name for the Marxists/Socialist/Liberals: The Liars.

Stick it to them, and never let them be called anything else. Despite all their rosy promises it’s always the same end game: a small oligarchy of the privileged, members of the Party, who may say they own nothing but have endless means at their disposal. And a sea of the Unwashed, who work away to support them.

Basically the same as any King and his minions, but modernized. Give them just enough to feel they’re happy, and keep telling them how good they got it and it could be worse. Pride is in belonging, in playing the game. And the result is a stagnant world, progress stops as to innovate or succeed makes you better than someone else and hurts their feelings. And the elite live only for themselves.

Look how the game is played:

To be “with” them is to be better, smarter, insightful and aware. How often do you get berated by some liberal about how intelligent they are even thought their education is probably at best comparative literature?

Code labels so they’re always upbeat, open, or “intellectual.” Co-Opt positive words and ideas as their own: Homosexual=Gay, Left wing=Liberal, Socialist/Communist=Progressive

Change labels constantly, have as many splinter groups as possible even though they all say the same thing–just look at all the progressive organizations out there. Keep them small enough people still think it’s “grass roots” and for the people. So many they’ll think it’s a veritable tsunami of justified righteousness come to wipe the old world away.

Allow only “positive” role models and views–not the objective truth. Nothing negative can be allowed as people may begin to question things–the message matters more. Make them think the message is the truth and anything negative is the fault of the enemy.

Everything that is done is for the good, and the end justifies the means. You cannot be filled with hate no matter what you do if you are “with” them.

Any opposition, any opposing views are not only untrue and without merit, but evil and must be destroyed. Anyone not sharing the views is racist, or crazy, or filled with hate. Don’t like gays for any reason or in any degree=homophobic, See through a “positive” role model=racist or bigot, any liberal dogma=politically correct.

There is no secret to this, it’s not only obvious but basic psychology. Probably the worst part of this co-opting is with the political parties. In the 18th century up through most of the 19th Republicans would have been considered liberals, and liberal back then meant genuine openness of ideas, personal liberty, and freedom. Democrats were conservatives, and believed in staid government control.

And it’s also not been a straight arrow of Truth in their “message,” it’s changed considerably over time.

In the 30’s it was giving the working man his share so he wouldn’t be labored to death. Never mind if the workers owned all the factories who would be buying all the goods.

In the 60’s it was telling the under 30 crowd they didn’t have to go to war in Vietnam and could indulge themselves in drugs and sex–they didn’t have to grow up and face the world either. What would happen when they had children and responsibilities–well we know how that turned out.

In the 90’s until recently it’s been a brittle “Shame on You!” morality. Ramp up guilt, accusation, and fear. You should cooperate or face all the vitriol that can be thrown at you.

The newest iteration seems to be a response to the economic crisis–embrace us and we will protect you, keep you safe.

What I wonder is–this is all so simple, not very sophisticated. Only powerful because it’s so relentless, only persuasive because the followers don’t want to face what they’ve become

Why can’t this be countered? Why can’t it be stopped and forever removed from our history?

    Because it’s satanic?

So, a business owned by a Catholic doesn’t have to buy Obama Care under that little exemption of religious believes. I keep saying time to start a national religion. Pay 5 bucks get a membership and prove you belong.

“Fathom the Hypocrisy of a Government
that requires every citizen to prove
they are insured… but not everyone
must prove they are a citizen.”

Add to this that, many of those who refuse or are unable to prove they are citizens, …
will receive free insurance paid for by those who are.

  5. canary says:

The BBC has sure taken up lying. Must be all the chemicals in the air at the Olympics that have affected their ignorant reporting.

  6. Steve says:

    GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT:

As you may have noticed, there have been some minor tweaks of S&L lately. They include the new ‘bee hind’ icon which is now the favicon (in the browser bar) and the default Gravatar/avatar for comments.

I have also narrowed the width of the page, so it no longer goes edge to edge. Some people are convinced that this makes websites easier to read. Let me know if you agree or disagree.

As always, I’m trying to find ways to speed up the S&L in general. If anyone has any hardcore coding experience, or friends with same, please let me know.

    • Rusty Shackleford says:

      Thanks Steve,

As always, S&L brings a blinding light to the lies perpetrated by the national socialists and their apparatchiks of the media. The Brian Williams’, Debbie Blabbermouth Schulz, etc.

The more the word gets out. the better. I think the electronic media has actually made a huge dent in the ownership of the narrative (the lie) that they like to transmit. Thus, more people are being exposed to a rational, straightforward example of their hypocrisy when the facts come to light.

Thank you, Steve for sticking with it and letting us conservatives have a voice.

Remember, Werner Von Braun wanted to take a huge rocket all the way to the moon. A small voice in the engineering community, by name of John C. Houbolt, an engineer at the Langley. Research Center, risked it all by writing a letter to Robert Seamans about being “somewhat of a lone voice in the wilderness” . But without this risk and one man who had it right speaking up, we never would’ve made it to the moon in the time we had.

One voice CAN make a difference. When spoken clearly, directly and without undue emotion, the reason speaks for itself.

The problem we are dealing with is a mass of the public that doesn’t think reasonably, only emotionally. They feel more than they reason and that’s always spelled trouble for the human race.

    • Curiosity says:

I did not notice the page width change.

I know you don’t say often, but how is the site doing financially?

Until a moment ago, I never noticed you had an official shirt … I guess I assumed it was an ad for something else.

And ditto to what Rusty says, thank you!

Off topic, but – I saw the “If a conservative … If a liberal…” statements (on topics like gun control / vegetarianism / etc.) you posted about a month back circulating on Facebook recently. Even if you adapted it from elsewhere, I imagine you greatly increased its exposure.

    • Steve says:

“I know you don’t say often, but how is the site doing financially?”

The site has always operated at a loss. However, it was never intended to make money.

  7. Chrispbass says:

I’ve never donated but I’m going too. I would be bummed if this site dissapeared.

  8. canary says:

    I can’t find home clicker.

    • Steve says:

      “I can’t find home clicker.”

Do you mean to you want a link to the front page of the site?

If so, just click on the yellow S&L banner.

  9. canary says:

My rescue canary just passed away peacefully. His name was Liberty.

    • Steve says:

I am very sorry to hear that. It’s terrible to lose a pet.

    • canary says:

Liberty my canary had feather markings along one eye exactly like the American eagle. In the last year his cute little baby chick eye started growing the same pattern until he appeared to be an American eagle. He is truly a free American eagle now.

    • canary says:

Thank you Steve. He was getting old. He has gone to higher calling and now can soar towards a greater freedom and tell the other birds to leave their droppings on the heads of our enemies. (I’m crying but trying to cheer myself up)

  10. canary says:

Michelle Obama spends huge percent of Obama’s salary on jacket for Olympics.

The Washington Post: So Michelle Obama’s jacket cost $6K. What did Mitt wear?

By Diana Reese July 31st 2012

We are still such a sexist society.

This weekend the first lady caught flak over her $6,800 jacket from American designer J. Mendel,….

To be honest, if I were going to meet Queen Elizabeth, I would be tempted to cash in my retirement savings for a new outfit.

Let’s quit worrying about clothes and focus on issues instead.

Dear Ms. Diane Reese, you give women a bad name. Thank you for not worrying about clothes, and enjoy living in princesses and rainbow land. The paper should send her on a London assignment to meet the Queen.

  11. canary says:

Now Obama is handing defensive help to Tusania. And the once most democratic Mali is now radical Sharia Law.

Question???? If Obama’s Arab Spring is all about helping extremists take over governments such as in Syria……

Then how come Obama isn’t offering “Iraq” aid instead?

Many think Obama is ethnic cleansing the world.

    • canary says:

?Or is Obama determined to be a better muslim than his idol MalcomX whose softening led to muslim extremists killing him.

Pretty sick when as an adult organizer he occasionally bought Farakhan’s paper. Like when the headline said Blue-eyed White women says white people are from the devil.

So in the preface or a section in his Dreams he mentions wondering what his friends would think when they found out he had a white mother, something he lied about since age 13. . So, he wanted people to think his light skin was because he was a muslim? Somthing he had to tell them he was as he was not authenic African.

At his private school he was so impressed by a muslim who told him he moved to Hawaii after MalcomX’s death. So, he tell’s when he told his friends of his conversion at the basketball court they made fun of him. Obama was angry that his new muslim friend just laughed and shrugged it off. Probably because he ate pork and had sex and did not follow conservative Islam.

So, he pretended to be studying in his bedroom as he read every book he could hiding them from his grandparents. His most profane connection to MalcomX was the desire to purge the white man from his body.

His anger at this white mother in his twenties when she and sister visited and took him to see a movie when he suddenly realized her selfishness in dating his family because she wanted an exotic black man. Darn. His sister would not read the books the
bought her. How dare them talk about visiting the Statue of Liberty or eating strawberries and cream on vacation while he was working a summer job. Thank goodness his mother had very close rich friends on Park Avenue. He heard his sister whispering that she was afraid her brother Obama was turning into one of those freaks. What ever that could mean.

Didn’t his sister know that she was to read those books because he was a domineering Muslim man who the woman in the family were to obey. Good thing they left and spent the rest of their vacation at the Park Avenue, because Obama may have had a family honor party.
