Protesters Try To Silence Santorum In OKC

From Yahoo News:

Demonstrators interrupt Rick Santorum speech in Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY — About 20 liberal demonstrators tried to shout down Rick Santorum while he delivered his stump speech on the steps of the state capitol building here Sunday, yelling "racist" and "fascist" at the Republican presidential candidate.

The anti-Santorum faction began chanting "Get your hate out of our state" when the candidate started his address. Standing before a microphone at the top of the steps, Santorum ignored them and continued speaking. The demonstration lasted about 15 minutes.

Santorum supporters standing near the front of the crowd tried to come to his aid by holding signs in front of the demonstrators and shouting, "We pick Rick! We pick Rick!" Some of the anti-Santorum demonstrators ripped the signs out of supporters’ hands.

In a non-violent way, of course.

The crowd cheered as the demonstrators left, and Santorum finished his speech, saying at one point that the departed crowd members should get jobs instead of shouting at public events

The trouble is, this is their jobs. They are being paid by unions and the DNC and the Obama campaign.

By the way, this story is not to be confused with the story from February 14, 2012, when leftwing free speech activists shouted down Mr. Santorum in Washington State. Or the story about protesters shouting down Newt Gingrich back in December. Or when protesters forced Gingrich to skip a campaign appearance back in January. Or when they shouted down Michele Bachmann. Or when they have shouted down Romney.

In fact, leftist protesters have shouted down every Republican Presidential candidate, any number of times. But when has this ever happened even once to a Democrat candidate anywhere?

So who are the ‘haters’ again? The enemies of free speech? Who are the real fascists here?

I’m actually amazed that Yahoo News reported this. Ever since my AT&T e-mail account was surreptitiously turned into a Yahoo e-mail account, I have (and succeeded) in finding ways to avoid their advertising and news content whenever I wanted to just read my e-mail. It was so beyond the beyonds of leftism that I had to make sure it never crossed my vision again.

On occasion, I have to turn off a filter or two but when I do, there’s a banner on the right side touting Moochelle D’oh-bama and why they deserve four more years. (GAG)

But it’s amazing that Yahoo did a piece on this at all. Sadly, the news agencies make it appear that we are a nation divided into equally-numbered parts. But the appearance is deceiving since the polls suggest that over 70% of Americans still self-identify with conservatism. It just appears to be “equal” in number because the news makes it look that way.

I do not have cable or satellite TV, therefore do not watch FOX, or CNN. In fact, I don’t watch any network news and instead get my info from strictly conservative sources like American Thinker, American Spectator, Sweetness & Light, Michelle Malkin, etc. For fun, I go to NewsBusters to see what the other side is playing at. It’s not a mystery to me that the writers and participants of what is incorrectly called the mainstream media, are all steeped in emotional rhetoric, lying, self-aggrandizing, water-carrying for the national socialists because at the very base of their personalities, they can only be described as very unhappy people. And…they never grew up. Didn’t have to, I guess.

Of course I agree with your point, but in fairness these guys have shouted even Obama down in the past:
