Java, crowd of thousands force Islamic fundamentalists to flee

    by Mathias Haryadi – 07/19/2013

Jakarta (AsiaNews) – This morning, thousands of Indonesians attacked and chased members of the Islamic Defender Front (FPI), Islamic extremist group, from Patehan (Kendal Regency, Central Java).

Members of the fundamentalist organization ran riot around the city on motorcycles and in vans, to disturb the public peace and cause unrest among the population, fasting for Ramadan.

At that point, thousands on the Islamic extremists, forcing them to flee. 27 of them sought refuge in a mosque nearby.

Police arrived on the scene and calmed the anger of the crowd, allowing the militants to leave.

Inside the place of worship officers found and confiscated weapons and heavy artillery, belonging to FPI members.

Increasingly the people of Indonesia seem less willing to stand for the excesses, violent and provocative attitudes of the Islamic Defender Front.

I think the author is confused.

    What’s in your local mosque.
What must Egypt and Indonesia think of protests in the US. Indonesia certainly protested when Obama came to visit and the Indonesia Military had to guard to him everywhere he went. Before he became president he could not wait until his daughters were old enough to visit his favorite childhood home with the greatest Muslim population in the world.

EPA revising Energy Star requirements leading to the ability to shut down your appliances during peak hours.

Investor’s Business Daily: EPA Wants Gov’t To Control How Cold Your Beer Can Be

    07/05/2013 06:09

In a seemingly innocuous revision of its Energy Star efficiency requirements announced June 27, the Environmental Protection Agency included an “optional” requirement for a “smart-grid” connection for customers to electronically connect their refrigerators or freezers with a utility provider.

The feature lets the utility provider regulate the appliances’ power consumption, “including curtailing operations during more expensive peak-demand times.”

“Manufacturers that build in and certify optional ‘connected features’ will earn a credit towards meeting the Energy Star efficiency requirements,” according to an EPA email to CNSNews.com.

We’re reminded that former EPA director Carol Browner was a big fan of the smart grid and its potential ability to monitor and control power usage down to the thermostat in your home.

“Eventually,” she told U.S. News & World Report in 2009, “we can get to a system when an electric company will be able to hold back some of the power so that maybe your air-conditioner won’t operate at its peak.”

The same year, President Obama, who had won election on a pledge to “fundamentally transform America,” signed a stimulus bill to “transform the way we use energy” with a smart grid that would abandon “a grid of lines and wires that dates back to Thomas Edison — a grid that can’t support the demands of clean energy.”

And the EPA’s global initiate is doing everything to regulate and mandate how to you get to the store and buy your beer and groceries. How much food will be ruined when you are forced to take a bus, or choose the new global bicycle system. They are doing the bike thing here in my little city. You buy a monthly ticket.

Not sure if there will be sani-wipes at each depot to wipe bike seats a home to so many
    butt holes and crotches.

    I’ll keep ya posted.

If there was ever any doubt about the race baiting the “media” loves to do, check out the headline from the ever guttural TMZ:

    GEORGE ZIMMERMAN
    CRASH VICTIMS WERE WHITE

The family that George Zimmerman rescued from an overturned SUV in Florida last week is white … this according to the police report obtained by TMZ.

According to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, the two adults who were pulled out of their overturned SUV on July 17 were described as a white male and a white female. …

    http://www.tmz.com/2013/07/22/.....ims-white/

Clearly one of the more disgusting things TMZ has done of late.

    • “Clearly one of the more disgusting things TMZ has done of late.”

      Everything TMZ does is disgusting.

So, we’re suppose to believe that GZ checked the race of the people in a burning, over-turned van before he decided to pull over, stop and help. Maybe he thought they were white hispanics. Or maybe, just maybe, they were covered with soot from the fire and he thought they might be minorities. Or, maybe he thought they were arsonists and he was there to make the citizens arrest.

I’m sure the media think it was just a set up by his publicist to make the Zman look good after the verdict. Next, he’ll bound from tall buildings and out run speeding trains then TMZ can investigate if he can take small arms fire without a vest or see through walls. What a bunch of lefty Idiots!

and did Carney do the probing?

Anthony Weiner unable to stop Sexting Addiction and Politico is being paid by Democrats to be biased.

AP: Anthony Weiner caught in another sexting scandal

    By Jonathan Lemire – July 23 2013

NEW YORK (AP) — Anthony Weiner found himself caught in another sexting scandal Tuesday like the one that destroyed his congressional career, but stood side-to-side with his wife to say that he won’t drop out of the race for mayor of New York.

“This is entirely behind me,” Weiner said at an evening news conference, hours after the gossip website The Dirty posted X-rated text messages and a crotch photo that it said the former congressman exchanged with a woman.

Weiner confirmed sending sexually explicit photos and messages to a woman online and acknowledged some of the activity took place as recently last summer, more than a year after he resigned from the House in disgrace for the same sort of behavior with at least a half-dozen women.

“I want to bring my vision to the people of the city of New York,” Weiner said,

His wife smiling faintly and shyly by his side. “I hope they are willing to still continue to give me a second chance.”

This time, she reaffirmed her support for her husband and said the matter is “between us.”

“I love him, I have forgiven him, I believe in him, and as we have said from the beginning, we are moving forward,”…

“It’s in our rear-view mirror, but it’s not far.”

After the news conference, Weiner attended a mayoral forum on gay men’s issues and was warmly received.

The woman with whom he exchanged the messages was not identified by The Dirty.

She claimed Weiner used the alias “Carlos Danger” for their exchanges, but she knew she was talking to the former congressman.

The exchanges posted on The Dirty consist of sexually explicit fantasizing about various sex acts.

At one point, the man reported to be Weiner wrote, “I’m deeply flawed.”

The woman said Weiner promised to help her get a job at the political website Politico and suggested meeting in a Chicago condo for a tryst.

The Dirty ran a pixelated photo of what appears to be a man’s genitals.

“This was a bad situation for me because I really admired him….”

The woman claimed her relationship with Weiner “fizzled” in November 2012.

Weiner said his last illicit sexting exchange happened “sometime last summer, I think” and admitted it took place after he and his wife sat down for a glowing People magazine profile in which they said their troubles were behind them.

“It makes it tougher to believe this is behind him,” said Democratic former state Assemblyman Michael Benjamin, now a political consultant.

    http://news.yahoo.com/anthony-.....05016.html

Is Weiner not racist against Mexicans using the alias “Carlos Danger” implying Mexicans are dangerous or into S&M?

“He then entered two years of self-imposed political exile, only to return this spring.”

Wiener spent all that lone time in exile with plenty of erectile and now NY can wonder as Mayor what he will be doing. He is sick and needs help. Where’s Jesse Jackson?
Don’t think a Muslim inman would find fault. Not his fault bigamy isn’t legal yet.

    • canary

uh oh. Wiener just said he apologized to his wife and “I hope “he” (oops he meant “she) can forgive me.”

Anyways his wife says this is between just the two of them and she loves him.

The heck it is. This is about a Wiener aka Carlos Danger that has a sick problem which will effect New York and all it’s people.

    • canary

And Wiener’s wife sad that “she” went through extremely intensive extensive therapy to deal with her husband’s behavior as if she was the one that needed help.
She did not say her husband Anthony Wiener got help for his indecent exposure problem.

I would say she has a lousy therapist that didn’t tell her to stay away from the dangerous pervert until he got therapy.

At first I figured Hillary and Bill Clinton gave Wiener’s wife therapy, but when she ended that after all that she made the decision to “move forward”, I am guessing Michelle Obama who had a lousy marriage and her recent slip calling herself a busy single mother as she felt in her marriage before Obama became president and became a millionaire and her a photo shopped model. In June I saw a clip she jumped rope with little girls to promote her move forward and plug her husband’s 2nd campaign and she was the hugest she’s been. She sure lost weight fast. Maybe some lipo while Obama got golf lesson from Tiger Woods who also was a sexter addict.

Also announced on FOX – Obama moving forward for US to arm Syrian rebels

Reuters: Exclusive: U.S. congressional hurdles lifted on arming Syrian rebels

By Tabassum Zakaria and Susan Cornwell – July 23 2013

(Reuters) – President Barack Obama will move forward with a plan for the United States to arm the struggling Syrian rebels after some congressional concerns were eased, officials said on Monday.

“We have been working with Congress to overcome some of the concerns that they initially had, and we believe that those concerns have been addressed and that we will now be able to proceed,” a source familiar with the administration’s thinking told Reuters on condition of anonymity.

Part of the logjam was broken on July 12 when members of the Senate Intelligence Committee who had questioned the wisdom of arming the insurgents decided behind closed doors to tentatively agree that the administration could go ahead with its plans, but sought updates as the covert effort proceeded.

Now, the House committee has also given at least a cautious go-ahead.

The source familiar with the administration’s thinking said, “The committees were persuaded and we will be able to move forward.”

Committee sessions on arming the rebels are classified and have been held in secret.

Senior government figures like Secretary of State John Kerry have briefed lawmakers behind closed doors to persuade them to back the White House’s Syria strategy.

Representative Adam Schiff, a Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, opposes sending U.S. arms to the rebels.

“It’s too late to affect the outcome with a small amount of arms,” Schiff said. “I think we would have to provide such a massive amount of arms, and additional military support to change the balance on the battlefield, that we would inevitably be drawn deeply into the civil war,” he said.

“And I think we also have to expect that some of the weapons we provide are going to get into the hands of those who would use them against us,” Schiff said.

He said his view is probably a minority one within the intelligence committee – but that for many Americans, after two wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, there is “little appetite for getting involved in a third.”

The fighting is further evidence that the 2011 uprising against Assad’s rule has splintered into turf wars that have little to do with ousting him.

McClatchy: Joint Chiefs Chairman Dempsey offers bleak view of U.S. military options in Syria

By William Douglas | McClatchy Washington Bureau – July 22 2013

The letter, dated Friday and released Monday, was written at the senators’ request following a contentious committee hearing last week in which Levin and McCain were dissatisfied with Dempsey’s response to a question about whether he’d recommended U.S. intervention in Syria to President Barack Obama. Dempsey said such a decision was a civilian one, and that he had only discussed the miliary[sic] options with the president.

Only now have congressional intelligence committees signed off on a proposal the Obama administration made more than a month ago to have the CIA funnel unspecified arms and training to rebels aligned with the moderate Supreme Military Council, led by a defected Syrian general, Salim Idriss.

In describing the no-fly zone option, Dempsey said that the U.S. could use “lethal force to prevent the (Assad) regime from using its military aircraft to bomb and resupply,” and that such a move would likely result in “the near total elimination of the regime’s ability to bomb opposition strongholds and sustain its forces by air.”

But he said such an effort would cost $500 million and $1 billion a month and would run the risk of having U.S. boots on the ground if American jets were shot down by Syrian anti-aircraft systems.

Dempsey offered similarly bleak assessments of four other options.

“Force requirements would include hundreds of aircraft, ships, submarines, and other enablers,” Dempsey wrote.

But the option would require a limited no-fly zone and thousands of U.S. ground forces, which would cost the U.S. over $1 billion per month.

Finally, Dempsey detailed trying to control Syria’s chemical weapons to prevent Assad from using them.

He also made reference to the disorganized Syrian civilian opposition, which has had little success in putting aside internal rivalries to prepare to govern Syria. “Should the regime’s institutions collapse in the absence of a viable opposition, we could inadvertently empower extremists or unleash the very chemical weapons we seek to control,” he said.

Not like anyone should be surprised at Facebook’s far-left bias, but here’s a fun trick:

In the “Search” box on Facebook, enter the text “Fox News.”

The first entry that comes up is not for Fox News but rather for the group NOT The Fox News Channel…News that is unfair and unbalanced” – a group that has a whopping 965 members compared to Fox News’ 3,168,042 likes…
