It wasn’t merely welfare reform that lowered unwed birth rates. That helped overall, but the main force behind the collapse in teen pregnancy was the change by the Republican-controlled Congress in 1995 for that year’s Fall school semester from a policy of “Everybody does it, get used to it, you ought to be ashamed of your prudish self if you don’t do it, too” sex education to one promoting chastity. Immediately, and for the first time, teen pregnancy rates began declining, and rapidly. Their real explosion among all began with the push from Washington of sex education classes, but they’d been rising due to Leftist cultural pressure for years before that, especially among the fatherless created by Congress in the mid-1960’s.

Teen pregnancy rates declined every year the pro-chastity program was in effect, until Republicans began losing control of governorships and state legislatures and the perverse anti-human beliefs of the Left were put back into force. They did the same thing in Congress, as well. You may not remember the great anger caused among abortion-provider and other filth-mongering groups when their “customers” began disappearing, and the excuses the media and other Leftist propaganda outlets made for why teen pregnancy rates were falling. When they got their way and rates immediately began to rise again, they were notably silent, just as they were in the 1960’s when violent crime rates exploded because of similar loose-morals policies.

Republicans can more or less run the 1994 Contract With America campaign again, now, considering how many policy reversals the Dem Cong has pushed through in the last 3 years.

Don’t you know GWB is the father of all those DC kids? In the last eight years, he sneaked out of the White House whenever he could to father an extraordinary amount of children.

Family’s are enemies of the government. Ours is particularly effective at ruining families, as you can see from the last 80 years. (Social Security and Medicare also loosen familial bonds since with them, the government makes the family unnecessary in the declining years of a person’s life.)

It’s the same reason governments usually destroy or take over religions and other forms of social unions that the government cannot control. You might detect some signs of that as well in our Alinsky-ite Overlords.

It’s the same thing as atheism, the acceptable answer for the libtards is anything but what we’ve known all along.

Now, I’m not one to stigmatize any single mom with a scarlet letter but for cying out loud, what is the motivation to lock yourself in with a child, when they are children themselves and who cannot adequately provide, etc?

The mind becomes a porridge of mush, seaweed and fecal effluent that cannot grasp this “concept”.

Yet GovCo keeps throwing money at it, and guilts others into accepting it as “normal”.

I have a freind, he got married to a woman who’s teenage daughter got pregnant by a complete loser. He was in his early 20’s…she was NOT OF AGE. He has a police record and has done prison time for dealing dope.

But wait, there’s more.

Almost a year after this baby has arrived, she is pregnant again. This time by a different loser.

No, she’s not black.

Yes, she is a high school graduate and actually made pretty good grades.

Her answer to her mother about the “why”?

“I dunno…it just happened”.

Two more mouths to feed on the federal and state dime. I’m puzzled because intellectually, she’s not stupid …but she is emotionally immature, as you would expect an 18 year old to be.

I have never witnessed such irresponsibility this closely. Whenever she’s around, I just leave though as she’s not going to like anything I have to say. I have no sympathy…and I find it perhaps one of the most selfish acts to want to keep these children instead of putting them up for adoption where they would be doted on and given far more opportunity to become successful. Instead, this 18 year old has condemned them to a life of poverty, poor self-esteem, and statistically speaking, they stand a much greater chance of becoming criminals.

But you won’t hear that from the MSM. Nope…Mom is a “victim” of the system..and we must “raise them up” and not stereotype them or criticize them in any way.

For all the liberals touting civility and taking care of people, they don’t seem to grasp the concept of what a “life of poverty” entails. Nor can you get them to believe it if you took them to the state-run daycare center or child protective services.
