Code Pink, VFP Now Stalking Nancy Pelosi
From the local San Francisco CBS affiliate KCBS:
Peace Activists Get the Boot in SF
Friday, 23 March 2007
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KCBS/AP) — Just hours before the House is expected to vote on an Iraq funding bill, police rousted demonstrators camped outside Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s Pacific Heights residence.
Gone are the tents, tables, banners, candles and flowers. All that remained early this morning of the so-called “Camp Pelosi” was a handful of people sleeping in vehicles.
“We’re going to set up camp again tomorrow, as soon as we check with the lawyers,” said a protester who identified himself with the group Veterans for Peace. “We’re pretty sure we’re right that they can’t just come, and they claim they had a neighbor complain.”
Most of the group has been present for a dozen or so days, opposing any additional funding for the war…
Gee, this is only being reported by the local TV station.
Can you imagine the media uproar if Cindy Sheehan had been booted out of Crawford?
Update!
From the San Francisco Chronicle:
Protesters continue vigil outside Pelosi’s S.F. home Marisa Lagos, Chronicle Staff Writer
Friday, March 23, 2007
(03-23) 12:57 PDT SAN FRANCISCO — A small group of protesters continued a vigil at Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s Pacific Heights home today, where members of an anti-war group have been posted for 12 days.
The protesters were demanding that Pelosi de-fund the Iraq war, and said they were disappointed with today’s vote in the House of Representatives, where members approved a $124 million spending bill that sets an Aug. 31, 2008, date for withdrawing all U.S. forces from Iraq.
Toby Blome, the lead organizer of "Camp Pelosi," said the group would hold a candlelight vigil tonight at sunset.
Blome said after today’s vote, the protesters, who are members of Code Pink: Women for Peace, will continue some sort of vigil at the House Speaker’s home.
"We’re not going away," she said.
"We want to remind her that Americans are watching her closely."The group will hold another gathering Saturday at Alta Plaza Park nearby, she said, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Of course we all know by now that Code Pink and the VFP are above the law.
Well, why not?
Stabbing our soldiers in the back is a noble cause.

Uh, What about FREE SPEECH SanFranGranNan? These poor pathetic people are just ‘expressing’ themselves - give them a break.
What a crock. At least, as the anti-war mongers cross those lines and start to get arrested - a lot of the lesser whinners might just re-think ‘protesting’ if it is going to get them arrested.
Maybe SanFranGranNan realized after the Gathering of Eagles on the 17th - she realized that the anti-war mongers are just paper tigers and not up to a real confrontation.
I am really wondering if Denver (is it?) is re-considering holding the 2008 DNC convention - it could just turn into another 1968 redo - since all these freaks seem caught in the 60s timezone.

Not only that, she had them dragged from her office and arrested too.

The tide has turned, in less than 4 months. From sweraing in to office, to policies against earmarks, to “supporting the troops” , etc - Dems have now done a 180 on their own base - within an extremely emotional issue.
The belief that Americans “voted to get out of Iraq in Nov” - has been a tired myth the Dems attempted to portray. 2 specific races, among others, had Iraq as the main “battlezone” - lets review those actual results.
Lieberman was bastardized by his own party (D) for supporting the war, lost the primary and then did the “impossible” - ran as an Independant and won his state, based on “pro Iraq”.
Cynthia McKinney used it as her main race baiting campaign, supported by The New Black Panthers and others- the idea “blacks get killed at a higher rate” and we needed to get out of Iraq, including her relationship with Muslim radical American groups. Hank Johnson - another black candidate, and former DeKalb County Commissioner - beat her handidly, 59% - 41% in a run off and ran on a straight forward campaign, without race baiting and didnt fall for the “blacks die more” trap, though recently in 2007 - he has called for troops to leave, he never ran on that platform. Johnson now represents Georgia’s 4th Congressional district.
The far left has always wanted us out of any war, but the swing or “moderate folks” both support the war, though agree strategies needed to change, not a bail out.
The Bill just passed (10 minutes ago) - but for symbollic reasons - Senate isnt a slam dunk (recent polls have it being defeated) to the tune the Senate proposed a $120B appropriation yesterday and Bush has said all along he would veto the current House Bill.
More ineffective pandering, disguised as “government” from the majority party, who are unable to gain a concensus in the narrow majority Senate.
So what we have is a House that appears empowered - and “in control” who are doing nothing more than wasting time, money and unable to effectively influence a majority, outside of their own corridors - through “symbolic” talking points. As our troops wait for money, supplies and additional troop support.

AP Praising Pelosi
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/200.....co/us_iraq
Check out this bogus “angle” from the AP:
Start with the title “House Oks Timetable for Troops in Iraq” - I love when a parties “intent” or “goal” usurps the other provisions…
“A triumph for Ms. Pelosi”…
“Labored to get the votes” - through pork projects they denounced, yet AP doesnt mention, more below
“The American people have lost faith in the Presidents conduct of this war” - more grandstanding , based on a myth.
“an argument that was aided when they added more than $20 billion in domestic spending in an effort to lure votes. ” - through pork expenditures, though AP does not mention the words “pork” and expenditure”, nor do they mention the Dems “anti expenditure bill” passed earlier this year.
And no mention of the far left protesting against this, sans a quick quib.
And lastly - MOre Dems crossed over to vote “no” than Reps crossing over to vote “yes”
Amazing…

Great analogy of this “Rules for thee BUT NOT for me” liberal drive by media hypocrisy SG! You can bet your life if this would have been Cindy Sheehan being booted off of Crawford property the drive by media would have been on it like a tight shirt!
Seeing we are on the subject of war protesters being driven off of property . . . please allow me to make a prediction: For those of us old enough to remember, it was 40 years ago next August when liberal leftist anti-war activists brought unrest and anarchy to the streets in Chicago during the infamous 1968 Democratic Convention. Those peaceniks of the 1960’s were loosely organized and not really funded at all. Another fact one has to take into consideration when looking back at this dark moment in our country’s history is the fact that this took place BEFORE multi-channel 24-hour news TV. Most of the BS that was being committed by the peaceniks was not seen by the majority of the American public . . . all they saw was (as the media spun it) Mayor Daley’s “jackbooted-goosestepping brown shirted” police beating the protesters . . . and anyone who didn’t obey the command to disperse on the highlights the next night on the evening news.
That being said . . . I predict that with today’s 2nd generation moonbat anti-war, anti-Bush, anti-America peaceniks, as organized and as well funded by Soros and others as they are, will bring a level of violence and chaos to the streets of Denver next August that has never been seen in this country. Denver will burn next summer . . . just how bad it burns and more importantly how will the liberal leftist loving main stream media will cover it and spin it will remain to be seen.

‘Mayor Daley’s “jackbooted-goosestepping brown shirted” police beating the protesters ‘
Did I ever mention Mayor Daley’s version of the democrat party is why I am a democrat?
Pro-police, pro-military, anti-hippy
March 23rd, 2007 at 4:42 pm
Sorry navycopjoe - that is not what I called the police and National Guard troops in the streets of Chicago that summer, that’s what the liberal media spun it for years. Guess I should have worded it better.
As far as Democrats, the last one that I even know that even remotely resembles anything of what I remember Democrats is Joe Lieberman . . . and his party chose a liberal socialist over him, a former vice presidential nominee, in his own state primaries! Shows who is running the Democratic party these days!
March 23rd, 2007 at 5:07 pm
LOL, I knew you weren’t call them that. Mayor Daley didn’t play at all, we need more leaders like that.
As far as the party goes, where did all of these freaks come from?
I know there has to be some sane non-liberals out there.

Middlemann ,It seems to me that you are the one who is misinformed.
Try getting your news from other sources than the MSM and the DNC, sorry to repeat myself.
As I recall, Clarke was caught in several lies in his book.
March 24th, 2007 at 10:41 am
Actually Bin Laden has alot of allies, And middlemann just stood up as one,
And every stab wound our soldiers feel is from people like you,
Heres your reality check, Do you think cutting funds from the troops will make them safer,
Will it make anyone safer?
No just another liberal exposed.
