US Congress leader Pelosi calls Bush ‘a total failure’
WASHINGTON (AFP) - US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Thursday called President George W. Bush “a total failure” who “has no ideas,” in an interview with CNN.
Responding to stinging criticism from Bush on the Democratic leadership in both houses of Congress and the slow pace of the legislative agenda, as Congress prepares for its one-month summer recess in August, Pelosi let loose:
“You know, God bless him, bless his heart, the president of the United States, a total failure, losing all credibility with the American people on the economy, on the war, on energy, you name the subject.”
Pelosi, 68, said the House and Senate were busy “trying to sweep up after (Bush’s) mess over and over and over again … The president knows it. He needs something to talk about. Because he has no ideas.” …
The festivities begin around the 2:40 mark.
Well, failure is one thing Ms. Pelosi should know. Though it is odd how she cannot recognize it in herself.
What has she ever accomplished again?

I would take great pleasure in seeing her ousted when her term is up. she is appallingly ignorant of just who she serves. The American People she always crows as her reason for doing all the great things she does….is less than nine percent of the country. That means 91% of all Americans view her as worse then Bush. She is apparently a democrat to the end. But God, how clueless can one be? Even democrats think she is worthless. Well, the Snag will bring change to Washington…..a change of drawers, hopefully.

She did manage to lead Congress to a single-digit approval rating. Heck, that has to count for something.

Well, if one can call an approval rating of 9, that as Diane said, is something.
However, also remember she is stopping any drilling for oil, especially where known oil reserves are located. All to help us who are feeling, really feeling the pinch of over $4.00 a gallon gas. Then don’t forget the “defeat” in Iraq. She and Dingy Harry have long hoped, prayed, and did everything possible to bring about defeat in Iraq. Watch it, as they will soon claim credit for the victory.
Maybe, as has been pointed out, she needs to look at a mirror. Democrats, however, have been very good at pushing the blame to someone else. This is especially true when their policies have blown up in their face, and we are left with the debris of such policies.

Tell you what, Nancy, we’ll put a list of what Bush promised in 2004 when running for reelection against what you promised and we’ll see who’s fulfilled more of them and determine the “total failure” that way.
Better yet, let’s ask the morons in your district and Kos what they think of what you’ve accomplished.
How bad of a failure do you have to be to provoke a run for your seat by Cindy Sheehan?!?!?

And Congressional approval rating under Ms. Pelosi is what, 9%? The lowest in our entire history!
I think who the “total failure” is glares to all who look.

ok, we all like to point out she is actually a very poor leader….but there HAS to be something she and her house have done in the past whatever years….(seems like forever). Does anyone know of any positive legislation she has passed, or the house has passed during her tenure? For that matter, have they passed anything of merit? If someone has the time, please, post it so we can see how well they have done to earn such stellar marks from the public.

Ah Sheehanjihad - these two will examplify exactly why Ms Pelosi’s 110th Congress will go down in American history as the Do Less Than Nothing Congress:
9-07 - Honest Leadership and Open Government Act - ##($)$*(#* Oh well I tried to come up with a comment -
12-07 - Energy Indemendence and Security Act - simply put WTF and it does not seem to be working at all.
So here goes:
2003 - oil at $25/barrel
2004 - oil at $50/barrel
2005 - oil at $60/barrel
2006 - oil at $75/barrel
2007 - oil goes from $60/ barrel (at start of year; also start of Dem lead Congress) to
$99/barrel at end of year
2008 - oil goes from $99/barrel to $147/barrel (and the year isn’t over yet)
$87/barrel plus since Jan 2007 -$35/barrel plus from 2003 until Dec 2006 - So tell me - exactly who is to blame for this horrid rise in oil prices? Seems to me, until Ms Pelosi took over - there was a rise, but it wasn’t quite as bad - actually was quite gradual and normal -
No wonder Congress has a 9% - bet they get down even farther since they have no intention of doing a damn thing to help this crisis - as they believe it will get them a Dem President.

IF PELOSI resigned as Speaker, I would be willing to wager nearly everything I have, that the Market would go up at least 300 points…
And the cost of other items, such as OIL, would lower in similar fashion.
These markets are all subconsciously aware of the Liberal Folly in the House and Senate.
The threats of Higher Taxation, added Regulations, etc., are all encouraging the increases in speculation.
It is no wonder, the Markets are nervous with this inept Democrat Congress, and the potential Liberal McCain or Obama as President.
