Pelosi Doesn’t Congratulate Republicans

Speaker (pro tem) Nancy Pelosi released the following statement on the midterm elections, via ABC News:

Pelosi Statement On Midterm Elections

“Over the last four years, the Democratic Majority in the House took courageous action on behalf of America’s middle class to create jobs and save the country from the worst economic catastrophe since the Great Depression.

“Our Members and candidates ran remarkable campaigns led by the superb leadership of  DCCC Chairman Chris Van Hollen.

“The outcome of the election does not diminish the work we have done for the American people.  We must all strive to find common ground to support the middle class, create jobs, reduce the deficit and move our nation forward.”

Pelosi lied, Democrat House seats died.

Notice that Ms. Pelosi neglected to congratulate John Boehner, or the Republicans in general on their victories. She also gave no indication that she would stay on in Congress, to enjoy the fruits of her labors.

She is as gracious in defeat as she is in victory.

I’m sure the DNC is readying recounts in as many of these races as possible, so to her she hasn’t lost yet…

    • preparing4theworst says:

If memory serves correctly there ARE some states that store ballots in car trunks until needed….by the way, did New York and Illinois ever get those ballots out to their servicemen/women or are they just going to fill them the way they think they should be…..and just in time for the recounts too…

    • Adam Moreira says:

Answering preparing4theworst’s question: I don’t believe either state did in time. New York’s case is different from Illinois because there were only 49 days between Primary day and Election Day in New York State (only Alaska had less time, and primary days are reserved two years in advance). New York, however, got a waiver; Illinois did not (in 25 counties) and was just too lazy.

In NY, it could become a problem in 2013 (2012 has NY’s primary on Super Duper Tuesday).

Lying ’till the end. She said they would keep their majorities, and she would retain her speakership. What a delusional woman. I can’t wait for Boehner to rip the gavel out of her cold, dead hands.

Maybe he will rear his head back, (for the cameras) close his eyes, and have gaping hippo-mouth like he never heard anything so hilarious in his life, a la Pelosi victory-style.

      “What a delusional woman”

That is the best description I’ve heard for her…in addition to idiotic, false, lying, creepy, botox, Piglosi, and a multitude of other accurate tags.

But delusional is still the most perfect. She goes on as if reality does not even exist.

By the way, I am currently watching Obalmy squirm right now. Sad little boy. But as sad as he appears, I don’t trust his “humble’ behavior one bit.

He Lies. He’s an actor. He’s like the thief who says he’s sorry…but is only sorry for getting caught. If he ever gets his way again, his REAL “I Won” behavior would be back so fast you wouldn’t know what hit.

Well….WE won…this time. But we…the people…will boot everyone who doesn’t “get it”.. Repubs and Dems alike.

Keep watchin’….The base nature of career politicians have not changed. They need watching and the boot if needed.

Still, this is only the beginning…There is a mountain of on going work to do.

Constitutional and conservative fiscal policies that lead to smaller gov. is the main goal.

But I can take a breath now without anger for the first time since he took office. I’m continuing to be wary though.

Wanting to “see how the sausage was made” in voting poll places I worked a precinct yesterday. What an education I got. I got a plethora of insights on who and why people vote…and just as important HOW they approach the ballot..

The range of intellect was amazing. Some of what I learned only made me know I/we are correct about many things. Things that shouldn’t be but are, in this land of the free. Things that cannot be changed without removing rights and changing our American uniqueness. But also I learned a few things that will help me understand more in the future.

It might be a good idea for most of us who love our country to do it at least once. I recommend it.

Things, while still not right, are headed in the right direction…we just must NEVER allow ourselves or neighbors to fall asleep again. The wolf looms close to the door.

To dream a bit…wouldn’t it be great if he completely lost it and quit!

If Obamy “punishing your enemies” isn’t the signature moment of this era, then Piglosi marching with the giant gavel through a sea of citizens trying with all her might to create a racial incident will be.

It is so hard to decide which the scumbags is at the bottom of the barrel. Botox certainly deserves a special award, particularly given her age and mental condition.

  3. Enthalpy says:

That the woman continues to remain above room temperature is no doubt a great disappointment to millions.

  4. BillK says:

Am I the only one who sees the GOP victory in the House as nothing more than Obama being backed up by facts when he continues to blame Republicans for “obstructing” his policies?

Before anyone with a brain would look back and think “Huh? The Democrats have majorities in both houses!”

Now the analysts will be able to say “See, Obama was right.”

(Yes, I know, mere facts didn’t stop them before…)

  5. mr_bill says:

As graceful in defeat as she is in victory. What a disgrace to the country.

  6. canary says:

Fox kept reporting last night Pelosi was quote “fired”.

  7. Tater Salad says:

Look what happened up in Minnesota though:

Seems that up in Minnesota they vote with burqa’s on at the polling booths:

    • Adam Moreira says:

State issue – perhaps they should have a law requiring photo identification – which requires that the face be shown.

Also in Minnesota, those could well mean the difference between a Democratic or a Republican governor – that race is headed for a recount.

  8. Mae says:

You will remember how gracious to a fault President Bush was toward Mrs. Pelosi when she ascended her throne. She sat and beamed when he recounted her father’s story and her success. It was Bush’s way and that’s fine when the country does not hang in the balance. It is totally unproductive when we are in dire circumstances.

She never reciprocated like Dianne Feinstein did (not that I’m a great fan of Dianne’s). But Nancy has absolutely no good character. She lies about her Catholic beliefs, lies about Obamacare, lies about everything. So glad to see her defeat. So well-deserved.

  9. canary says:

Tater salad/ thank you so much. It’s the photo below in Michigan that made me flinch. By the purse I assume the all dressed in black covered person is a woman. Quite “a stack of voter ballots” she’s carrying.I want to know why I am seeing a trend in the muslim women wearing this black halloween garb. Aside all black, maybe a dash of white on the head, or one that had an entire white head covering. They tend to be very aggressive for dressing more modest (we are told the more they are hidden, the stricter their religious beliefs). Yet, they don’t hide, or stay in the background, walk behind the man. On the bright side I noticed alot of Republican wins in Michigan. That’s a stunner.
