Palin Sells 1 Million Books In 2 Weeks

From an outraged Associated Press:

Palin book goes platinum

By Hillel Italie, AP National Writer

December 1, 2009

NEW YORK – "Going Rogue" has gone platinum.

HarperCollins spokeswoman Tina Andreadis said Tuesday that just two weeks after publication, Sarah Palin’s memoir has sold 1 million copies. The print run for "Going Rogue" has been increased again, to 2.8 million copies. The original printing was 1.5 million, then moved up to 2.5 million.

"Going Rogue" joins a select club of million-selling political memoirs that includes Barack Obama’s "The Audacity of Hope," Hillary Rodham Clinton’s "Living History" and Bill Clinton’s "My Life."

Funny how, according to the Associated Press, only Liberal Democrats seem to have sold 1 million books besides Sarah Palin.

(And you can bet that none of those Democrats sold a million books in less than two weeks.)

Here we were thinking conservative writers were very popular.

Here is another nice AP story,
Sheila Dixon, Baltimore mayor, convicted. AP wants you to guess the political party…

God Bless her! More power to her!!!

Does anyone know what her personal share of the book proceeds are? She deserves all she earned.

I say earned not just from the writing of the book, but from the problems she endured during the political aspects of her life. At all levels from very local to the national stage, she endured bias by so many “good ol’ boys” as well as a few “good ol’ gals” along the way.

Odd how the honest straight forward people always incur wrath from the scumbags that “run” the politics.

    You go girl!!!

BTW…I’ve been listening to our local conservative talk radio show, and someone called in to tell of a co-worker who went into the boss whining that he had a copy of her book on his desk…to read during lunch. She wanted it removed! Stupid…woman, (to keep from using another word)

That would totally happen where I work—there are 2 3/4 of us that are conservative; the rest raging dems. If any of us dared to bring that book into work to read during lunch, well, they’d arrange for us to work during lunch!!

(The 3/4 person sheepishily admits she voted for hopey/change and was unhappy about it by mid-February 2009! We’re working on her! )

Still #1 on Amazon. Glenn Beck’s is #13 (I really think it would have done better with a decent cover photo). All but one of those inbetween are fiction.

Palin is an unapologetic conservative – and that is why the liberals fear her.

Liberals remember what happened when Reagan stoked the conservative fires of our country. Palin is demonstrating she has the same ability.

    • Liberals Demise says:

I like how they down play her importance. As if she were a hillbilly from Arkansas.
OOps……did I type that out loud?

LD….:-D Perfect!… Or a peanut farmer from the back woods of Ga (and I love Ga…beautiful state) or a little muslim boy from Kenya…should I stop here or continue… ?

A family member runs a major chain bookstore. 300 copies out the door first day. Chain didn’t want to order much more (political, no doubt) but she prevailed and got another 500. Sold out of those in two days. So far, has sold 2,200 copies.

    In rural Western America.

    • jobeth says:

When I bought mine on the first day it was off the ONE card board display, and that was off to the side almost behind you when you walk in the door, where you would walk right by it if you weren’t carefull. I got the first book off that display. I did see another stack off behind a lot of stuff where someone was putting stickers on it for the % off with a store card.
No signs, no effort at all to let anyone know it was there. (Books-a-Million) Typical…bet if it was ol’ AlGore….someone would have shoved it right at you.

I think Ms. Palin has the wit and wisdom of Will Rogers, and the home grown past of Samuel Clemens. Mark Twain, for the libtards. Deflating egos of career politicians and would be kings, is a natural when your honest with your observations.
This is what I think links her to so many that love this country for what we have achieved. Our past is our future. Always striving, never settling and looking forward. Turn Ms. Palin lose. We’ll be better for it.
