Politico Says ‘Obama’s Compliment Backfires’

From the Politico:

President Obama’s Kamala Harris ‘compliment’ backfires

By JONATHAN ALLEN | April 4, 2013

Ohio’s Mike DeWine, Alabama’s Luther Strange and Georgia’s Sam Olens, eat your hearts out: President Barack Obama thinks California’s Kamala Harris is the belle of the ball among the nation’s top government lawyers.

“She’s brilliant and she’s dedicated, she’s tough … She also happens to be, by far, the best looking attorney general,” Obama said at a Democratic National Committee luncheon in Atherton, Calif., Thursday. “It’s true! C’mon.”

Obama’s remark set the chattering class atwitter.

Look at how the Politico soft-pedals this in their headline and lead. Would they treat such a ‘sexist’ comment so lightly if it had been made by George Bush or Mitt Romney?

In fact, the article immediately cites a conservative and a Republican for their transgressions. (Stories we had never even heard before.)

Certainly, Obama meant no insult, but in singling out Harris for her looks, Obama joins a long list of public figures who just can’t seem to let an attractive woman’s looks go without comment.

In 2011, FOX News Chief Roger Ailes told the Associated Press that he hired Palin because “she was hot and got ratings.”

Last year, Republican attorney general candidate David Freed said Democratic opponent Kathleen Kane’s strengths were that she’s “pretty and has a lot of money,” according to Pennsylvania’s Daily Review…

The White House did not respond to a request for comment…

Why not? They usually are happy to chime in on anything.

Without a doubt, Obama’s subject matter seemed more suited to the pages of Maxim magazine – which has actually published a list of the world’s hottest female politicians – than a political event…

Because noting that someone is attractive is the same as a pornographic magazine.

But some of his supporters shrugged it off.

“The president and California’s Attorney General Kamala Harris are good friends, as he articulated after commenting on her brilliance, dedication, toughness and beauty,” Angela Rye, a Democratic political consultant and former executive director of the Congressional Black Caucus, said in an e-mail.

“The fact that this has in some way become a story about his overall respect of women (or lack thereof) is a slap in the face to the first lady, the first daughters, and every other woman who appreciates a compliment that extends far beyond appearance from the president or any other man,” she said.

You see? It’s the people who are criticizing Obama who are in the wrong here. Democrats are so good at jujitsu.

Meanwhile, we also have this from a bemused Politico:

Washington: Bill Clinton watches ‘Scandal’

By CAITLIN MCDEVITT | April 4, 2013

Former President Bill Clinton watches “Scandal,” according to the show’s star Kerry Washington.

“Bill Clinton was another person where I was like, ‘What?! You watch Scandal?!’” Washington told Entertainment Weekly in an interview that hits newsstands Friday. “I feel like it happens at least once a week — that I am totally floored by somebody who watches the show.”

In “Scandal,” Washington plays a White House aide turned crisis consultant who has an affair with the president.

Her character is based on Judy Smith, a D.C. crisis manager and former deputy press secretary to President George H.W. Bush. Smith, known for her high-profile, scandal-ridden client list, has advised notables including former Sen. Larry Craig, Michael Vick and (wait for it…) Monica Lewinsky.

A Clinton spokesman didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

Bill probably thinks it’s a reality show. Or maybe a roman a clef portrayal of his life and times in the White House.

In any case, it is sure to make him that much determined to get Hillary elect in 2016, so that he can go back to living the good life.

… maybe this is why Michelle referred to herself as a hard working single mother ….

This perfectly illustrates the madness and sickness of so-called Progressives. They aren’t progressive at all, and want to reduce us to infantile dependence and dictatorship. It’s a virulent form of collectivist tyranny.

How perfect is this? Obummer, the champion of Liberal group-think, Political Correctness, and Orwellian Newspeak is caught in his own trap; the trap he laid out for his many enemies. Political Correctness is an attempt to alter our thinking and control the masses through shame and humiliation.

Freedom of speech, inquiry, and thought is essential and irreplaceable to a free people. Therefore, the ‘Progressives’ will try to destroy this basic human right.

Obama’s “sexual inappropriate discrimination against women in the work place” is being defended.

No wonder Michelle Obama recently said on a talk show she was a busy single-mother.

Their marriage was deeply troubled from the beginning according to the couple, and she is just enjoying the perk. Another woman staying with an absent husband for working relationship to take over the world.

Court Case brought in front of Attorney General Kamala Harris.

    Jane Doe vs. Obami US

The plaintiff brings forth complaint that the Civil Rights Act was violated when her boss made statements about her appearance in the work place. When her boss made his sexual in nature comment in front of the entire world it caused her excruciating consequences in affecting her life’s work and career and devastating results in her personal and family life leading to in alienation of her partner. Many of her co-workers made hostile remarks to her that she had “slept” her way up the ladder. Many co-workers called out wolf howls, and whistles every time she passed their desks or crossed their paths in the halls. Further, her distress from the mocking led her to feel isolated and uncomfortable. The plaintiff complained this led to co-workers both female and male hugging her more and getting in her space at any given time.
Jane Doe felt her position of authority became a joke and began to feel uncomfortable in the court room. The fact that the plaintiff’s boss also made the sexually discriminating comments to the entire world, made her fear for her life. She feared Muslims would see that she let a man, yet alone a married man hug her and consider she was unclean and deserved 100 lashings or a stoning.

How will Kamal Harris rule on this?

Will she grant the plaintiff compensation or will she determine that as a female the plaintiff should expect the humiliating treatment as part of her job and suck it up.

Further the plaintiff presented evidence of 30 hours of phone recordings and thousands of e-mails.

Example of many of these messages were from an unidentified woman demeaning and threatening her.

“I tell yo what ho. you leave my man alone or I’ll kick your a**. ”

” You’d better watch ya back b***h, cause I know lot’s of goons in black suits that will pick off you a** ho.”

Other recordings and e-mails from unknown sources were threats, sexually graphic descriptive comments and wanted sexual advances.

The plaintiff’s children were also harassed. Toungue wagging, whistles, comments of wanting to do perform sexual.

Will Reverend Jessie Jackson be visiting the White House to give marriage counseling to the couple.

Didn’t Obami listen to the political Easter Service? Don’t be sending ugly women to the back of the bus and reward’n the pretty women.
