Pelosi/Obama: Lower Costs, More Jobs

From a press release from Speaker Nancy Pelosi:

Pelosi Statement on New Report That Health Reform Will Create 4 Million More Jobs Over the Next Decade

Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi released the following statement on a new report released today by the Center for American Progress that shows that health insurance reform will create up to 4 million more jobs over the next decade than would be created without reform.  The report finds that health care reform could increase the number of jobs in the United States by about 250,000 to 400,000 per year over the coming decade.

“We know that health insurance reform will help save lives, save money, and save Medicare.   But Americans need to know that reform will actually save and create millions more jobs—lessening the burden of skyrocketing costs on small and medium-sized  businesses all across America.  Reform is critical to the health of our economy and to the health of our people.”

Of course it is preposterous for Ms. Pelosi to cite the Center for American Progress as an authority. They are a radical left Soros front who have been propagandizing for this and other socialist programs for years.

And, honestly, who is fool enough to believe that healthcare reform will simultaneously create more jobs and lower costs? A claim that defies all laws of economics?

They will simply say anything.

As Lenin taught them, words are just tools to power.

Obama’s demented “AIDA” policy now is America’s problem on top of everything else. He is bringing America to its knees economically.

    Pelosi is right.

There will be at least 6 million jobs in the 100+ beaurocracies with missions to shuffle papers and order doctors to do stuff that kills old white people. Acorn and Union people will staff the vast majority of these “positions”. Like the TSA, they will pretend that they are doing something useful.

Britain’s NHS beaurocracy has about 1.5 million jobs. That doesn’t count doctors and other health care professionals. We will have 4 to 5 times that number.

That cost will be layered on top of the real cost of medical care. 6 million new beaurocrats at $125K per year will add 150 billion to the tax burden, or about $1,500 per year to somebody who pays $10K in income taxes per year today. This will effectively redistibut the 150 billion from qualified Americans to ex-welfare cheats.

But medical costs themselves will go down.
    – unqualified and dangerous people will flood the medical workforce market and accept lower wages.
    – innovation will stop on a dime. Private research will drop to zero within a few years. Only government sponsored research will continue. And that will be controlled by the same people who control Global Warming Science. Millions of lives will be shortened because of this factor.
    – the best, most qualified, highest paid medical practitioners will quit. They will be forced to accept lower payments and will opt out. This is happening in droves today as more and more doctors refuse to accept Medicare. Today, they can stay in business. After the HealthScare passes, they will retire.
    – quality checks across the board will decrease, resulting in hundreds of thousands of unnecessary deaths per year. There will be so much pressure to cut costs that this is 100% inevitable. And the issue will be exacerbated by the outflux of qualified professionals and the influx of 3rd world level people.

Of course, none of this will affect in any way Pelosi’s, Obamy’s or any other politician’s family.

They will have the commissar-level medical service.

And for those of you who think what I say is a fantasy……it has happened more than once. Notably, in the USSR, which the US press lauded as the best medicine in the world. Go check the stats for longevity in Russia. It will take a while to get there in the USA, but we WILL get there.

Agree. Except with the quit part. More, it will manifest itself as doctors retire, less qualified and less overall numbers of people will want to become medical professionals.

For a doctor to just quit implies that they have no bills to pay and don’t mind working at walmart (or something) to live on. Given that, GovCo will most likely come up with a “sliding scale” for senior doctors from the “old system” where they will get mucho bucks from the prolitariat while younger, freshly graduated interns will get a “B” scale….much like the Airlines used to do…and with equal results.

But in the overall long run, Pro, you are absolutely correct and the flaming libtards cannot see the forest for all the “free stuff”. Nor can they properly identify that it’s not about “health” at all until they find themselves being royally screewwwwwwwed by the new system they so ignorantly wish for. But even then, it will most likely be Bush’s fault.

Why is it that in the 1960’s the hippies said not to trust the government but now that they ARE the government, they SO want the people to trust them? (rhetorical)

Well, this is what happens when you give a bottle of scotch and the car keys to a sixteen year old.

I don’t know what is happening.

Our local medical office has posted 9A-12N hours Saturday morning, we had to stop in this morning to inquire about a referral, dang HMOs. At 9:15 it was locked up tight.

It used to be a walk in center, open all day everyday.

Are there proportionately more doctors or are we healthier?

Can some one tell me what day of the week will be set aside for Leeching?
I feel some bad blood coming on!

  5. joeblough says:

Well, if they succeed in jamming that fascist crap through, we’re likely to be needing more undertakers before long.

Beyond that, I don’t think there’s a single half-awake person in the country who believes a damn thing that Mad Nancy says.

  6. canary says:

It will take 4 million people to collect money until 2013 before anyone sees a penny. Or does it take 4 million to aid in unlawful seizure of our body’s.

  7. AmericanIPA says:

This new state-run healthcare is so dreamy. I hear it will also end impotence and erectile dysfunction.

  8. Chuckk says:

There will be increases in bureaucrats numbers, as well as doctors specializing in botox and boob-jobs. Anyone else, probably not.
