Petraeus Mistress: Benghazi Attack Aimed At CIA

From Israel’s Arutz Sheva:

Broadwell: Petraeus Knew of Benghazi Plea for Help

Writer allegedly involved with ex-CIA chief said he knew "within 24 hours" of CIA annex’s request for reinforcements.

By Gil Ronen | November 11, 2012

Military expert Paula Broadwell, who was allegedly improperly involved with resigned CIA Director Gen. David Petraeus, confirmed in October that the CIA annex in Benghazi asked for reinforcements when the consulate came under attack on September 11. She also acknowledged that "there was a failure in the system."

Broadwell was speaking at her alma mater, the University of Denver, on October 26. Her lecture, which is on YouTube under the title "Alumni Symposium 2012 Paula Broadwell," now has added value, because based on the recent disclosures, it can now be assumed that she indeed knew exactly what it was that Petraeus knew about the attack.

Maybe Mrs. Broadwell should be called to testify this week?

Broadwell confirmed the reports on Fox News that the CIA annex asked for a special unit, the Commander in Chief’s In Extremis Force, to come and assist it. She also said that the force could indeed have reinforced the consulate, and that Petraeus knew all of this, but was not allowed to talk to the press because of his position in the CIA.

Note the use of the word "confirmed." (Below we will be told she was confused by the Fox News reports.)

In any case, this is quite a damning claim, since Petraeus did brief Congressmen soon after the attack in a closed door session, and he does not seem to have told them any of this.

"The challenge has been the fog of war, and the greater challenge is that it’s political hunting season, and so this whole thing has been turned into a very political sort of arena, if you will," she said. "The fact that came out today is that the ground forces there at the CIA annex, which is different from the consulate, were requesting reinforcements.

"They were requesting the – it’s called the C-in-C’s In Extremis Force – a group of Delta Force operators, our very, most talented guys we have in the military. They could have come and reinforced the consulate and the CIA annex.

Now, I don’t know if a lot of you have heard this but the CIA annex had actually taken a couple of Libyan militia members prisoner, and they think that the attack on the consulate was an attempt to get these prisoners back. It’s still being vetted.

"The challenging thing for Gen. Petraeus is that in his new position, he’s not allowed to communicate with the press. So he’s known all of this – they had correspondence with the CIA station chief in Libya, within 24 hours they kind of knew what was happening." …

Mrs. Broadwell would not have gotten any of this from the Fox News report. Which never mentioned any secret prison.

From the Daily Caller:

CIA denies claim from Petraeus’ girlfriend that Benghazi annex held Libyan prisoners

By Neil Munro | November 11, 2012

The Central Intelligence Agency denied charges Sunday that its annex in Benghazi, Libya secretly held a few jihadi prisoners until it was destroyed in the Sept. 11, 2012 attack…

An agency spokesperson told The Daily Beast that “[t]he CIA has not had detention authority since January 2009, when Executive Order 13491 was issued. Any suggestion that the Agency is still in the detention business is uninformed and baseless.”

One possible explanation, The Daily Beast wrote, is that Broadwell was confused about a report she had heard that day on the Fox News Channel.

Of course. Blame Fox News. Except, again, the Fox News report never mentioned any secret prison.

In any case, Mrs. Broadwell is not an idiot. She has strong a military intelligence background. It’s hard to believe she would have said such things without them being based on something she heard from Petraeus.

I wonder if the General helped her with the title of her book?

So it wasn’t to shut Stevens up on the spring up of Al-Qaeda training camps and new Islamic extremist sects growing showing the failure of Libya that Obama overthrew.

It was to shut the CIA up. After all, more CIA agents have been slaughtered under Obama than ever in U.S. history. Look at those over a dozen with 30-35 years of experience CIA agents told to meet with that Jordanian guy who blew up them up in Pakistan. And was it 7 CIA that blew up from the man with the packed donkey in Afghanistan. And there have been some random ones killed over there.

The Military have been shut for good. Gosh, going after our Navy 6 heroes after Obama already leaked the capture of Osama bin Laden. Doubt a private will even open his mouth about how the food is.

Obama’s present recent choice he chose for top U.S. General got his degree in literature and is busy writing Obama’s memoirs. And check out General Dempsey.

Not that I’ve ever respected officers very much, my disdain grows of your bowing to a President that likes the Muslim Brotherhood and the Islamic extremists. Bowing to the King of Saudi Arabia, should have showed them that allah comes first in Obama’s life, like taking off his U.S.A. flag pin, and not placing his hand on his heart.

And his Hillary pick to teach him the ropes and how to get rich as President and shut people up, is now getting the boot. I will remember the clips of her speech at the commencement on the arrival of the fallen Americans. I can see her daughter not wanting grandchildren in spite of Hillary feverishly wanting them.

Hopefully Broadwell has chips in the hands of everyone and told them who they possibly can trust
if they find her at the end of her rope. Maybe she sold them to some reporter. Who will play her role as deep throat only showing her face and not hiding behind pillars.
