And John McCain might finally regret his Egypt youth are his hero comment as he too is attacked.

The Wall Street Journal: Anti-U.S. Hostility Ramps Up in Egypt

Media Outlets Blast American Policies, Further Straining Ties

By Maria Abi-Habib & Adam Entous

Opponents of ousted President Mohammed Morsi sit under anti-American banners in Cairo’s Tahrir Square on Thursday, reflecting the increasing hostility toward the U.S. from a broad range of factions in Egypt.

A headline in a major Egyptian state newspaper this week referred to the proposed U.S. envoy to Egypt as the “Ambassador of Death.” Posters in Cairo’s Tahrir Square, a center of pro-government rallies, depict President Barack Obama with a beard and turban, exclaiming his “support for terrorism.”

Another large Egyptian newspaper alleged Sen. John McCain, who traveled to Cairo this week in an effort to break a deadlock between the government and its Islamist rivals, has chosen sides by employing Muslim Brotherhood staffers in his office.

Egypt’s state and privately owned media outlets, already no strangers to demonizing the U.S., have embarked on a particularly critical campaign. The latest salvos have targeted Robert Ford, the likely nominee for American ambassador to a country that is pivotal to U.S. foreign policy.

    U.S. Shuts Lahore, Pakistan Consulate

Egypt has come to count on some $1.5 billion in mostly military aid each year from the U.S., while Washington wants Egypt to maintain its peace treaty with Israel and help the U.S. against terrorism.

A fluent Arabic speaker, Mr. Ford has served in many of the Middle East’s toughest spots. In Iraq, he was known for pressing Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki’s government to crack down on Shiite militias who were attacking U.S. troops, often in collaboration with Iranian intelligence organizations.

Mr. Ford’s former boss in Baghdad, recently retired American Ambassador James Jeffrey, said the charges in the Egyptian press were “completely unfounded.”

“He is the best we have,” Mr. Jeffrey said of Mr. Ford.

One U.S. official said: “If it’s not Ford’s nomination, they’d find a way to criticize someone else.”

The criticism against Mr. Ford erupted this week. An article on Monday in Al Ahram, the flagship state newspaper, called Mr. Ford “the engineer of destruction in Syria, Iraq and Morocco” and “the man of blood.”

On a trip this week to Cairo as part of efforts to urge reconciliation between the Brotherhood and the government, Sen. McCain, an Arizona Republican, showed visible frustration with the rising anti-American sentiment.

“Let me just say as a friend of Egypt, we Americans see the demonization[sic] of our country in Egyptian state media and these kind of actions are harmful to our relationship and to your friends,” Sen. McCain said Tuesday.

He warned that some representatives in the Congress wanted to sever America’s relationship with Egypt.

In the past few months, two U.S. citizens were stabbed on Egyptian streets—one fatally—with one of the attackers telling police that he had traveled from afar to Cairo in search of an American to kill.

Mr. Elwishee, 51 years old, said he is a dual U.S.-Egyptian citizen with a wife and three children who live in Missouri.

He now spends his time holding anti-American placards in Tahrir Square, one with Mr. Obama’s face crossed out with red.

“In general, Egyptians want America out of Egyptian affairs….,” Mr. Elwishee said with a slight American accent.

When asked for his thoughts on Mr. Ford, Mr. Elwishee didn’t hesitate. “He’s a troublemaker. It’s enough to know that he was ambassador to Syria,” he said. “He is top in one of the U.S. spy agencies…and we don’t need that kind of relationship.”

—Jay Solomon and Leila Elmergawi contributed to this article.

Mr. Ford may have attacked the Shiite militias in Iraq but now the US supports them.

And to think “dual US-Egyptian” Mr. Elwishee with a wife and three children who live in Missouri
who hates the US won’t even be punished and his wife and kids will be the next marathon bombers in the U.S.

Shame on the media for not showing pictures of Mr. Elwishee and his anti-America placards sitting in the square so his neighbors can be warned. Most have something to do with color.

And to think Obama is praising Hillary for all this, but according to tabloid headlines it’s because she threatened to say some pretty bad things about Obama if he didn’t support her. Word is she’s going to come out with some of her gay trysts too, in her new book.

Meanwhile, Anthony Wiener is bragging the Clintons have not turned on him. How could they without their own sex scandals. duh. CNN is siding with Wiener and trashing the girls that outed him.

NFL’s new bag policy gets off to a hassle-filled start for some fans
By Frank Schwab | Shutdown Corner
The NFL has been doing its best to spread the word of its new bag policy implemented after the Boston Marathon bombing, which pretty much restricts anything but clutch purses and clear bags from being brought into the stadium. That means no backpacks, large purses or diaper bags.
Some people didn’t hear about the new policy, and that created an issue at stadiums that hosted preseason openers on Thursday night. Other people simply don’t like the new policy.

so once more, the Terrorist win this round again.

maybe our elected government personnel should consult the Roman history authorities from our fellow busy bees,

and apply the time proven response to criminal and subversive activities.

    • canary says:

I guess the NFL didn’t see the news report US intelligence is saying terrorists are now implanting bombs in their bodies.

Interesting the Muslims went in for the kill for the falling Christian Roman Empire. Namely,
Egypt. We don’t need the Muslims to kill Christianity in the US anymore.

Obama to enforce his new “Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing,” policy to enforce more integration in the US.

Crazier is Obama once agreed with his idol Malcolm X who was for segregation with the exception of lighter skinned Muslims.

Didn’t Obama read his cowardly wife’s thesis that Blacks should be accommodated to live with other Blacks and not with Whites who made them feel paranoid as to even nice white people were faking it.

USNews: HUD Proposes Plan to Racially, Economically Integrate Neighborhoods
Move would allow Obama administration to institute policies that would better integrate communities

    By Elizabeth Flock – Aug 9, 2013

The Department of Housing and Urban Development has proposed a new plan to change U.S. neighborhoods it says are racially imbalanced or are too tilted toward rich or poor, arguing the country’s housing policies have not been effective at creating the kind of integrated communities the agency had hoped for.

The proposed federal rule, called “Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing,” is currently under a 60-day public comment period. Though details of how the policy would specifically work are unclear, the rule says HUD would provide states, local governments and others who receive agency money with data and a geospatial[sic] tool to look at “patterns of integration and segregation; racially and ethnically concentrated areas of poverty; access to education, employment, low-poverty, transportation, and environmental health.”

[STUDY: HUD Finds Anti-Gay Discrimination in Rental Housing]

The move has been welcomed by civil rights groups including the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, whose senior director of the economic department Dedrick Muhammad says the policy could result in more access to economic resources for minorities.

“African-Americans and Latinos are more likely to live in segregated communities, that are predominantly lower income, have less strong public resources, less schools and educational opportunities, employment opportunities.

I think since Obama grew up in private schools and rich people in Hawaii, and Michelle lived in what he described as Leave it to Beaver middle class, they know nothing of the “BUSING”

I was astonished Obama read a book in college trying to see why white people were afraid of black people. He and his wife just never experienced.

And here the Mexicans go to separate schools because their gangs are so notorious not even the Mexicans like the schools they go to with the latest technology, updates, and school perks to give them the best educations.

It’s not my road, but it’s very close. So, what Obama and his evil minions are focused on is Big City Problems. I’d like to see the ‘urban’ folk willing to plow this road six months of the year to get to a town 32 miles from where they live. Then fight range and forest fires, deal with their trash without County assistance, drive to town for the US Mail and only go the store once a month. Oh, and you better never let your gas tank fall below half. Trust me on this one.

Diversity? Out here? Wawawawa … (cartoon trombones) … not bloody likely. Although I will say Mesa County in Colorado, once far enough out no one much cared about it, is experiencing a federally mandated influx of urban minorities to their local college because of this kind of meddling. And boy, do they look confused and nervous. They don’t want to be there anymore than the locals want forced diversity.

Oh, that is so beautiful GBJ. I envy you in the 2 monhs of summer you get…lol.

I once had a flat tire on a road like that about 25 miles SW of Saratoga, WY. near the Medicine Bow National Forest. It was Friday and about 3 hours from sunset. The rims on my newly bought used Mercury Marquis required a key to get the hub cap off. Couldn’t find a key anywhere. To say I was a little apprehensive is a huge understatement. It’s lonely out there. My cell phone only worked intermittently but by the grtace of God I got through. It took 2.5 hours for the wrecker to come and snatch the cap off so I could change the tire.

We had a meeting when I went to work out there about always keeping a full tank of gas, carrying sterno, blankets, candles,. chocolate, peanut butter, ect. and many other life saving accoutrements in our vehicles in case you ran off the road or something. No one mentioned a crowbar…lol. I volunteered to be sent to the furthest reaches because I was the only single guy without a spouse and/or children.

Nature is beautiful but in many ways very dangerous to those who are naive about its moods.

I can’t imagine any city folk wanting to spend more than a cursory drive through in that country.

Dimocrats just can’t understand that people enjoy the company of those most like them. That’s not evil, it’s human nature. God seperated humanity when they tried to conquer him at the Tower of Babel.

Dimocrats think that all social problems would be solved if they could just force the hard working white people to live in the same neighborhoods as poor blacks so that maybe some of that work ethic wwould rub off on them and their tax dollars could be used to support them, keep the streets clean and fight their crime for them. I’ve got news for them. That only serves to drag whites down and we’re already paying for all the other. You can put all the lipstick you want on that pig. It still stinks like $h*t.

Desegregation of the schools had the same effect in my area. Middles class whites, whose families didn’t elect to or couldn’t afford to send their kids to private school, level of education dropped as did their moral and ethical standards and what we ended up with is a bunch of wiggers. The blacks didn’t rise to the occasion, the whites fell to theirs.

I’m going to piss some people off here, but I’ve always said that Elvis Presley was one of the worst things that ever happened to this country because he brought black music to white kids just as Jazz, Big Band and Swing had done to their parents and that was the begining of the lowering of standards for whites in this country.

If you don’t expect much from people that’s exactly what you’ll get. Not much!

We’ve lowered our culture to the lowest common denominator of sex, drugs and rock & roll. It really seems to be working great….for Satan.

    • mr_bill says:

The people who live in the poor, crime-riddled areas are the people responsible for poverty and crime.

Thank you for the mention of the busing program, Canary. In grade school, I was one of the participants in this program. My family lived in a white, middle-class neighborhood and for 4th, 6th, and 9th grades (our town had separate schools for H.S. freshmen, because freshman classes were so large) we were shipped across town to some schools that were nestled in housing projects (read: crack houses). Conversely, students from these schools were sent to my neighborhood school for 5th grade. When we got to junior high, students were given the option to choose general, advanced, or honors level courses. I chose honors level as did nearly all of my friends (read: neighbors). Those students from the poor areas invariably chose the general level throughout junior high and high school. We all had the same opportunity for the same education, yet some actively chose mediocrity. If you choose mediocrity, you shouldn’t be rewarded with the same outcome as those who actively worked for success. Success is the culmination of good decisions, just as mediocrity is the sum of bad decisions.

Every attempt at reducing the disparity between classes fails. Why? Because those who are responsible for poverty choose poverty. When this country makes it difficult to be poor, this will change. Until then, the losers see the productive class as “suckers” who work hard for the things they get for “free.” This HUD proposal is just another soon-to-fail attempt at equality of outcome. It will fail because the prospective transplants to middle class neighborhoods don’t actually want to be there. If they did, they would have worked for it, which they have chosen not to do.

This is nothing more than the equal sharing of misery. The democrat party loves poverty so much, they want everybody to have some.

    • canary says:

Mr Bill, the blacks were so angry they beat up kids daily. Threatened teachers for money. You could not go to a ball game, you could not go to the zoo and two amusement parks closed down. you could not go the zoo, amusement parks closed down. How do they think white kids felt having to the blacks schools 45 minute drives and people not getting to go to schools where they bought homes just to have their children end up bused far away.

Where lived in the country in what you could describe the wild wild west (as to the culture) it was common people carrying guns all the time. Everyone was white, and there was real sob who’d get drunk and drive around drunk shooting. The Sheriffs dept would not do anything because ever Sherriff got involved with the drug trading. First with white people and now with the Mexicans. They never kept the dirt road and when Mexicans took over they paved they road?
One bought a piece of land for 34,000 thousand in cash that wasn’t even worth it. Anyways, my old friends at the end of their ropes. Went out a few days ago, and a Mexican came out and and took a machete and whacked the one Mexican’s beautiful 3 year old horse with it.
So, we are thinking of a neighborhood watch and armed. It will be interesting to see if some of the Mexicans (haven’t found any that can speak English well) would join the neighborhood watch and try and put a stop to the thugs. Not sure there are any nice ones out there.
I been asked to move back there and help, as no one messed with me and my kids because
I had guns. But, Mexicans are much worse than the white people. It’s their culture and reality is reality and it’s time we stop being cowards and discuss racial problems and understand they people want to live with people who share their culture and so the idea of forced integration
Is a no winner for anyone. Our country’s leader likes the rich celebrities, always loved traveling and so has chosen a culture and loves it. He is not spending time with low income friends or his family members. So, why should he regulate and force the little people to live with people different values. I don’t want to hear filthy rap music from neighbors or thugs walking by with boom boxes blasting violent music. The Mexican paid $34,000 in cash as in green currency.
They always have lots of green money handy.

Nozy, are you a Landman by any chance?

    • Noyzmakr says:

I spent most of my years in that business as a Right of Way agent but did pull a 10 month stint as a Landman about 10 years back. My lady friend and her sister still work in that particular area of expertise. If you have a question I can’t answer I can always ask them.

It’s a complicated area of the oil & gas bussiness. Everytime I had a question about a certain aspect of a lease I would ask more experienced agents who would each give a different answer. I was never sure if they were purposely leading me down the primrose path or if they just didn’t know and were faking it or if they were trying to get me fired. It’s a very competitive business.

So, in a long winded way of answering your question, yes. What can I help you with?

Oh, by the way, it’s Noyzmakr…pronounced noise maker. Dating back to my keyboard playing band days…..although I am a little nosey….lol.

International Business Times: Pakistani Appeals for UK Help to Save 30in Moustache[sic] from Islamic Extremists

    Aug 10 2013

The man – Malik Amir Mohammad Khan Afridi – has been forced to live in hiding because he wishes to keep his facial hair.

This is the second time Afridi has run into trouble over his facial hair. The first time, furious extremists kidnapped him and held him hostage for a month before he shaved.

However, despite his ordeal, the father of 10 children has grown his whiskers once again and is determined to keep them this time.

“… This is the only choice in my life. I’d even sacrifice food, but not the moustache[sic]…”

Afridi claims he spends 30 minutes every day to groom his moustache[sic] and that it costs him £100 a month.

Unfortunately for Afridi, he has caught the attention of a rebel militant group – Lashkar-e-Islam. They wish to enforce a law that demands men either trim or shave clean moustaches[sic] and beards.

Afridi now often lives away from his family, for whom he feels scared, as a result of these threats.

“…. But I am also willing to go to countries such as the US, Canada or Britain. I would like to appeal to the British government to help me,” he told The Independent.

From the (ugh) New York Times:

WBAI-FM Lays Off Most of Staff

    By Ben Sisario

WBAI-FM, the noncommercial radio station that has been a liberal fixture in New York for more than 50 years, laid off about two-thirds of its staff last week, including its entire news department, because of long-simmering financial difficulties.

In a tearful on-air announcement on Friday, Summer Reese, the interim executive director of the Pacifica Foundation, which owns WBAI, said that after talks with SAG-Aftra, the union that represents broadcasting talent, “we will be laying off virtually everyone whose voice you recognize on the air,” effective Monday.

She said on the air that 75 percent of the staff would be let go, but in an interview over the weekend she said that the final number was 19 out of the station’s 29 employees, about 66 percent.

Andrew Phillips, the former general manager of another of Pacifica’s five stations, KPFA-FM in Berkeley, Calif., has been appointed WBAI’s interim program director.

A spokeswoman for SAG-Aftra declined to comment.

So a liberal radio station that leans far, far, far to the left of even most liberal stations, has to lay off most of their staff because of union demands.

    I love it.

    • Noyzmakr says:

And all this happening in the second term of the most radical leftist president, executive branch and senate pushing the agenda that these same people have been claiming would solve all our problems.

Mali’s Military Deserters who led coup allowing Al-Qaeda to take over Mali “Promoted” to “Generals”!

The West supports it. The Article is in error because the reporter said the thousands of French soldiers defeated Al-Qaeda when all they did was run Al-Qaeda out along with many more than joined them.

Reuters: Mali’s Coup-Leading Army Captain Promoted to General

    By Tiemoko Diallo – Aug 15 2013

BAMAKO (Reuters) – Mali’s outgoing government has promoted to the rank of general an army captain who led a coup last year that plunged the West African nation into crisis and allowed al Qaeda-linked fighters to seize the desert north.

Diplomats in Bamako said the surprise move by the government of interim President Dioncounda Traore was meant to push Captain Amadou Aya Sanogo towards retirement to allow president-elect Ibrahim Boubacar Keita to start with a clean slate.

Diplomats said he had resisted pressure to leave the army until he received the promotion to four-star general, which gives him the status of a former head of state and immunity from prosecution.

“This was a move taken for the sake of stability,” said one Western diplomatic source.

Colonel Moussa Sinko Coulibaly, another former junta member who serves as minister of territorial administration in Mali’s interim government, was promoted to brigadier general.

The decision to promote Sanogo outraged Human Rights Watch which, along with other campaigners, accused the junta of arbitrary detention, torture and enforced disappearances.

“Instead of being rewarded for his behaviour, Sanogo should have been investigated for his involvement in very serious abuses committed over the last 18 months,” said Corinne Dufka, who investigated the abuses for HRW.
