Sarah Palin’s ‘High-Minded’ Protesters

Some photographs of the elevated political discourse coming from Obama supporters, via a firsthand report at Ringo’s Pictures (no, not that Ringo):

Sarah Palin Visits Southern California on October 4, 2008

On Saturday Oct. 4, 2008, Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin was in southern California for a couple of campaign appearances… The first stop was at the Home Depot Center’s tennis stadium in the city of Carson, not far from Long Beach… And as we slowly worked our way into the parking lot, we were greeted by a couple hundred anti-Palin and pro-Obama demonstrators who were lined up along the side walk in both directions and on both side of the street:

Do note that the first photograph features a child dressed as a vagina. Meanwhile, the second photo would seem to be more appropriate at an Obama protest.

The third and fourth pictures seem to indicate some confusion among the protesters. The penultimate photo seems to be a bit ironic.

Also, note that the last picture about an Alaskan village missing its idiot misspelled the possessive pronoun.

All too typical, is it not?

And it is just as typical that our one party media never shows us these people. Even though you can be sure they are represented at just about every McCain or Palin rally.

Of course that would cut into their propaganda that it is the McCain/Palin ticket that is turning out ugly supporters.

Who would you rather have for a neighbor, the miscreants in the pictures or Sarahcuda?

GALLIPOLIS — Gallipolis Wal-Mart shoppers were at first surprised and then excited on Sunday to find a national political figure in their midst who was, just as they were, picking up a few things she needed.

Accompanied by her youngest son Trig, security, staffers and a small pool of news media, Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin stepped off the “Straight Talk Express” bus to enter the store around 1:30 p.m., where she purchased a bag of Parents’ Choice brand disposable diapers and a toy.

But it was also an opportunity for the first-term Alaska governor to meet the public at large and win some votes for the ticket on which she’s running with the GOP White House nominee, U.S. Sen. John McCain of Arizona.

Palin did not have time to answer questions from the media following her trip through southeastern Ohio, but left some folks exhilirated at meeting her.

“It was so exciting,” said Pat Miller of Patriot, accompanied by her daughter Amber, a student at South Gallia High School. “She seemed to be very sweet, and if she could stop and take the time to buy some diapers for her son, it tells you that for her, family is first.”

Palin was to speak at a rally in St. Clairsville later in the day. After arriving at Tri-State Airport near Huntington, W.Va., Palin boarded the bus for the what would be her single stop for Gallipolis.

“I told the governor when she arrived at the airport she would see the most beautiful part of Ohio when she traveled up this way through Lawrence and Gallia counties,” said former Sen. Mike DeWine of Ohio, who with his wife Fran traveled with the Palin entourage.

The other announced stop was for Marietta, and reports Palin would make a stop at the last day of the Bob Evans Farm Festival proved incorrect as the entourage was seen traveling north on Ohio 7 after leaving Gallipolis.

“I think it’s a great thing for us,” said Andy Fisher of Gallipolis, present with his wife Jo Ellen and daughter Ashley when Palin stopped. “She has a good Christian heart and will make a fine vice president.

“She really cares about people with special needs and she’s not afraid to stand up to big business,” he added.

“She was really down to earth,” Ashley Fisher said. “There was no ego and she treated us with respect, which sometimes you don’t get from political people.”

Palin, who spoke Thursday in Wilmington, a city to be hit hard with the loss of jobs from the DHL delivery service hub based there, spoke later in a community where union sentiment runs high.

St. Clairsville is the seat of Belmont County, won by John Kerry in the 2004 presidential race, and also the home of U.S. Rep. Charlie Wilson, a first-term Democrat whose Sixth Congressional District includes Gallia and Meigs counties.

“I think we will do well in southern and southeastern Ohio,” DeWine reflected. “Even in more Democratic counties we’re seeing more people coming in for McCain signs.”

“I try to look at both sides,” Pat Miller said. “I want to vote for the best person for my country because I have to think about my children’s future.”

With three weeks left in the campaign, Ohio — considered a major swing state for McCain and Democratic opponent Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois — has becone a regular stop for the candidates. Obama spoke in Dayton, Cincinnati, Portsmouth, Chillicothe and Columbus late last week, and plans a visit to Toledo today.

Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware, Obama’s running mate, will also speak in St. Clairsville on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the Ohio University Eastern Campus, and in Marietta at Armory Square Wednesday at 7:15 p.m.

1st, (hypothetically of course), I don’t want to have neighbors like the protest haters in the pictures; these are the neighbors that I would pray for in my little World, sigh ….
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sr8yyvxcMzM “God Bless the USA”. :-)

  3. Cincinnatus says:

    “We need smart, not pretty”

How does it feel to be neither?

  4. oki2 says:

“We need smart, not pretty” … this would seem to indicate that the two are mutually exclusive. That must make Hillary the smartest woman alive? That also indicates that all the “pretty” people of Hollywood who are putting their weight behind the Obama movement should probably not be listened to for advice… why should we listen to the stupid people?

  5. platypus says:

How brain-dead does someone have to be to carry a sign with a drawing of a coat hanger?

I seem to remember that there was an effort years ago to validate the alleged use of coat hangers to do illegal abortions. Nothing was ever found. In other words, this is a false statement.

It is no surprise to me, though.

  6. Eilsel says:

“daughter” is spelled incorrectly in the 7th picture.

This is a group of rocket scientists here…

  7. Greg England says:

    These demonstrations are wonderful.

If you can get liberals out in the street, dressed hideously, campaigning against you then you are doing something right.
However, let’s hope that it’s not just a moral victory in November.

PS: I am one of two people in our office who is dreading an Obama victory … we are concerned at the foreign policy implications. However, I suspect that most of my peers in the UK are pro-Obama.

PPS: As a believer in democracy, I have never been against the existence of a political left if that’s what the people want.
But these pictures clearly illustrate the relentless nature of liberalism, and the reason why conservatives should never let their guard down. Because people who are completely and utterly wrong about everything still have the energy to dress up as vaginas and walk the streets.

These lib zombies just want to eat your brain, don’t they?

  8. DEZ says:

What is with the Mercedes-Benz signs the liberals carry?
Are they just too damn stupid to know what a peace sign looks like?

  9. JannyMae says:

Wow. I’ve seen stuff like that on ZombieTime, but somehow, this just shows how blatantly they ridicule human life. The idea that you want to protect innocent human life makes you, “anti-woman,” is nothing new, but seeing pictures of coat-hangers and, “Let’s not return to the backstreet” (I always thought it was back-alley!) really shows us that the freedom they want is freedom from RESPONSIBILITY for their actions.

It’s, “above his pay grade,” to decide when human life is worthy of protection, yet he voted AGAINST the born alive act?

Infanticide is next, if he gets into office with a Dem. congress.

  10. Greg England says:

I’ve just looked again at this set of photos, and the following caught my eye:

“If my daughter was pregnant would they respect her privacy”

Regardless of ones opinions regarding abortion …
…I can only stress for you how bizarre this liberal line of reasoning is, when viewed by a non US citizen.

I can therefore reassure you (if necessary) that no, you are not going mad, these people really are a collection of arbitrary ideologues.

  11. U NO HOO says:

What is that green patch in the first picture, a fig leaf? Or moss from inactivity?

  12. U NO HOO says:

Is Alaska #1 in rape incest and meth labs?

  13. Leslie says:

What this nation needs at this time is two intelligent people to get us out of the predicament we are in. I will gladly vote for two intelligent men. I feel sorry for you if you think the answer to the worst economy since the great depression is the two morons GOP has chosen to save this nation. Intellect should count for something. We have a man at the top of the ticket that was in the bottom of his class intellectually. And the person that would be 1/2 a breath away from the presidency attended 5 colleges before she was able to pull together enough credits to receive her diploma from the University of Idaho. They might have a piece of paper, but do they have the intelligence to lead this nation in the hard times ahead? I don’t belive so. But what else is new we elected a moron to lead the United States of America and look where it brought us. Sarah Palin would be 1/2 a breath away form having her finger on the nuclear button. Do you trust her with your
life and the lives of your children and grandchildren? I don’t! I’m sorry you can’t take a crash course in intellect. That is why this Christian, white, Republican, woman will be voting for Barack Obama.

  14. 1sttofight says:

If Obama would release his transcripts we could tell where stood in his classes. Why is he afraid to release them, Leslie?

  15. DEZ says:

“That is why this Christian, white, Republican, woman will be voting for Barack Obama.

Your right about not being able to take a crash course in intellect Leslie.
Sad too, because you are in dire need!

  16. conservstudent says:

Leslie, I have a question. How exactly are you defining intelligence? Because I might say that intelligence is the ability to use complex cognitive reasoning and knowledge to solve problems with finite answers. Although having a degree in law is good, how does one say he is right in his interpretation, or opinion, of the law? If you really wanted someone of intellect, we would have physicists and chemists running for office. That is why we look at the judgment skills of those running for office. And as much as I would like to comment on Obama’s judgment skills, I haven’t really seen to many of his judgments, or much of anything, other than how he denies his participation with figures from his past such as Bill Ayers and Rev. Wright. Your comment about how Palin “has her finger on the nuclear button”, followed by wether or not I would trust her with my life. My interpretation is that if she had her finger on the button, isn’t it because she is trying to protect our lives? I mean, for a situation like that to arise, how would you know that there isn’t another country with their finger on the button posing a threat to our safety? Also, I’m glad a Christian woman is voting for someone in a party that advocates abortion. I’m glad you felt the need to tell the internet that.

  17. 1sttofight says:

Sounds like Leslie has Jungle Fever.

  18. DEZ says:

    I think I like conservstudent!
    Welcome to S&L!

  19. conservstudent says:

Thank you DEZ. I’ve actually been visiting this website for quite some time, but finally decided to become a member and share my opinion with others with similar interests.

  20. JohnMG says:

Imagine that. Another Republican for Obama. And I’m the arch-bishop of Canterbury. No, wait! I’m really a Russian spy. No, no, that’s not it. I’m, I’m, …..well, I think you get the idea, Leslie. Idiot troll!

  21. curvyred says:

Wow that little boy holding the sign is frightening, reminds me too much of the Obama singing children and Obama stepping children.

And our tax dollars paid for this one

  22. DEZ says:

I was thinking along similar lines MG.

Now does the kid with a vagina on her head give a new meaning to the word ASSHAT?

  23. JohnMG says:

Something along the lines of…..”Leslie, the proctologist just called. They say they’ve located your head.

  24. 1sttofight says:

conservstudent, You have fell in with a bad crowd. Welcome.

  25. Jed_Black says:

    “McCain-Gimmick ’08”

That’s like the pot calling the kettle Barack Obama.

  26. Eilsel says:

Damn, how many threads did Leslie post the same message on? I just posted on the Lohan thread where I saw that post first.

She must be spreading the love.

Now does the kid with a vagina on her head give a new meaning to the word ASSHAT?

That seems kind of anal-agous to the last part of “Team America World Police” lol.

  28. wardmama4 says:

Well first Leslie – a great commentary on your misguided definition of intelligence – as was pointed out – if Obama would release his college records – we might be able to place his position in his college too. Although you might not understand that Annapolis is not just any college – and given the legacy aspect of McCain’s family history – just might have a little to do with his low standing (given the maverick in him, you know). But as pointed out – we know where McCain was born – we’ve seen his birth certificate, we know his standing in college – we’ve seen his records, we know his votes, his jobs and his associates – good and bad.

We just keep hearing nothing to see, nothing to know – move along from Obama. The majority of Americans simply want Obama to pony up the proof.

And as conservstudent pointed out how any woman can call herself a Christian and be voting for the most extreme abortion supporter (farther left than Boxer and NARAL) is beyond me. When coupled with the Republican voting for Obama – I have to go with the crowd – a troll for Obama.

And yes, I would not want any of these negative, hateful people living in my neighborhood. And after seeing Gov Palin in line at Wal Mart buying diapers – yeah I know I could live next door to her.

  29. Odie44 says:

Ah Leslie – the financial failure, across the global board, was headed by “the Ivy Leagues” finest…

And for the remaining 90% of licensed financial employees (traders, brokers, etc) the only requirement is: the age of 18.

Integrity, character and oversight is what’s lacking across the board…

  30. sheehanjihad says:

Is Les bein tricky here? Nah, not leslie….she sows the seeds of her incompetent miscreant ramblings on as many sites as she can, then trolls back to see who banned her, or who ignored her, or actually answered her stupidity. She gets off on it….but she also came to the wrong place. She is nothing more than a feces smeared punji stake in the path of life….and thus avoided. But take heed, tis the likes of her that are voting her messiah into office…..and we will have to deal with the likes of her soon enough. I cant wait! I’m with DEZ….I like conservstudent. welcome to the last bastion of free thinking Americans!

  31. BillK says:

Leslie needs to point out she’s White, Christian and a Republican.

I guess that means she’s a racist as well as a theocrat in addition to of course being a sexist.

None of the rest of us feel the need to specify our color, creed, sex or political party affiliation.

We just know that Obama would be the worst thing to happen to this country short of a nuclear attack on American soil.

An event, by the way, the election of Obama would make much, much more likely.

Conservatism is gender-neutral as well as being color-blind and has nothing to do with one’s religion.

By the way, you forgot to add “lifelong” to “Republican.” Check the AP style guide more carefully next time.

  32. Exeter says:

Good one, Les – “But what else is new we elected a moron to lead the United States of America and look where it brought us.”

Would that be the moron that liberated Afghanistan and Iraq, brought us within sight of victory, and kept America safe for 8 years?

  33. sheehanjihad says:

Face it…leslie is a shriveled up douchebag with a penchant for powerful smooth talking pimps. Its back to that case of mind over matter. I dont mind, and she doesnt matter. I gotta go take a barak and flush my congress….

  34. Exeter says:

SJ – remember to wipe your Barney

  35. Liisa says:

“Women” like Leslie and the other morons shown are threatened by Sarah Palin. Libs want to think that every woman in America is Pro-Choice, feminist, whatever. Well, wake up, the majority of women in the country are NOT! we just don’t have time to voice our opinions much because we are out there working, taking care of our family and doing what it takes to keep our families together. When confronted with conservative women, liberal women are at a loss for words so all they can do is attack on a personal level. God forbid though that a conservative throw back in their faces the hypocracy that they spew. I for one, am sick of taking the high road and will from now on, at every opportunity, let these retarded liberal women know just how ignorant and stupid they are.
And Leslie, please do not indicate you are a Christian. You are not. A true Christian would not condone the murder of unborn children. and don’t give me the crap about how “you would never do it yourself but believe women need the choice” I don’t want to hear that and you WILL be judged on your beliefs not just your actions.

  36. gipper says:

The first picture is not someone dressed as vagina but an infant being born alive. Maybe she and the coat hanger gal can get together, coat hanger gal can botch the abortion, and the infant can be left to die a horrible death in a janitor’s closet.

  37. TNNewhouse says:

I can’t wait for barry to be elected…

We are going to have 2.3 abortions, a new car and a brand new house with a picket fence (better not say white picket fence) for every family. Wont matter if you work the “rich” are going to pay for everyone.

  38. wirenut says:

Leslie, please do not vote with your vagina, and you really should stop smokin meth with it too ! It still makes brain cables snap. Ineed a shower .

  39. Noyzmakr says:

Maybe some first grade teacher can take her students on a field trip to watch her not vote with her vagina.

What a learning experience that would be.
