Rhodes…wasnt that the bumbling douchebag who tripped and fell in a drunken stupor, and then screamed the sky was falling because of a vast right wing conspiracy that caused global warming making the air too heavy to float so it smacked her noggin instead? Foul mouthed though she may be….she is simply a fool who cannot deal with her self loathing due to her obvious lack of importance to anyone except herself. Now fired by air america? That’s like osama being evicted from his cave for being three months behind on his camel payments. What a maroon!

Sharps Rifle - if it is any consolation - she did not even serve out her contract but went to a program called Palace Chase (Air National Guard) to be able to get an Honorable Discharge - even without serving her full contract. . .
Hmmm, wonder if she was one of the ones who called President Bush AWOL - would be typical liberal and oh, so hypocritical of her.
Amazing that she was fired - I thought people like her were promoted and touted in the msm. . .

Michael Richard (Kramer on Seinfeld) utters the “N” word during his comedy routine and the liberal loving mainstream media is on the story like a tight shirt. Randi Rhodes calls fellow Democrats Geraldine Ferraro and Hillary @%*@4 whores during her stand up routine and not one peep out of the same drive by media! It took the “pajamas media” (like SG again) to again bring another important story to light.
Ms. Ferraro makes the very same point that Obama’s camp made about Obama would not be in the position he is in today if it weren’t because of his skin color (something we in the Upper Midwest call pointing out the obvious) and she gets vile hate mail.
Well Geraldine, welcome to the Soro’s funded, Daily Kos influenced, 2008 Democratic Party.
What any Democrat that still has any common sense should realize is that the left wing liberal movement will never stop moving towards chaos. Even when it gets to the point that Satan will appear to be a moderate conservative, it still won’t be good enough for some. And with the fact that the liberal moonbats consider Hillary too far to the right already, me thinks that day is not far away.

Perhaps off topic, but last summer I was on vacation and found Randi Rhodes, unknowingly, on the radio. I listened a while to see who she was. She said nothing worthwhile for about 15 minutes or so until station break. To paraphrase, Bush lied, people died, Cheney shot his shotgun someone almost died, etc. No real analysis or substantiation of her opinion and nothing new. SOS.

This is a link to the AAR statement about Rhodes’ suspension. I include it here because the comments are absolutely fascinating. The statement says that she was suspended for “abusive, ad hominem language”, but many of the posters seem to have read a different statement - something about her having been suspended for picking a candidate. Others seem convinced that Air America is a branch of the Federal government, as they keep bringing up a Constitutional right to free speech. (Or perhaps they just aren’t aware of what the Constitution actually says? Nah… couldn’t be that.)

Sorry I wrote fired many posts ago, rather than suspended - as they say - My Bad.
Diane - what people who scream Free Speech forget is that there are laws and situations that can and do control apparent ‘free speech’ - the FCC has the right to control words on the radio - as it is open to anyone to listen to (i.e. - children, for example) which used to apply to tv - but doesn’t really seem to anymore. . .and another example is the old - ‘you can’t scream “fire” in a crowded theater’ - and of course it use to also cover treason, libel, slander and sedition -but those too alas seem to not matter much any more.
To me it is all about common sense - what burns me about the Richards thing is that - ummm - certain entertainers can use the ‘N’ word all the time but other’s can’t - does not compute, make sense, is not fair nor right - either it goes for all or it goes for none.
But then I believe in equal rights for all Americans - imagine that, crazy me!
