“Ranger” Jesse MacBeth Gets 5 Months Prison
From the Seattle Times:
Man who posed as military hero sentenced to 5 months in prison

A Tacoma man who falsely claimed he was a decorated war hero when he took the stage at demonstrations held in opposition to the U.S.’s role in Iraq was sentenced this morning to five months in prison in U.S. District Court in Seattle.
Jesse MacBeth, 23, was also sentenced to three months in a halfway house after his release and three years of probation.
MacBeth claimed that he was an Army ranger who killed more than 200 people, many at close range, including some as they prayed in a mosque. He spoke at an anti-war rally in Tacoma and appeared in a 20-minute anti-war video that circulated widely on the Internet.
In reality, MacBeth made it through only six weeks of Army basic training and never set foot in Iraq.
Conservative bloggers exposed MacBeth in May 2006, destroying his credibility and embarrassing the Seattle company that produced the video about his exploits.
On June 7, MacBeth pleaded guilty to one count of making false statements to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. MacBeth admitted that he filed a bogus claim for VA benefits in 2005, which included a fraudulent military-discharge form.
MacBeth said on the forms that he had been in the Army for more than three years and had achieved the rank of corporal. He also claimed he had been awarded a Purple Heart and that he was discharged because he suffered from post-traumatic-stress disorder.
MacBeth spent 44 days as a private at Fort Benning, Ga., in 2003, but was released “for issues related to entry-level performance and conduct,” according to court papers.
PepperSpray Productions in Seattle produced the video titled “Jesse MacBeth: An Iraq Veteran Speaks Out.” In the film, MacBeth told nuanced tales of brutal killings he carried out at the behest of his commanding officers.
“They would actually feel the hot muzzle of my rifle on their forehead,” he reportedly said on the video, which is no longer in circulation.
A little justice for once.
Now if they would just start looking into some of the other “veterans” of the “peace movement.”

The moron photoshopped the beret on backwards…and with the wrong flash, too, it appears (Army vets confirm?).

MacBeth got off easy. He’s a felon, now, and no longer has voting rights in Washington state.
Will he convert to Islam while in prison?

I dont think it was photoshoped Sharps, He just didnt know how to put it on.
But your correct about the flash.
If you ever watched the taped interview, The little S.O.B. is just about as stupid as a human can get and still remember to breath.

It is being worn incorrectly but I am surprised that t is even the right color, most military impostors screw that one up.

Actually, it is on the wrong side and the wrong color.
I hope the vets in the jail he goes to hook him up with some “loving”

you can still catch total failure’s video rant on Michelle Malkin’s other site…which escapes me because it is 430am. POS mac beth gets to go to jail for lying about his non service in Iraq. It is really really too bad he wont be going to a military base detention instead, especially ones that he accused of wanton murder in the mosque. He is a dick with ears.

Unlike Vietnam protests, the left is finding it hard with pulling off military fraud, with their “veterans” because for the past 30 years there are organizations that were created in the 60’s to go after these jokers in the protest groups and the years after. POWNETWORK, Authentiseal are couple of the groups who go after these frauds and expose them.

Well, looks like s*** for brains didn’t learn thing one when he was “in the Army,” seeing as his tapes are on the wrong sides, and that’s an SFGA flash on his purloined beret (Air Force veteran here, but I’ve seen that flash on Special Forces troops…I just don’t know which group. Again, Army vets help?).
I knew the pro-terrorist crowd was stupid, but this is beyond moronic!

According to Army Reg 670-1 (which can be downloaded) - the Tan Beret is still worn by Ranger Units (remember our intrepid anti-war monger claimed to be a Ranger). So in keeping with his ‘claims’ - the Flash appears to be a Special Forces (1st Special Forces Group). However - his tapes being on the wrong side is such a rookie mistake - not to mention the beret being worn wrong - those things would be ‘drilled’ into their mushy little heads that first week.
Oh I guess our PVT was too busy hatching up all his PTSD nightmares to pay attention during his 44 day military career.

Yes Wardmama, the imposter is indeed wearing the basic flash of the 1st SFG (Airborne) based at Ft. Lewis, WA.

This is how a real war hero wears the uniform proudly;

God bless Sgt Major Connor’s family and may he rest in peace knowing he died proudly in defense of the great ideals of the USA, the greatest country in the world.

Well, the tee shirt is the wrong color and he didn’t roll the sleeves the right way (the camo pattern must show). The beret, even if it were facing the right way, isn’t worn correctly. It’s just thrown on. I’m just the mom of a Soldier and even I noticed that. I live around San Antonio and it’s easy to spot military personnel just by the way they carry themselves. Even out of uniform, they stand out. Jesse MacBeth stood out for all the wrong reasons.

I never thought I would see the day when I would see senators defending Jesse Macbeth on the Sentate floor. I have never listened to Rush for a single minute. Not one. It just seems to me the Democrats are trying to throw up a bunch of nonsense they continued to authorize the money for the wars *again*, while insisting that they don’t really want to authorize the money and really, they are against this war.

Like rak, I don’t listen to Rush either. I have read the transcripts of what he said, and while probably not the best choice of words the way it came out, I don’t believe he was talking about the fighting warriors that may not be happy with the way the war is going, but was referring to the macbeth’s of the war.
What rak is referring to is the resolutions being introduced in the senate and house to condemn Rush Limbaugh for what they say he said and meant. Can you believe that….resolutions and debate in our congress over something a radio pundit says? No matter what he meant, if we had this kind of debate every time someone on the radio says something that offends someone….well you get the idea. The best part was lying tom harkin talking about Rush being a non vet. The same Tom Harkin that LIED about being a Viet Nam fighter pilot when he wasn’t.
Now why aren’t they debating a condemnation vote to condemn the child abusers at Grambling U.? These people just make me sick.

WI - I think that the reason of attacking (and wasting tax payer time and money) is two fold - to make the masses believe that the Repubs are just as vile as the Moveon.org crowd (not by a long shot) and because the Dems have to demean Rush - as he is the most powerful voice against them. Or so they perceive - as they still don’t have a clue that most Repubs, Indys, Greens, and conservatives READ and pay attention to issues and politics - unlike their ‘voting blocs’ who take their cues on voting from the msm drivel.
These people are just completely insane - the good news is that they will take the 110th Congress into single digit favorable ratings - as they can’t help themselves and keep on doing the most insane and crazy crap imaginable. It would be laughable - if it weren’t our Government being rendered into a petty, immature and vapid group of liars playing games with our security, future and money.
Damn them and their BDS.

Let me be clear about something WM4….I don’t give a crap about Rush or how much crap he takes from the left. He is paid well for his pain and he does it voluntarily. Last I checked he wasn’t elected by anyone so he can say anything he wants to say, no matter how right, wrong or buffoonish it may be. What I care about is things government is supposed to be taking care of. Things like the GWOT, the deficit, tort reform, Social Security reform, crime and punishment for crime and why a group of soldiers, sailors and marines returning from war are not allowed into an airport terminal in Oakland, CA. But noooooo…..our congressmen are passing resolutions about what some talk show host says or about vile ads in newspapers. This congress, all of them, are so out of touch with reality and real priorities it’s pathetic. America burns while congress fiddles.

Yep… given the headline of the article I wonder if Harry Reid will find the need to denigrate SG on the floor of the Senate next.

kucharsk….maybe we will all make the congressional record! BTW, I hope everyone knows if they google your screen names, a lot of your comments from here will show up.
