Roger Stone thinks Palin is perfectly situated for a 2012 run. I could see a Palin / Jindal ticket. Sarah can certainly get the G.O.P. nod. Really, for gosh sakes, why can’t these “intellectual conservatives” give us some idea of who should run if not Sarah. And if their someone is Romney, tell us why exactly, since his most noteworthy “achievement” as a politician was to ruin health care in Massachusetts.

Sarah’s going to be a player whether she chooses to throw her hat in the ring or not. She is the voice of a significant number of G.O.P. voters and cannot be ignored, and can certainly be a power broker whether or not she is a party official.

What if Sarah goes in as a 3rd party candidate, and drains support from Romney/Huckabee/whomever…

I can’t go to the polls and vote for Romney/Huckabee so it doesn’t matter to me.

I would vote for Palin.

Romney? The man who in Massachusetts essentially pushed the health care bill the House is pushing now? Sorry, no.

Huckabee? Get serious.

That’s the problem – given their comments and actions, I can’t just vote for a Republican because they’re “not Obama.”

Jobeth is probably right about 2012 not being an option for her.

And 7 years is too long to be wandering around in the conservative media without a solid linkage to a political party. After a while you become a pundit rather than a viable candidate.

It’s an issue for Newt already, I think, and could become a problem for Romney and Hutch as well.

There is an easy fix for this. It works beautifully in the UK.

Loser Pays! The loser in a court case must pay for ALL costs and ALL attorny’s fees.

It would work in all areas from politics to large medical malpractice suits and everything in between.

It would go a long way to clearing the court’s calenders and get rid of stuff like Palin has had to endure. A lot more cases would be settled out of court. And a LOT more would never be filed in the first place.

How many of these so called ethics suits would have been filed if ms McCleod and her pals had been made to pay all the costs that Palin and the state of Alaska had to fork over?

My conclusion: Sarah is 100% Republican. She’s 110% Conservative.

She carries the shield of the 40 million who will defer to her automatically because we trust her. Rush just read a great Jefferson quote: “Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom.” Sarah hasn’t made those “sell-your-soul” deals like giving Ms. McCleod a job in this case. I trust her – many do, she’s without a doubt the coming ‘values candidate’ – and this will keep her clean and able to run the distance against whatever the wimpy media and left tries to do to her.

The Republicans will try and exclude her too. They already have. In the end the blue-blood RINOs will be forced to embrace her or not just lose their cocktail party Washington Elite lifestyle – they’ll lose their party.

All said, I renew my vote for your idea Bobby – that Sarah consider looking into a chair position for the RNC before reentering the campaign cycle.

Regarding 2012, I think it’s definitely on her plate if that’s how events pan out. Following the Obama impeachment and the subsequent investigation of the czars and half of congress, we might be looking at a special election altogether, so it may even be sooner. Either way I think she’ll be ready when the stars align.

If she runs, any right thinking person should vote for her. The GOP has become Democrat Lite at best. They don’t represent me, haven’t for some time now unfortunately they have been in most cases the lesser of two evils. Many other countries have more than 2 major political parties and they seem to get along. I’ve gained more respect for the parliamentary model of government lately. If we had that system, a third or even fourth party could gain control with a “majority” over the others and possibly do some good.

Another thing that sticks in my craw when it comes to the presidential election process is the primary system. Vermont doesn’t get to vote until Super Tuesday. In the case of last years election the candidate I would have voted for (Guiliani sp?) was already out of it by then because my neighbors in NH and those flatlanders in Iowa didn’t like him. We need 1 national primary so everyone, everywhere in this great country of ours gets to choose. If this system had been employed last year, I think the Hildabeast would have cleaned Oblah-blah’s clock and maybe, just maybe McLame might have had a chance. Not that I think by any stretch of imagination he would have been a good president, however I’m positive in my military mind that he would have been light years ahead of what we have now.

As great as I think she is, and would be comfortable with her in the presidents chair right now, she still needs to convince a lot more than her conservative base. She has lots of work to do.

I think once the middle of the roaders and the idiots who keep their heads buried unless it kicks them in the butt…get that kick in the butt by the stuff Obalmy is doing to the country they will begin to be more ready to hear what she is saying.

I believe this is what is behind her “talking for those politicians with conservative values”. Remember she will talk to both sides..Repub and Dem. She is getting herself out there. By talking for conservative minded dems she is reaching people who would otherwise not hear anything of her except what the MSM would tell them.

She is crazy like a fox.

2012 is a bit soon. 2016 will be her year unless something bad happens. By then we can only pray the Repubs will come back to their conservative base!

This is my humble opinion. But what ever she does, I have confidence it will be done well. So my opinion really doesn’t matter :-D

Why then would they keep going after her? Why waste time on an “empty headed light-weighted nobody?

As I said…I smell real fear of this woman! They know full well she will undo every socialist thing they have done in the past at her first opportunity. They also know she isn’t going to go away.

You just have to know that this “job seeker” would have been the spy in her office if she had gotten her job. You don’t just go this ballistic over a job turn down, unless you had an all together ‘nother agenda than just a job.
