The Democratic Elite finanlly have what they’ve been drooling over — the spotlight, and it just may backfire on them.

Up until now, their dark machinations have remained relatively unscrutinized. Hopefully the bright light of political celebrity that people like Pelosi, Reid & Rangel preen in today will ultimately expose the many ways they abuse their offices and abuse the American people.

While I’m hopeful it will, I’m fearful that it won’t happen in time.

Is there any way that one of us could start a Term Limits Amendment for all Federally elected officials? I do not see any other way of cleaning up this mess in DC. Everyone bemoans how much pork they are passing, but when it comes down to their Rep or Senator, they love it when they “bring home the bacon”. The way I see it is we can only move forward as a nation if we put limits on being an elected office holder. Maybe then they can concentrate on doing their job instead of rains money, lining their pockets or running for higher while holding another office.

I know! Last night I dreamed that Congress wanted spend almost a trillion in taxpayer money to fund special interest pork and the FBI wanted to divert counter terrorism agents to fraud cases. Good thing it was just a dream, right?

I’m an old soldier with nothing left to lose. I’ve lived a good life, and wouldn’t cry a tear if it was all taken from me right now. Many of you will read this and think, “melodramatic”, as you think of your kids and spouse. I have neither.

For the last few years, after realizing the continued spiral our nation seems locked in, I can’t help but to reflect on how my Cherokee ancestors used to practice a surreal measure of ending your life when you realized that you were getting too old to help the tribe anymore: The old brave would stake his ankle to the ground in a field where the next tribal war was about to take place. Fiercely they would scream and taunt the enemy, finally engaging the rushing onslaught. As the elder tribesman distracted the enemy, his younger braves descend on them.

Although it’s a morbid thought, I sometimes wish the brave crew and passengers of Flight 93 hadn’t brought the plane down in Pennsylvania. It was reportedly headed for the capitol building and would have solved a lot of our current problems.

Well we cant thank ol charlie an the rest of the tax cheats for the new crack down the irs is going to have this year. All of congress gets a pass an we the people get hammered from the irs. This was on Fox new bus. channel this morning the guest said that this is the year to make sure you cross the T,s an dot the I,s. If any think looks like it is suspicious you will get audited.

I do love my Country,But i loathe the criminals of congress.

Just curious, have you been getting the silent treatment from them? Perhaps because every one of my elected officials is a ~~traitor~~ Democrat. I would at least prefer a "thanks for sharing but stick it" letter. Instead I get nothing. What a surprise considering the do-nothings today may just finish H.R. 1!
