Patrick Kennedy Blames Vitriolic Rhetoric

Patrick Kennedy points finger at Sarah Palin

By Brett Coughlin
January 10, 2011

Patrick Kennedy, who lost two uncles to assassins’ bullets, says there’s an obvious connection between the violent rhetoric of today’s politics and the massacre in Tucson.

Perhaps it should be noted that both of Mr. Kennedy’s uncles were killed by leftist radicals. Lee Harvey Oswald was a radical Communist (who had earlier hoped to kill Richard Nixon). Sirhan Sirhan is a radical Palestinian.

“When Sarah Palin puts targets on people’s districts? Or you have 10,000 signs on the mall during the healthcare battle saying ‘Bury Obamacare with Kennedy’? When the vitriol and the rhetoric is so violent, we have to connect consequences to that.” said Kennedy, who left congress two weeks ago after serving eight terms representing Rhode Island.

Note that Mr. Kennedy isn’t blaming Jared Loughner. Or mental illness. He’s not blaming drugs.

No, instead he is blaming a website that Mr. Loughner surely never saw and political campaigns that Mr. Loughner had nothing to do with.

Saturday’s tragedy touches on both elements of Kennedy’s new mission in life — helping someone after they’ve been afflicted by a brain injury and ensuring universal access to mental health services, which might have prevented Jared Lee Loughner’s apparent paroxysm of madness

So why isn’t Mr. Kennedy decrying how easy it was for Mr. Loughner to get easy access to mind-altering drugs? Why isn’t he blaming the school system and the local police, who did not make sure Loughner got help with his mental illness?

Why blame Sarah Palin or the Tea Party? (This is a rhetorical question, of course.)

In Loughner, Kennedy sees an object lesson for the media and others. “When I hear terms about the alleged shooter in this case, perjorative [sic] terms like psycho, lunatic, or they say ‘He’s crazy.’ These are terms we use to describe someone’s mental health?” he asked, his voice booming over the telephone.

Heaven forefend that we use such pejorative (sic) terms about a mass murderer. But of course it’s perfectly fine to demonize conservatives, who happen to be the majority in this country.

“This is a rare opportunity to take all the stigma and stereotyping, and take the terms like crazy and psycho, that are being bandied about by reputable people who should know better, and use this as an opportunity to have some enlightened debate about better public policy that can help respond to the real need amongst many families whose family members are part of that very small subset of individuals who suffer from violent, paranoid schizophrenia.” …

Notice that Mr. Kennedy has effectively declared that Mr. Loughner suffers from "violent, paranoid schizophrenia," when he is not a psychiatrist and Mr. Loughner has not yet been diagnosed as a schizophrenic by any competent authority.

Also notice that Mr. Kennedy wants to de-stigmatize psychopathic behavior. But he does want to stigmatize long used political rhetoric.

What a genius.

Once a kennedy, always a kennedy. It’s not their massive wealth, or that they are the “royalty” of our society here in the US. No, in fact, they are the quintessential example of how to do organized crime correctly. The Bonanos, the Gottis, they got it wrong and didn’t lubricate the right hands. Joe kennedy did. He knew who to buy. And even that didn’t help him personally when it came to FDR, though it kept the authorities off his back. So, his descendants are of the same DNA and know how to make it all work for them..but…there’s a curse on kennedy males, fortunately. And it has nothing to do with vitriolic rhetoric.

The way to get to these lunatics is to ask them how long it has been since they have been this happy. It drives them crazy.

Me thinks ol’ Patrick has been dipping into the medicine cabinet again.
    “Bury ObamaCare with Kennedy”
Now there’s an idea that can be played with!!

And today’s Double Speak lesson here on Sesame Street…

Thanks to God that we aren’t living in Bob Bork’s America. (end sarcasm)

  6. Moose Breath says:

Why isn’t the media reminding us that not all Tea Partiers are violent? Aren’t they afraid of the dreaded “Anti-Tea Party Backlash!”

The media should be out interviewing ‘peaceful’ folks with Palin bumper stickers who ‘fear for their safety’.

Americans recognize corrupt political hackery when they see it, and they punish the perpetrators. But if an investigation were launched, Kennedy and the other ‘progressive’-crypto- Marxists would be found five times more guilty of inciting violence and hatred. They’re the experts on hate speech. These tactics are straight out of the Saul Alinsky/Stalinist/Leninist playbook for communist revolution; which Hillary Clinton based her graduate thesis on. The thesis is “sealed” from all scrutiny. I’d love to know what she wrote.

Chris Matthews interviewed Alinsky last year, and called him a “hero of the Left”.

Patrick Kennedy blasting & screaming at Congress for not doing their jobs, finger jabbing assualts

Patrick Kennedy “targeting” & “target” word rantings turns to screaming and hand jabbing assaults as he refuses to heed to order in the court.

(note Congress laughes when they give blurry eyed Patrick Kennedy 5 minutes on the floor.
At end he is screaming in outbursts over the orders to stop.
Kennedy’s spew of commments is requested by other members NOT to become part off the record.

Sounds a lot like how his classmates described Loughner in math class…..is this person armed?…wait, they use a car don’t they?

In 1990, I was interviewing several private investigation firms to discover what happened to a business deal suddenly and disastrously gone south. One of those firms, highly recommended because they were staffed with a lot of ex-Air Force intel officers, suddenly withdrew their name from consideration. I asked the firm I hired what was up with that and got the reply that they’d been bought off the market by the Kennedy Family.

It was akin to buying Wackenhut (GS4) off the market and privatizing them for a family.

Patrick is clearly the product of in-breeding and genetic stock gone sour mixed with liquor, drugs and head injuries, but whoever is running the Kennedy Show is not to be trifled with.

JohnMG says there’s an obvious connection between the distilled spirits industry and the issuance of drivers’ licenses in Massachusettes.

Once again, Patrick Kennedy provides proof-positive that a mind is a terrible thing to waste. He appears a victim (poster child?) of fetal alcohol syndrome. I think he’s dangerous. Get him off the street. Sedate him. Seal his records.

    But first, seal his mouth!
