Years of moral relativism have rendered liberals to stupid to even do simple math.
Or maybe they dont want to hurt the lower numbers feelings by saying 3/4's of a billion dollars has more

David,
It wouldn't work to Obama's image of invincibility because we all know that at the end of the song Bad, Bad, Leroy Brown had the snot kicked out of him by bigger, badder man. Although I would certainly admire any man with the courage to politically take 'The One' down a peg or two.

Twice now I have heard Jim Croce singing "Bad, Bad, Leroy Brown" on the radio and I can't get it over how perfect of an Obama theme song it is. How hard would it be to rig the sound system for his first State of the Union to have this playing when he takes the stage? One well connected republican congressman with balls could do it...

The Democrats golden rule, 'He who has the gold makes the rules.' But all the gold they had didn't save the ancient Byzantines from the Huns who finally stopped taking tribute and went in and sacked their empire. I'm firmly convinced we need to have a modern day Robin Hood in our country. People always take notice when you hit them in the pocketbook.

This is a serious problem that Republicans and conservatives nned to figure out how to overcome. Obama's huge MONEY advantage was one of the main reasons why Obama won. Add in media bias, an unpopular sitting Republican President and a financial crisis that generated economic anxieties that have historically favored Democrats, and you have what happened. The money problem and the media bias are not going away.

How shameless is the media? The biggest spender ever in any election ever and not a peep, save this piece to try to explain how it's really not that big a deal. If it would've been a republican, there'd be no end to the crying and bitching about corporate special interests usurping our democracy, neh, our very way of life! Where's the outrage? Where, for that matter, is the reporting?

Why are republicans always portrayed as uber-wealthy while liberals are painted in tones of simple-hearted, earth-loving green, even though we run businessmen, soccer moms and war heroes, and all their candidates are corporate lawyers?

Obamy didn't just buy the election, he tacitly approved the destruction of the economy to win the throne.

Notice that genuinely wealthy people are unaffected. They don't dabble in stocks and don't have jobs to lose. The future tax duns won't impact them because they clip bond coupons. Maybe their clippings will be 3% less, but more likely they will be exempted.

So it didn't really matter what the manipulation of the markets, credit markets, and oil markets did to the country.......Obamys money-men are sitting pretty.....they even opened a bigger gap that will prevent the unwashed from interfereing with their elite lifestyle. Best to keep the proletariat in their places, you know.

But the UAW may not be as happy now as they were Nov 4. And the teachers and "higher educators" will soon feel the bite when new budgets are created after federal, state and local tax revenues fall by 25% (and oh yeh, Harvard's endowment is down by $8 billion....didn't someone really smart in the news lately go to that esteemed institution? Harvard grads are so smart they rarely make mistakes, as we all know.). Looks like the horse they bet on has thrown off a bit more mud than those groups bargained for.

And oh, have you noticed the many media layoffs? Couldn't happen to nicer folks. Lucky for them, "journalists" are highly qualified to become politicians, a job that seems immune to the little ups and downs of the economy, as the awesome wealth of our elected representatives testifies.

The report explains the Democrats’ effort focuses on seven components: the capacity to generate intellectual ammunition, ability to pursue investigations, to mobilize for elections, to combat negative media, to sue strategically, to train new leaders and maintain a new media presence.

Jam 2:6 Don't rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?
Jam 2:7 Don't they blaspheme that worthy name by which you are called?

Worth noting:

GOP-killing juggernaut puts bull's-eye on states
Millionaires, billionaires donating to takeover plan

A Democratic juggernaut of local and regional organizations that blast Republicans and promote Democrats using money donated by hundreds of millionaires and even billionaires was a key to President-elect Barack Obama's win over GOP candidate Sen. John McCain last month. And a new report warns the same attack strategy now is being implemented in states, targeting especially the offices of secretary of state, where elections are managed.

"The Democracy Alliance helped Democrats give Republicans a shellacking in November. Now it's organizing state-level chapters in at least 19 states, and once-conservative Colorado, which hosts the Democracy Alliance's most successful state affiliate, has turned Democrat blue," the report from Matthew Vadum and James Dellinger of Capital Research Center concludes.

The report from the center, which studies non-profit organizations, titled "The Democracy Alliance Does America: The Soros-Founded Plutocrats' Club Forms State Chapters," is accessible online.

It concludes the 2008 victory for Obama was a result of the outraged millionaire donors to the Democrats who watched their cause fail in 2004 after opening their checkbooks for tens of millions of dollars.

"It was born out the frustration of wealthy liberals who gave generously to liberal candidates and 527 political committees, but received no electoral payoff in 2004," the report said.

George Soros and others "were angry and discouraged after contributing to the Media Fund which spent $57 million on TV ads attacking President Bush in swing states and to American Coming Together which spent $78 million on get out the vote efforts," the report said.

The result was a victory for President Bush. So in 2005, 70 millionaires and billionaires met in Phoenix "for a secret long-term strategy session." Their principal point of agreement was "the conservative movement was 'a fundamental threat to the American way of life.'"

Weekly Standard editor Fred Barnes, according to the report, said, "If copied in other states, [this] has the potential to produce sweeping Democratic gains nationwide."
