Ironic that so many Americans celebrate this day by performing actions Obama’s Cap and Trade will outlaw or make very expensive – driving vacations, driving RVs, going out on their motor-powered boats, enjoying fireworks or, frankly, just breathing – all actions that emit CO2.

Can’t have that, you know.

Once again, if the Democrats were fielding an “incompetent” candidate who had “no hope” of winning, would prominent Republicans be out telling Democrats what they need to do to win?

Why then do Republicans listen when the Democrats try to smear the woman they fear most?

No, if you can’t out and out destroy your opponent, the liberal playbook calls for depicting them as an incompetent fool over and over until the image sticks.

Look at what they spent decades trying to do with Reagan and of course with George W. Bush. Note a pattern in what they’re doing with Palin?

(Though I do agree with them somewhat when it comes to Bush and economic issues, given he started the whole TARP mess, but I digress…)

Kerry was condemned by his entire chain of command. His only supporters from his time in the military were the guys from his boat that he bribed by housing them in Four Season hotels so he could restrict their access to the press. He was the only one of 6,000 Swift Boat veterans to take the 3 Purple Heart early-out and the “wounds” happened in 4 months. He never missed a day of duty. For at least one, and probably two of the “wounds”, the treating doctor refused treatment. He has never released his official records.

What a joke. The guy is a criminal and a traitor.

But sinners can reform, and if there is clear evidence of the reform, over a long period of time, one can again begin to trust.

If Romney can demonstrate that he believes in and will champion the principles of conservatism, he should be given serious consideration.

Personally, I think he is the leading GOP candiate at this point, and a good one. His personal qualities count for a lot, and his business background is a plus. What he did in Massachusetts should be viewed in the context of that looney state. His two big negatives in 08 were his religion and being “tainted” as a businessman. But now that the Moron has shown us the horrors of the alternative, those negatives can be turned into positives.

A better candidate may come along, but nobody should eliminate him at this point.

I love to watch a good debate…even if only one side is armed with the facts. Of course that is when it’s the most fun.

Keep up the great work. One lib at a time…you are making a dent in their numbers…That’s no easy task! :-D

With Palin, and now Liz Cheney coming out into the political world…I think we are going to see more strong, fearless conservative women coming out of the woodwork. I for one am thrilled to see it.

But I also don’t want this to turn out to be a “woman” only thing. Many out there need to understand women are people…just as capable and fallible as a man. Race or sex shouldn’t enter into the play…even though it does for some ungodly reason.

I’m looking for qualifications…not a woman…or a man. Not White or Black or Hispanic or……

Qualifications are the important thing.

Obalmy is a perfect example of putting one’s race (or sex) in front of qualifications!

Beyond that…I love both of the names you mentioned in addition to Palin. I am just concerned that they have the experience issues they held Palin up for. We have a few years to see. I think its going to be fun watching the developments of the next few years.

There is a vast difference between crimes committed (such as Senator Ted Kennedy killing a woman) and crimes imagined – such as all the lies, innuendo and distortions leveled at the Bush Administration and more importantly at Sarah Palin. If there was even a grain of truth – they’d be in a courtroom and if you had any decency, guts or intelligence you’d know it. If were true – why were there no indictments? Come on – answer that one – and of all the petty ‘ethics’ and ‘lawsuits’ against Sarah Palin – all have been dismissed as the trivial garbage that they are.

And oh, btw – JMG – you do not have a clue as to what constitutes – truth, justice, and the American Way – at all.

Yeah and Kerry got his payback for the way he came back from Vietnam and went around the country and lied about what he saw his fellow soldiers doing over there. Libs want to argue about Kerry’s dubious wounds and medals, but that is not what drew the wrath of the Swift Boat Vets who served with him. Had Kerry come back from Vietnam and went about his business and kept his mouth shut, there would never have been any reason for the SB Vets to attack him in the 04 race. But it served his political ambitions to run his mouth and spew out lies in order to gain sympathy and votes from the anti-war crowd. So his lies came back to haunt him.

How would you feel if you worked beside somebody for 4 months and then they turned around and told stories about you that made you out to look like a monster?

I hope what happened to Kerry in 04 is “seared into his memory”, just like the big lie that he tried to sear into everybody’s minds that he was in Cambodia, Christmas Eve 1968.

To me, the libs represent the darkside of thought AND action. Gov. Palin brings light and the little denizens of the left are screaming in fear and panic and ignorance (ignorance is their signature – and they’re so proud of it). She’s not going to let the lefties bully her and her family. She has a plan. If it includes public office, I certainly do not know. But she’s a fighter and she’s going to fight the bullies in one way or the other, and the rest of us will help her. That’s IMHO.

Kerry, did nothing for the POW. His sympathy was to N. Vietnam, and insisted the government apoligize, and for America to lift the trade embargo in place tring to get our POW’s back. He was for forgetting the POW’s and lifting the embargo.
