Privately, Obama Says Recovery 1-2 Yrs Off

From the Washington Examiner:

Privately, Obama sees recovery 1-2 years off

The public President Obama, bubbly in his reelection campaigning about a recovering U.S. economy, isn’t as optimistic in private, telling a select few that it will likely take up to two years for any recovery to click in.

A letter provided to Washington Secrets from Obama to a long-unemployed Portland, Maine carpenter pulls back the curtain of economic hope to reveal the truth about the stagnant economy. “I won’t lie to you,” Obama penned in hand to Charles Oliver in October. “It will probably take another year or two to fully dig our way out of this hole.”

The existence of this note from Obama was first reported by the New York Post back on January 24th. But now we can actually see it. As well as Obama’s public duplicity.

He will lie to us.

Oliver had written the president in June to ask: “Are we as Americans going to be alright?” Answered Obama, “Yes, we will be ok. Because America has gotten through tough times before, and because of good people like you.”

While happy for the response, Oliver told us that he hasn’t seen any of the recovery the president and media have been heralding. “He’s out campaigning saying everything is coming up roses. He’s a lying SOB,” Oliver said of Obama, who has tried to temper his hopefulness with cautions that the recovery could hit speed bumps.

According to the Post and the Minneapolis/St. Paul Fox News affiliate, KMSP, Mr. Oliver is a former Marine.

Oliver recently sold his letter through a dealer to pay for truck repairs but remains unemployed. Another firm, Alexander Autographs now has his letter and is offering it to the first buyer who bids over $10,000. The company’s president, Bill Panagopulos, told us that he will give half of the profit to any company that gives Oliver a full-time job.

Actually, according to the New York Post’s article, Mr. Oliver sold his letter for $2,500. Also, according KMSP, Oliver is just the latest American forced to sell an Obama letter to pay the bills.

In June, Destiny Mathis, a cash-strapped mother of three from Indiana, was forced to sell a letter from Obama after being out of work for six months — despite describing it as her most prized possession.

Similarly, Michigan resident Jennifer Cline, 28, wrote to the President about how she and her husband lost their jobs and detailing her battle with skin cancer. She was forced to sell the supportive letter from Obama for $7,000 to an autograph dealer in 2010 to help pay her health care costs. So, at least, Obama is helping the economy on some small level.

But don’t these sound like stories from the worst years of the Great Depression?

Baracak Hussein Obama (mmmm, mmmm, mmmm) said: ““It will probably take another year or two to fully dig our way out of this hole.”

And thus we have a clear sample of how this idiot thinks. Normal, thinking people dig holes. And those same, normal thinking people know that to get out of said hole, they have to climb out of it, not dig. By digging, normal, thinking people know, you make the hole deeper.

Sorry I had to explain that. But it strikes me as a conversation a high school teacher would have with a sophomore who had just used the expression and the teacher took the time to explain the illogic of it.

Obama’s personal notes aren’t even worth the paper they’re written on.

Hey a job saved or created. Apparently the market for crap on paper is boomin’.

Let us all write demanding letters in return. It’s only fair. Then when over-supply crashes the value, let us demand bailouts on all the debt we took out on the asset.

Obama can’t write the alphabet. ?

” It will probably take another year or two to fully die our way out of this life? ”

No can interpret the word before ” “..?..” yes, we will be ok”

Mixes hand print with long hand shows maybe means he’s two-faced or never learned to write long hand.
Dang!!! No matter he has trouble reading the teleprompter. He can’t read the alphabet.

Of course! Once the afterbirth of the 60’s is cast to the curb. “We” as a nation, will continue to grow. I need no help, I want no hinderance. Our recovery starts when this pile hits the fan.

Ah yes, the Obama philosophy. So many ways to handle a problem.

Keep digging. Just another 12,000 kilometers to reach China. Send another 800 million to the Nazi spring, maybe another stimulus before November.

Or level the area surrounding the hole so it doesn’t look so deep. There are still working people to tax and hungry occupiers to feed.

Or maybe, cover said hole with a blanket of fudged numbers and say “nothing to see here folks.” Under report unemployment. Devalue the currency and ignore the rising price of gold. Ban umbrellas when it rains, too. Sunny days for all!
